Obama is considering Jennifer Granholm for the Supreme Court
And why not?
After that fine job she did as Governor of Michigan she would be on anybody’s short list for the job

I don’t see the Republicans in Congress suggesting anybody for the SC seat. Democrats did this every time Bush was searching for a nominee.
Not to worry though. When the nominee is announced, a small group of Democrats will have a presser out on the steps of the Supreme Court. Obama will give a quick press conference later that evening.
After that, the Democrats will not say another word about the nominee. They will just sit back and watch as Republican after Republican nods their head in approval. There won’t even be a debate; only 10 minutes of high-fives, and atta-boys for Obama.

The point is that Obama is likely to get his nominee on the bench by a vote of 99-0 or pretty damn close. And the Democrats won’t have to break a sweat.

These early names that are floated are usually just red herrings.
It will not be an airhead like Granholm, it will be a hardcore ACLU lefty out of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg mold.
Probably either female or Hispanic, but I would be very surprised if it is Hillary. Obama is not going to do Hillary any favors–he stuck her at State where she can be controlled.
