Obama Won’t Rule Out Middle Class Tax Hike

2009 June 30
by bc3b

Remember the good old days (like last fall) when 95% of Americans were going to get a tax reduction while The One was going to provide free pizza and beer for everyone? It’s not clear whether the maidens who spin gold and the hens that lay golden eggs are on strike or what, but it now appears that Zero may have been slightly wrong about that. Here’s Good Buddy and #1 Assistant (that’s French for stooge) David Axelrod stating the opposite may be true.

Here’s the circus clown who doubles as Press Secretary trying to explain it away.

What do you mean I can’t just keep drinking beer and the mug will automatically refill itself? I thought Zero is the Messiah

If He’s the Messiah, where’s my free beer and pizza (and we’re talking good pizza, not Little Caesar’s, Domino’s or Pizza Hut)?

    Damn

I thought The One wasn’t just going to teach me how to fish–he was going to give me a new fising rod.

However, a middle class tax hike would go well with –

“The tax oppression index is based on 18 representative criteria measuring fiscal attractiveness, public governance and financial privacy in the 30 member states of the OECD.

    1. Italy
    2. Turkey
    3. Poland
    4. Mexico
    5. Germany
    6. Netherlands
    7. Belgium
    8. Hungary
    9. France
    10. Greece
    11. United Kingdon
    12. United States”

In my mind we are headed for 15th or 16th very quickly. source

conservativetony, frankly I’m waiting for him to grill the fish up with a nice lemon sauce!

the laughter from the “Press Corps” when Gibbs try to sell this bullshit is priceless. Of course, the “PressCorps” will turn right around and sell the bullshit to their readers and listeners…minus the laughter!

Justrand, remeber during Clinton’s presidency Rush called Clinton’s spokesperson “Spear Taker”

Gibbs is doing nothing more than that at this point, and he’s not doing that very well. In fact, I think he’s damaged his career. Oh, sure he’ll be invited on CNN and MSNBC, but what does that pay?

Rasmussen —> Obama’s Approval Index rating back down to -2. Stocks are off today, as is Consumer Confidence. CA is going into the dumpster.

But, what continues to shock me the most is Obama siding with Chavez and Castro in backing Honduras’s leftist President, Zelaya, after he refused to “meddle” in Iranian politics.

    What is going on?

You bought it America. Now take it. Enjoy your Obama.

    No sympathy from me.

Now we go down that long and irreversible path to utter enervation, stultification, paralysis, emasculation, and decay.

If Obama wins in 2012, I suggest joining the winning team, folks. Why fight for a team tha

dr dog, was that a cartoon or a prophesy?

    little of both, I guess

on the serious side of this, the average American is going to get VERY angry when they are starving, cold and unable to get from place to place with government assistance. When that same average American sees the elite drive by in their SUVs, munching a snack as they are driven into their well-heated mansions we are going to find out just how much of an aberation 1917 Russia was.

I pray the average American wakes up lonnnnnnnnnng before that!

    H/T Hot Air comments:

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away people’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves.

JR, yeah the cartoon is a two headed coin.

Some news organizations are even quoting the findings in Spain that every ‘green shoots’ job costs 2.7 previous jobs plus $700k in subsidy.

    Chek,

    No doubt.

Sadly that is the bad side of ‘Behind every good man, there is a good woman…’. Sometimes you find that all there was is the woman. Kinda reminds me of BO in a way. ‘Behind everything BO says, is a teleprompter….’

This from over at HotAir –

Instead, the court scheduled a rare September hearing on whether the law itself raised constitutional questions and it said it would reexamine a 1990 decision that said restricting corporations from spending money from their general treasuries to support or oppose political candidates did not violate constitutional guarantees of free speech.

“This has the potential to be a blockbuster,” said Michael E. Toner, a former chairman of the Federal Election Commission. He said the issues have implications for “the whole architecture of the federal campaign financing system.”

We can only hope that BCRA is struck down…

I wasn’t too thrilled with Jenny’s initial statement. However, I did greatly admired the fact that she DID NOT stand by him during the news conference. But with each time Sanford opened his mouth, my view of him deteriorated. He is an idiot.

    JustRand

There are no leaders in the GOP. Boehner did a great job on cap and trade but I can’t think of anyone else. Romney is a no go for me.

“There are no leaders in the GOP”

You just noticed this, maybe we should be thankful there are none at the moment least they fawn over barry and lead in the wrong direction.
