UPDATE: FBI Task Force Had Been Investigating Recruiting Killer

Here’s the latest update from Yahoo News.

Sunday we in the pro-life movement faced a major setback as George Tiller was murdered. MSM and the left had great ammunition to brand us as fanatics and murders.

The advantage was short-lived, however, as two members of the U.S. Military were gunned down outside a military recruiting office in Little Rock,  AR.  First it was discovered that he is a convert to Islam and then we discovered that he has been to Yemen recently. Not exactly good news for the MSM and the left.

Even though Mohammud appears to have more “legs” than Tiller’s killer, I’m willing to bet that the Tiller story will have far greater shelf life with MSM and other groups (but not with bigoted, far-right racists like me).

Roeder targeted Tiller and Tiller only. Apparantly, he killed him because of Tiller’s actions alone–late term abortions. Also, he killed the person that arguably was a ‘leader’ in this field–not somebody who happened to work in the same clinic as Tiller.

Mohammud apparantly targeted somebody in a military uniform or maybe he targeted the color of skin beneath the uniform. Nevertheless, he targeted a whole group of people. It means he wasn’t finished because the victims were two of many potential future victims–A hate crime.

BAKU: Two Lebanese and four Azerbaijanis have gone on trial on terrorism charges in Baku for planning an attack on the Israeli Embassy in Azerbaijan’s capital, an official said Monday.

The trial, which began on May 27, is being held behind closed doors and has been adjourned until June 10, a spokesman for Azerbaijan’s serious crimes court told AFP on condition of anonymity.

“According to the indictment, the citizens of Lebanon … arrived in Azerbaijan under orders to commit acts of terrorism,” the spokesman said.

He said they were “connected to” the Lebanese Shiite resistance group Hizbullah and the Sunni Al-Qaeda network.

The two Lebanese were under orders to recruit Azerbaijani citizens and devise a plan to attack the Israeli and US embassies, as well as the strategic Gabala missile-detection radar station in the north of the country, he said.

He added that the suspects were also believed to have connections with Iran’s powerful ideological army the Revolutionary Guards.

“They arrived in Azerbaijan through Iran and were assisted in crossing the border by the Sepah,” he said, using the Persian name for the Revolutionary Guards.

The two Lebanese men are identified in the indictment as Ali Karaki and Ali Najmeddin.

Conservatives 4 Palin has some interesting things up. This is their comment an item in the London Telegraph:

Presenting Mrs Palin as “the joint front runner for the 2012 Republican nomination” he described her statement as “politically astute and fair-minded” – probably the first time he has treated her with a modicum of respect. He also highlighted the different treatment by the media of both incidents. Tiller’s murder, he said, was “a global news story” whereas the soldier’s murder was “less-noticed”

Harnden then gave a master class in how to savage someone in an understated way

President Barack Obama issued a statement on the Tiller murder but the slaying of Private Long did not prompt any public comment from his commander-in-chief.
