NY Times and CBS REALLY Stack Poll Numbers
[A]ccording to the actual poll data, of the 73% of respondents who said they voted in 2008 only 34% voted for McCain and 66% for Obama.
As the final tally last year was 53 percent to 46 percent, this poll WAY oversampled Obama voters.
As can be plainly seen on page 7 of the poll’s data, only 73 percent of respondents divulged who they voted for last November. 48 percent said Obama, 25 percent McCain.
What this means is this poll surveyed 66 percent Obama supporters versus 34 percent McCain.
When two corrupt and totally dishonest organizations like the New York Times and CBS News get together to conduct a poll, what can be expected other than a totally dishonest poll?
Noel Sheppard at newsbusters.org provides the details.

[1]
even for the NY Times and CBS this is stunning. In fact, I have seen THIS level of poll rigging since, well, 10 days ago in Iran!
The single biggest similarity between the Left in this country and the Mullahs in Iran…they’ll do ANYTHING to achieve and retain POWER!
[2]
What can you do against this level of dishonesty? How is this any different from the Soviets or North Korea?
The only difference is they are now rounding us up, yet. But if we don’t stop telling everyone we can the truth, we will soon be at that point.
Good post. Tell everyone you can at work tomorrow.
[3]
“not rounding us up” I should have said….oy vey.
[4]
It’s so hot in FL this weekend. 95 degrees in the shade. Spent all day outside yesterday and the pool is the only way to cool off.
Ridiculous. Detailing a car or even mowing the yard with a push mower is a serious effort in this heat.
[5]
Eh, 95, that just a warm up out here in Texas. We don’t think it is hot till the temp is triple digits.
[6]
well, humidity. I was in CA when they had a couple 95-96 degree days and with the air dry enough to chap your lips, you could walk around outside for hours and hardly perspire.
Here, anything over 90, and you need a shower.
But we’ve just come off a cool spring, only a handful of hot days until this month…from now till October, though, it’s going to be a sauna.
[7]
And I said 95 in the shade. Out there on the pavement doing a bike ride it’s 100+…
[8]
You can’t stop your head from sweating, that’s the problem. You go outside to sweep off your garage floor, stack some supplies and put away some tools, and after a half hour you’re dripping from the head and neck, while only beginning to sweat in your shirt.
bah. No rain for a change, it’s been hitting us daily, and the storms cool everything off to the upper 80s.
Not this weekend. Everyone is hiding inside.
[9]
not to be a crying sissy or anything. you just get tired of sweating. Of course a couple years ago I was in upstate MI and the temps hit 95+ for three days running, and nobody up there in cottage country has any A/C.
So you have to sleep in it, although the nights were ok since we were on the water..
[10]
ok, I admit it… wahhh!
[11]
RWY would you like some cheese with that whine?
[12]
wahhhh!

You’re right. It is no different than Russia in the days of the USSR or North Korea. My guess is Pravda is now more honest and accurate than the NY Times, CBS, CNN, the Sarcamento Bee or Detroit Free Press.
That’s why, in my opinion, it is so important to get this war out in the open. The more people are aware, the less they will trust MSM. Although Bill Keller, executive editor of the NYT, said this morning that the Times isn’t really pro-Obama.

Has to be experienced to be believed
95+ temp 90%+ humidity
Welcome to the Amazon, all we’re missing is Mr Allnut and the malaria

They’re going to end up polling all African American billionaires whose name starts with O if they have to
They will do anything to keep these numbers up

How much bitching did you hear us yankees do when it was below zero last winter? At least you don’t have to shovel snow or drive down ice covered roads. You’re starting to sound like John McCain and Lindsay Graham. Get a grip man.
[17]
MFG -
Early in my career I was working as ad manager for an RV firm. The head of the ad agency was best friends with the head of my division. He had aprinter in New Orleans print our brochures in August. It took FOREVER for the ink to dry. I don’t remember the printer but the hotel I stayed at was Maison DuPree. Does it still exist?
[18]
Graham? GRAHAM????? wahhhh!
[19]
RWY, sorry dude but you are crying to a 3rd generation Floridian. Till 1965, all we had were central attic fans. Air conditioning was something you went to the movie theatre for. I remember years when the air was so thick with moisture that the orange trees grew roots on top of the canopy. (alright I made that last on up…)
[20]
Seriously, I view the Carolinas and Tennessee as ideal places to live. Neither summers nor winters are too bad.
[21]
CBS News is now reporting that after the high-stakes negotiations at the ice cream parlor yesterday, Obama took the day off to play golf.
The message from the Big “O”: It’s only important if I SAY it’s important, and WHEN I say it’s important! So we can all relax about the double-digit unemployment, $2 trillion deficit, government takeover of major industries, and the Iranian uprising.
FORE!
[22]
Of course, on Toulouse St, yes it’s still there!
I had relatives from Milwaukee visit me one year in August (which is probably the worst month of the year for temp and humidity) and they gave me these looks, as if to say, “You LIVE here? How…???”
[23]
New Orleans in June, July, August
Has to be experienced to be believed
95+ temp 90%+ humidity
Welcome to the Amazon, all we’re missing is Mr Allnut and the malaria
I’ve been there during those months. Hotter than hell. Same with AL and MI. Unreal, the combination of 95-100 degree temps and near 100% humidity…
Anyway, I’ve been outside the last few weekends more than usual, and compared to March April May, you really start to feel it this time of year.
I’ve been in extreme cold, and the only thing that bothers my about that is the dryness. You want SOME humidity, just not a bloody lot.
Funny thing is you look at the pictoral history of the South, in particular the deep South from East Texas over to SC and FL, and all you see are people in full formal dress complete with long sleeve shirts and coats, and boots and hats. And they had nothing but fans if that, with no refrigeration whatever.
Man, what a drag.
[24]
Dr Dog
I remember that
We all were dying to go to the movies on Saturday
Who cares what was playing, the theater had AIR CONDITIONING!!!
[25]
the pool water is 85-90 degrees in this crap. Feels like a warm bath….
[26]
Aaah Carolinas. Lovely states. Arkansas for all the gruff it takes is also very livable if you get to the northern end of the state.
[27]
Yahoo
I know why people love California, my broker dealer’s home office is in Southern CA and the temps at 90% just don’t bother you very much with the humidity so much lower
[28]
Anyway. You have to go outside, then too bad, suck it up and get er’ done.
I detail my cars head to toe 4x/year, which I can get away with since it’s only central FL and not the coastal areas. Otherwise it would be once a month.
Anyway, a full detail on a suburban is a 5-6 hour job and the June/September ones will test your commitment to a waxy finish…
[29]
the temps at 90% just don’t bother you very much with the humidity so much lower
yep. 90 feels like 75 out there. And I was in west TX a few years ago, and at 100+ it was only starting to feel hot. Not really bad at all.
[30]
So what I am saying is it’s a wee bit hot out this weekend. Grilling is a drag, unless you can jump in the pool between brushing and flipping….
[31]
RWY,
From about 1600-1850 was the little ice age. Temps were cooler then. But even when I was a kid, it was hell visiting grandma via the train. She lived just north of Orlando and everyone knew you did not want to be in Orlando or Tallahassee July and August.
There is a weather cycle I believe that has been broken in Fla with the urbanization of the coasts. Used to be May thru August you could set your watch by the afternoon summer showers hitting the coasts then moving inland. Not anymore.
[32]
Suck it up guys.
The father of a friend of mine use to work over glass domes where the temperature got over 150 degrees and they had to wear long sleeve shirts to prevent their arms from burning.
My brother who was in the navy went from the artic in the north atlantic to the equator during the same deployment. When in the Persian Gulf they were on 2 hour work shifts where the temperature in the engine room was well over 120 degrees. Outside it was over 100 degrees.
[33]
Used to be May thru August you could set your watch by the afternoon summer showers hitting the coasts then moving inland. Not anymore.
It still happens, but it’s less regular. We’ve just been thru 4 weeks of it, at least one storm each day, in the midafternoon and going into the evening. Cools everything off nicely.
Here northwest of Orlando is the edge of a drought-prone area, and our climate constantly alternates between the subtropical daily soaking, and nasty 3-4 week periods without rain, that can kill your perfect lawn in a couple weeks and broil your brains with dusty, still air.
[34]
It’s fun in central Florida when you get cloudburts. Local small showers that start without warning, one thunderclap and you’re getting drenched. The only drawback is they sometimes bring lightning right on top of your head.
[35]
Its even more fun to have the blacktop turning to mush with oil oosing out, have a summer shower hit and watch all the Illinois plates skate across the 4 lanes.
[36]
The mullet loves his North Carolina home. We have temperature and humidity extremes but they are short-lived.
Ya’ll come on over and offset some of these liberals moving into our state.
Now that’s an extreme I can’t tolerate.
[37]
NC is nice. Muddy in spring, and muggy in summer. But hey, anywhere east of the miss, river has that problem.
NE is where it’s brutal. Summer and autumn are nice, but winter? Going to work every day in that slop? bah.
[38]
Mullet -
I agree the Carolinas are ideal.
I’m just glad Yahoo doesn’t live in Michigan because I am not sure he could handle it. Cold weather, snow and it’s overcast almost constantly between November and March because of the Great Lakes. Then there’s the Democrats.
Try detailing your SUV in 10 degree temperature, Yahoo. I don’t know anyone who does it, but it sounds like fun. Yahoo would probably have the “big one” the first time he got stuck behind a salt truck.
[39]
Oh…. I can handle it.
Try detailing your SUV in 10 degree temperature, Yahoo.
Doesn’t sound too lovely. My wife used to live there and we go back every year in summer. Only been once in fall, and it was fine, but only Nov.
what is “the big one”? cardiac arrest?
don’t you guys zeebart your underbodies up there to keep your car from rusting away to nothing?
[40]
I know, FL people are spoiled. My dad used to live north of Toronto and remembers washing his car in 0 degrees…
[41]
I drove in snow a few times, and out in the country where they dont plow or salt the roads very often either. You get to practice your slide control on roads with 2 feet of snowpack.
I remember in an ice storm once my grille was clogged with sleet, and the car was overheating so I had to get out and push all the ice out so the radiator could breathe. That was on a mountain where an ice storm came out of nowhere at about 25-30 degrees.
[42]
“don’t you guys zeebart your underbodies up there………”
I heard they used red wool with drop-down flaps on their underbodies.

Bc, thanks, I liked those videos. I am fine with Sarah and all those issues, but I guess I am looking for something a little more philosophical and broad reaching, something along the lines of what Reagan used to give, a philosophically based speech standing up for small gov and individual freedoms. A little founding-fathers type lingo.
her acceptance of amnesty during the last election disturbed me as well.
But she is ok, and I can’t think of anyone clearly better. Romney, bah.
[45]
I would love it if Sarah was FL gov, for example…
[46]
The stage is set for a GOP leader to state, in strong terms, America’s support for freedom and against oppression. Time to step up.
We have a coward in the White House, or even more possible, a traitor to our ideals and a terrorist sympathizer. As President, he has wasted America’s greatest opportunity since the end of WWII. He could have made a strong statement in support of the Iranian people and against the oppression and suppression by the ruthless Iranian dictators.
Instead, he sits on his thumbs in the White House and plans his spin on his failure to act and his stupid Cairo speech. How in God’s name did this punk get elected to the nation’s highest office?
[47]
Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers on this board, and fathers everywhere!
[48]
Yes, it would be nice for everyone. She could wear something more comfortable than parkas and wool winter suits, get to other states to support Republicans and pro-life causes more frequently.
Remember, there is a reason why Palin is constantly being attacked by liberals in MSM and via frivilous ethics charges and it’s not because they consider her “unqualified.” If liberals did not consider her a serious threat, why would they attack her? Two years ago no U.S. company was interested in the Alaska natural gas pipeline, so she teamed with TransCanada to get it started. Now ExxonMobil wants in. In effect she outfoxed the world’s largest corporation. They will ba paying for a large chunk of a pipeline they said they were not interested in. As governor of Alaska, she will have a legacy issue George Bush tried so hard to get, but never achieved.

RWY,
Smart money up North have beater cars for the commute in the winter. Its not quite as painful on the wallet as sliding that new $32k car into a ditch after caroming off some barriers.

Thanks.

Vehicle manufacturers (foreign and domestic do a far better job of rustproofing cars and trucks than they did 20 years ago. Ziebart’s headquarters is only about three miles from my office. It looks like a real small company. There was another company (called Rusty Jones) that has long been out of business. Rustproofing used to be a high profit option for dealers, but it’s just about dead now.
[53]
From Wikipedia -
Rusty Jones Inc. filed for bankruptcy protection in 1988 claiming that automakers’ extension of factory warranties against rust had caused their business to deteriorate. Between 1985 and 1988, the company’s distribution network declined from 3,000 new car dealerships to just 1,800. [1] However, there is some disagreement regarding why the company went out of business, as former director of marketing Bruce Freud claimed in an interview that the company was “unbelievably profitable”, but that their insurance carrier (who serviced the rust warranties on Rusty Jones treated vehicles) filed for bankruptcy, creating problems for the company.[2]
[54]
In the CNN video Sarah’s main complain about Obama is the rate he is growing gornerment. She is okay with growing government, her problem is the that Obama is doing it too fast. Sounds like a RINO to me. Reagan would be talking about reducing the size of government. BIG DIFFERENCE.
[55]
Smart money up North have beater cars for the commute in the winter.
Beater cars have issues with things like you know, brakes, suspension, heaters, cooling systems, good traction/4wd..
I don’t know but I’d bet a beater car in the winter of all things, would be a death wish.
I’d want to get my truck rustproofed and a good underbody wash once or twice a week. icy roads call for 4wd, anti-lock brakes, and 5mph bumpers, things that beater cars don’t have…..
[56]

What a horrible post. You can do better than that. You sound like a democrat when the issue is
1 Palin
2 you know what else.
[57]
Chekote – you have a hearing problem, very selective. I heard Sarah say that she believed in smaller government and that it should be at the local level.
But, since Sarah seems to cause you to see red and lose and sense of reality – oh well.
[58]
Please Stop Making This Stupid Argument
[59]
Watch the video. She is complaining about the rate of growth. Yes, I know she throws in a couple of “smaller government” lines in there. I doubt seriously the woman has sat down and thought about how which departments to eliminate. She has not depth and it shows. Jindal you can see that he is a policy wonk and he probably knows what departments or reforms to entitlement that need to be made if we are EVER to reduce the size of government.
[60]
Actually, icy roads call for tire chains, or at least a burly set of snow tires.
I’ve heard of “up north people” using the same car all year round but investing in a good set of dedicated winter tires (narrow tire width and aggressive tread patterns) and wheels so they can go on at thanksgiving and come off on St patricks’ of easter….
True?
[61]
That race 4 2012 site is trash. Arrogant a-holes. Screw Alex, that bastard. Who does he want in 2012? Jeb or Crist, or Pawlenty. lol. what a joke.
You think we would lose badly with Palin in 2012? I guarantee we would lose with the castrati on that site.
Jeb Bush. lol.
[62]
Alaska backs Sotomayor
Has Sarah made any comments on this issue?
[63]
RWY
Noboy fears Palin. She still has not made it on ONE Sunday Talk show. She hasn’t gone on O’Reilly. She has no dept. It shows. Everyone can see and yet they refuse to admit and just keep pointing out that Obama this or that.
[64]
Yes, Gov. Sarah Palin’s Alaska is in Sotomayor’s camp on this one. And (mind the head snap) Barack Obama’s Justice Department is not, favoring overturning the Second Circuit ruling and returning the case to the district court for more fact-finding. (Alaska’s acting attorney general signed on to the brief in March while Palin was struggling to get her AG appointee confirmed.)
[65]
Chekote -
A week ago you were criticizing Palin because she was standing up to Letterman, which it turns out, was a smart move. Everyone (except you I am sure) seems to think she won. She got an apology, Letterman has lost and will continue to lose sponsors and his ratings are off. He’s also in a position where it’s difficult for him to attack her again.
Anyone who follows BJG knows you have an irrational hatred of Sarah Palin. Whatever she says and does, you’re going to criticize her for it. That’s a given.
Your rants about her being “unqualified” are never backed by any facts and you never discuss her record as governor.
If anyone should know what it takes to be a RINO, it’s you.
[66]
She still has not made it on ONE Sunday Talk show. She hasn’t gone on O’Reilly. She has no dept. It shows.
You are overstating the case enormously. I’ll grant she seems politically naive (not good) and may be too open to compromise with Dems a-la W.
[67]
PPP OH-GOV
Strickland 44%
Kasich 42%
How about Kasich? He knows the federal budget inside out. He was responsible for the balance budgets of the 90s. He can go on the Sunday talks shows and get beyond the “smaller government” canned lines
[68]
A week ago you were criticizing Palin because she was standing up to Letterman, which it turns out, was a smart move. Everyone (except you I am sure) seems to think she won.
an excellent point.
I would not worry too much about what Chekote has to say about Palin, she’s far too biased.
If Sarah stays quiet Chekote attacks her for not speaking out.
If she speaks out Chekote sides with her opponent.
bah.
[69]
How about Kasich? He knows the federal budget inside out.
If we could get him to back off amnesty, I think he would be a fine candidate. As far as I know…
[70]
Everyone (except you I am sure) seems to think she won.
OMG, Sarah got an apologize from a tasteless, no talent, comedian that nobody watched until the Palin bad joke. WooHoo! That’s White House material. Has Palin said anything about Sotomayor? How does she feel about her attorney general filing a brief supporting Sotomayors’ decision in the firemen case? I haven’t heard anything. In my book, A-Rod came out on top. He show the joke for what it was: tasteles. He saw the source: a bitter, untalented comedian. And acted accordingly.
[71]
Good Lord, can you give this up…???
What is it with you and Palin???
[72]
Palin cut her state’s budget by 7% this year and placed a freeze on hires except for safety employees. The state doesn’t seem to be suffering so apparently she has no difficulty knowing where to cut.
[73]
OMG, Sarah got an apologize from a tasteless, no talent, comedian that nobody watched until the Palin bad joke. WooHoo! That’s White House material. Has Palin said anything about Sotomayor? this is vintage Chekote insanity.
[74]
RWY
Have you forgotten about Palin saying that Caroline “You Know” Kennedy was qualified to be a Senator? How about when she went to the Republican Governors’ Association meeting and kept repeating how she wasn’t going to let excessive partisanship get in the way of getting things done? Do you think that the Republican’s problem was “excessive partisanship”? All these was said and done AFTER the election so BC can’t blame Mac for her actions.
[75]
2012 is an eternity away right now. Even 2010 seems to be so…but let’s start there. We must break the stranglehold the Dems have on power!
The Dems accused the Republicans of consolidating power, and wielding it ruthlesslessly. Of course they did neither, thru sloth or lack of actual intent.
But the Dems are NOT slothful on the subject of consolidating power, and wielding it ruthlesslessly. 2 years of it will be bad enough…4 years will spell permanent disaster.
So forget 2012. It would be nice if someone DID become a national Conservative voice…but 2010 needs to be the focus!
[76]
IF Sarah is not a threat, why the attacks?
Why waste time and resources on a non-threat?
If Sarah was so stupid why don’t her haters encourage her to speak instead of trying to shout her down?
You only attack that which poses a threat.
[77]
She does need a speech coach, though
Her delivery is disjointed, she emphasizes the wrong words at times, she’s often inarticulate and she tends to babble
In some ways verbally she reminds me of Bush
In that clip, for example, she should have just said, yes, I accept Letterman’s apology
She needs to get better, but I do see progress
[78]
JR
We need at least +30 in the House in 2010 or we be all blowed up
[79]
Palin cut her state’s budget by 7% this year
Were these real cuts or reductions in the rate of growth? And that’s another thing about the CNN video. Her legislators are threating to override her veto of stimulus funds. What does Sarah say to that? “More power to them.” She makes some reference to how wonderful our system is. If she REALLY wanted to reduce the amount of stimulus received by Alaska, she would have said. “Of course, they have the right to override my veto but that would be the wrong thing to do for Alaska” or something to that effect. Instead, she says “More power to them”. Check the video.
[80]
Exactly, GN
No one ran attack ads against Dennis Kucinich
In politics, axiomatically, you try to bring down the frontrunner
[81]
In some ways verbally she reminds me of Bush
That’s the real fear I have about Sarah Palin. Another Bush, who can’t articulate our positions for the great unwashed.
[82]
Sorry to the great unwashed. Tired.
[83]
You’re terrified she’ll change people’s minds on abortion
[84]
MFG – remember how they attacked Bobby Jindal after just one speech because of 1 poor performance.
Did that 1 speech show what he has done, what he believes or what his potential is? NO.
People to the left know that he is a threat and they need to stop him before he has a chance.
Noticw how the media and others within the GOP push Romney – why? Could it be for the same reason that they pushed McCain and Dole before him – keep real Conservatives away from the nomination.
[85]
IF Sarah is not a threat, why the attacks?
I attack her because I think she has a shot at the nomination and she will either lose big in the general election or be another Bush in the White House. The libs attack her because they think she is an idiot and dislike her. It has nothing to do with fearing her electoral prowness. She has indicated she might not run for re-election in Alaska. The last time I checked her polls were in the low fifties in Alaska even though she sends out people checks.
[86]
You’re terrified she’ll change people’s minds on abortion
You see how stupid you are. I don’t care if people choose not to have abortions as long as they have the legal choice to do so. If tomorrow I could wave a magic wand and make all abortions go away (without criminalizing it) I would gladly do it.
[87]
How about Kasich? He knows the federal budget inside out.
I used to love that guy. Now he’s a RINO. I couldn’t stand watching him during his TV stint. He felt that he had to bash Republicans in order to seem objective or to be loved by his media comrades.
She does need a speech coach, though
I’ve been saying that all along. I love her, but she needs to get coaching and learn how to do TV.
[88]
“You’re terrified she’ll change people’s minds on abortion.”
Chekote letting abortion color her views? Never. Next you’ll be accusing her of becoming totally “unglued” over issues like Christianity and the Catholic Church.
[89]
Please don’t compare Jindal to Palin. He has policy depth and it shows. She doesn’t and it shows.
[90]
I have to concede though that Bobby’s speech was awful
He’ll get better, though, it’s still hard for me to believe he’s only 37
By the way, I heard on the radio the other day (no link to give you unfortunately) that Bobby has said that he’s going to run for re-election as Governor in 2011 and will not run for President
He really loves the Governor’s job and will only run if Obama looks very, very vulnerable (in my opinion)
He’s so smart and he just LOVES talking policy, a real policy wonk and a very, very likable person
His wife Supriya is an absolute gem and will be a big help to him going forward whatever he does
[91]
Chekote, pardon my French:
Bullshit
Your diatribes against Palin are way over the top and almost Sullivanesque in their viciousness
[92]
BC
Kasich is pro-life. I think he is great. I have voted for my pro-life candidates than pro-choice candidates. Stop the canard and get your head out of Palin’s you know what. You remind me of Sullivan and Obama. Palin could come out tomorrow be pro-choice and you would switch your position just because you like her looks.
[93]
Your diatribes against Palin are way over the top and almost Sullivanesque in their viciousness
That’s how I speak. I have done the same regarding Obama, the Left regarding how they are handling Iran in the last few days. It is just that you guys don’t agree with me on Palin. I see Palin and I see another Bush. That’s the last thing we need.
[94]
MFG
Don’t you think that it would be wise for Palin to pick up a couple of white papers from AEI, Heritage regarding economic, fiscal issues, etc?
[95]
Chekote – Kasich leaes me luke warm.
I live in his district and have followed his career since his days in the Ohio Senate.
He scares me to a degree. He talks the talk but does not walk the talk. He reminds me more of a RINO every day.
[96]
I don’t support Palin
I think she needs more gravitas and needs work on her speaking style
I see some progress and think she’s getting better
Having said that, she has 10,000 times the charisma of Bobby Jindal and that can’t be underestimated, she brings out very passionate support which is what we’ll need next time
Another McCain type nominee in 2012 and I think the party will literally collapse
[97]
It’s a long time between now and 2012 and one of the keys is getting some more seats in 2010. Obama’s popularity will probably continue to fall. MSM will continue to prop him up (via things like this bogus poll).
There are a number of potential candidates shooting for 2012. Some aditional ones will try (e.g. Hunter and Brownbeck in 2008). Some will fall by the wayside (e.g. Ensign won’t be making any more trips to Iowa).
Lots of things will change between now and 2012 and I fear many will not be for the best.
[98]
MFG – who had the better political points and who had the better charisma between Hillary and “zero” – yet who won.
It is a long time to 2011 and anyone could surface by then.
[99]
My guess is that Mitt Romney will be the choice of the GOP establishment, the Country Club (business) set and MSM for 2012. The GOP brass figure he won’t rock the boat and MSM knows he’s meldable. Besides, like Dole in 1996 and McCain in 2008, it’s his turn.

she brings out very passionate support which is what we’ll need next time
She equally turns off a lot of people. I expect at least 30% of Republicans to defect. She has a tough time with the indies. She would be a disaster. If she manages to get elected, she will be another Bush. The SoCons loved Bush the moment he said that his favorite political philosopher was Jesus. And look the end result. A moribund conservative movement mired in idiotic religious issue like evolution.

I have a sinking feeling that Obama may be our greatest asset. I say sinking because of the condition the country may be in and the fact that we will be out of credit as well as cash.
MFG, Think of Obama as the Detroit Lions. It’s just as easy for the opposition to score on the Lions when the Lions have the ball as when the opposition is on offense. Any time the clock is running the Lions can be scored on.

No protests in Iran today. I think the mullahs will be able to crush the opposition. This idea that people can overthrown dictators by throwing stone is total BS.
[103]
can overthrow…. sheesh. Where is RWY? Did the heat and humidity get too much for him? He is not tough enough to live in Texas. So no RWY when we secede….hehehehehe

Once you get started, you just can’t drop it can you? You always say the same things. Here’s a hint: cut and past. It’s faster, easier and you won’t make the dumb mistakes you make when you fly into one of your rages. Also, for your own good, see your doctor next week. Maybe he/she can prescribe some new meds because the current one don’t seem to be doing much good.

And you need to buy some Maxim Magazine to fulfill your need for hot women. Maybe then you will be able to be objective about Palin. Go back to the CNN videos how she tells the legislators that want to override her stimulus veto “More power to them!”. Reminds me of Bush saying that it was great that people where in the streets protesting the Iraq War. What he should have said is “how can anyone who obstensibly supports human rights can protest the removal of a brutal dictator like Saddam”. She is another Bush.

Bad economic news from Indiana. Elkhart, RV capital of the world, no longer has the highest percentage of unemployed in Indiana. Howard County (Kokomo – heavy GM and Chrysler) now has that dubious distinction. We are vacationing with my sister-in-law’s family. They live just outside Elkhart. Things aren’t getting better in Elkhart. They’re getting worse in other places.

Hi Chekote!
Having fun? I dont know how you do this all day with a horse, dog and hubbie to care for.
You don’t know true conservatives….by that I mean Capitalists who also have moral values (essential in successful Capitalism). Your assertion that people wont vote for a true conservative is not proven by history….the last one that tried was Reagan.
It takes unabashed honesty to get thru the slime of today’s reality. It may be too late, but watered down psuedo compassionate pro choice pro homo positions will never win anything, well, unless you are a Democrat. But, cheerio, see you on the next thread or two.

You seem to have far more of a problem with Palin’s looks than I do. I read an interesting article written by a woman who stated that pro-choice feminists typically have problems with Palin in two areas (her personal pro-life stand – especially not aborting Trig – and her looks). Besides, I am not the one who goes into irrational rages whenever her name comes up. My comments are usually based on facts. Yours seldom, if ever, are.
If Palin came up with a cure for Cancer, you’d be complaining about its negative effect on doctors’ and pharmaceutical companies’ incomes. No matter what she does, you will find a way to criticize her. I am hardly the only one who has commented on your irrationality.
If you want to send me copies of Maxim, that’s fine. I doubt I’ve ever “read” one. Just PLEASE don’t personally bring them. Use the mail.

The fact that she had Trig is a big issue among pro-lifers. Pro-choicers really don’t give a sheet about it. She can have as many Down Syndrone children as she wants as far as I am concerned. She is the one who has to deal with the situation. Not me or anybody else. So why would they care?! You are a smart guy. Try using your brain and stop looking at her legs. She is married you know and coveting your neighbor’s wife is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. You bad boy.
[113]
…..I still think you are a woman.
Bizarre.
Why makes you think that?

You come across soft, kinda remind me of INC.

Gotta go!

I have a great deal of respect for a lot of women in the GOP, not just Sarah Palin. They are the ones taking the fight to the liberals – Michele Bachmann, Marsha Blackburn, Cathy McMorris, Mary Fallin to name a few. These women provide backbone to a party that needs it badly.
On the other hand, there’s Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins and Kay Barely Republican.
[118]
soft?
My wife will be amused by that one.
Don’t ever change Chekote.

An apt comparison if I might add.

KH,
Interesting piece. Not unexpected either, for in the radio biz they called that the early 50’s Payola Scandal.
