Michelle Malkin had a very intuitive feature article of her site yearerday about how U.S. jails have become a breeding ground for Islam and have produced a number of converts who are a real threat to our nation. All the more reason to keep GITMO open.

My best friend from high school works in a federal prison. She told me about radical islam recruiting 10 years ago. She told me about the literature they had to confiscate from prisoners that screamed for jihad against the U.S. These people were Americans that were recruiting. Imagine the hundreds of thousands of really angry nasty pieces of crap just waiting to be let loose on unsuspecting citizens.
I wonder if we could ammend the Constitution to add on at least 10 years in the pokey for those caught with the literature and 20 years for those recruiting?

this has been going on for years…and thousands of these ex-cons are now essentially mini-”sleeper cells”
when (not “if”) Jihad comes to America again, it won’t be in airliners…but in face-to-face encounters across this country. I pray America has enough resolve left to withstand the onslaught.

Like Mamacags I had some advance warning long before reality set in. My brother-in-law has a small construction company in northern Indiana. 15 – 20 years ago his company did some subcontracting on new mosque construction. He told me back then, “You’re not gonna believe these people. They’re absolutely nuts.”

Excellent observation! I like to think that MLK would have bitch-slapped “Reverend” Wright (even more) senseless!
The Jihadis don’t need to bring foot-soldiers to America…they’re already here. In the prisons, in the militant mosques, and in the pews of the “Reverend” Wrights of America.
With so many groups waiting to carve us up, it’s going to be interesting to see who has the sharpest caving knife!

Islam is the most sexist religion on the face of the earth and is mired in the seventh century.

It is the perverse logic of Leftism. Anything that contradicts or assaults the traditional American way of life and American values is to be applauded and celebrated, even when those things run directly counter to many ideas of the Left.
And even when the useful idiots are the first to the guillotine.
Most leftists are in fact useful idiots, but the leaders–including the leaders of the Democrat party, starting with Obama–are not.
Mark Levin made the comment the other day that he believes that, given a different situation, these people would be pursuing revolution using very….different….tactics. I can’t say that I disagree with him.
