Finally Found on a New York Times Spindle: October’s Obama-ACORN Story
Have you ever seen one of those old pointed metal spindles that used to sit on desks? The Online Etymology Dictionary notes they were used for rejected news. That’s the derivation of the term to “spike” a story.
If you followed the news of Heather Heidelbaugh’s testimony before a House Judiciary sub-committee in March regarding Obama, ACORN and The New York Times, this will come as no surprise, but it’s worth noting.
From Jim Hoft, the Gateway Pundit:
Confirmed: NY Times Spiked Major Obama-ACORN Story Before Election
The New York Times confirmed yesterday that it killed a story in October that would have shown a close link between ACORN, Project Vote and the Obama campaign.
Jim has some excellent links. Don’t miss Power Line’s: Killing A Story: How It’s Done.

MSM no longer deserves to be called journalists. They are propagandists pure and simple. Pinch Sulzberger and Jeff Zucker are no better than Goebbels. Brian Williams is nothing more than a more sophistivcated version of “Baghdad Bob.”

Really, is anyone surprised?
The only surprising part is that although NYT is no doubt expecting its quid-pro-quo payoff now that it is tottering on the brink of financial collapse, it is probably not going to happen.

Not at all surprising that important news was selectively buried by NYT, but why discuss now? It’s the hundred day rule: Now that got B Hussein safely elected and entrenched, let’s experiment with a story that might sell a few issues of our club newsletter to the unwashed out there. The corporate suits seem ticked about our numbers. What’s wrong with those neanderthals anyway, I don’t know anyone that doesn’t read the Times.
