Palin Hints at Independent Conservative Movement

2009 July 11

Watch it you GOP wusses; this girl fights like a man.  From Tammy Bruce.

Conservatives challenging Republicans … who would have ever thought?  Sarah, I’m sorry, but you just don’t understand. There’s a caste system in the GOP. The more moderate (liberal) and elitist one is, the more influence he/she should have. And, you are from the lower caste. You haven’t been listening to David Frum and Peggy Noonan again have you? After all,  they’re your betters. Frum has an Ivy League degree and Noonan pretends she does. Now, you’re gonna ruin everything … maybe for good!

Here’s Palin’s Washington Times interview.

A fight between Sarah Palin and Kevin Madden would last until Kevin broke a nail. Hey, some people (like Kevin) are just too pretty to fight.

I read Noonan’s latest column. As late as 2007 I was lauding her for going against W on amnesty.

    Now, she is awful, unreadable.

BC, I think what Palin said was just political speak. What she said was, “I will back Conservatives and if some of you Republicans want be Liberals, fine with me. I will find ‘other’ Conservatives, wherever they may be and campaign for them.”

I think this was good play on her part. Possibly, it gets Conservative Democrats on her side, who won’t take it lightly if she’s attacked.

Noonen refers to Palin having “rhetorical jabberwocky”, which is exactly what I think is wrong with Peggy’s writing. Plastic Banana flim-flam in addition to the rhetorical jabberwocky about houses falling down…..

That is what scares the Democrats & RINOS. They know she appeals to Conservatives regardless of party affiliation. Sarah is one who stands on principles regardless the cost. She has become aware that there are as many enemies within the GOP as well as outside it.

The GOP is more concerned about power than principle.

As Rasmussen said yesterday, “There are more Conservatives than there are Republicans. And the Republicans need the Conservatives.” Sarah can use this to build a new party. For we conservatives don’t need the GOP but the GOP needs us Conservatives.

    Dear Leader Obama’s songbun system:

The population of Dear Leader Barack Obama’s developing Democratic People’s Republic of America can be roughly divided into three tiers, and ones place in these tiers is called songbun (based on North Korea’s songun system). An individuals songbun is based on ones position at the time of Obama’s ascendancy from questionable circumstances of birth to presidential occupation. Kenyan Obama himself, his Klingon wife and party members, largely comprised of the capos of Rahm, Axelrod, Reid, Pelosi and Kennedy and their sub-capos, are the main elite. People who helped to bankrupt the nation while lining their own pockets are at the next level in the songbun hierarchy and often have high committee positions in congress or are appointed to cabinet and czar positions and other high offices. The lowest songbun group is comprised of an as yet to be determined number of distinct classes, each with lower songbun then the next. Useful idiots like David Frum and Peggy Noonan are at the top of this lowest songbun level while conservative talk show hosts and bloggers and people who still believe in Ayn Rand’s philosophy of individual rights, such as the BeJohnGalt web site, or in the soon to be outdated U.S. Constitution have the lowest songbun, and consequentially occupy a role analogous to India’s untouchables.

I was musing today about what it is that I believe Palin TRULY brings to the mix right now. Here goes…

Sarah Palin brings something sorely lacking in American politics for a VERY long time: The Common Touch! We’re getting tired of snake-oil salesmen, with words and phrases intentionally designed to SOUND high-minded and high-valued, but really just verbal cotton candy!

By the time 2012 rolls around we will have had 20 consecutive years of Harvard graduates in the White House. Elites. From Billie Boy to “W” to “The One”…all “Elites”. Americans are eager to have someone that really DOES share experience with them. None of those three does!

And she conveys real interest and genuine passion…versus trumped up passion that stops and starts depending upon the proximity of the media. People respond to that. People ARE responding to that!

So if Sarah does NOTHING over the next 18 months other than WAKE UP the “common folk” who still comprise the bulk of this country, and SHAKE UP the “elites”…she will have done us all a huge service!

I believe she will do AT LEAST that!

    (1) Sarah Palin energizes Americans, and help break the Democrat hold on the House and Senate in 2010. She rides that success to the Presidency in 2012. America enter a new era of strength and prosperity.

    (2) Sarah Palin falls flat on her political face. Americans are disheartened, and stay home in droves in 2010 allowing the Democrats to EXPAND their hold on power. in 2012 Obama is swept into a 2nd Term, and completes his strenglehold on power by replacing the entire Supreme Court by 2016 with rabidly Liberal hacks. Those Supreme Court hacks accede to his announcement that he is President for life…America enters in civil war!

    Repeating it is pointless!

    So stop repeating it.

    Post on other topics.

chekote…find POSITIVE things to say about anyone you like, and give us reason to support them. But the constant DRONE against someone fighting on OUR SIDE is worse than counter-productive.

Rudy is NOT a “perfect” Conservative…far from it. But I welcome him fighting on our side…and will try to focus on the POSITIVE things he can do for us. Likewise Romney and Huckabee.

Yes, I say negative things about our ENEMIES (Obama, Pelosi, Reid, etc)…because they ARE our enemies.

Even if you are CORRECT that Palin is not as GOOD as she could be, and should have “hit the books” more…she is still NOT our enemy!

You treat her like the enemy because you hate her for some unknown reason.

    clear enough?

Nobody wants to see a civil war. BTW, it is interesting that you bring this up. This is from the Noonan piece:

Here are a few examples of what we may face in the next 10 years: a profound and prolonged American crash, with the admission of bankruptcy and the spread of deep social unrest; one or more American cities getting hit with weapons of mass destruction from an unknown source; faint glimmers of actual secessionist movements as Americans for various reasons and in various areas decide the burdens and assumptions of the federal government are no longer attractive or legitimate.

I never thought I would read something like that in the WSJ.

chek, I’m not going to ban you as long as you follow the very simple rules I outlines above…but re-stated here:

Find POSITIVE things to say about people that can conceiveably HELP US! We don’t need a “circular firing squad”!

Liz Cheney, Rudy, Romney…anyone who can help.

But tearing down those on our side just distracts us…and we haven’t got the time!

Rush won’t make a stink about Palin’s comment. He’ll spend most of the day explaining why she had to move on and why it was in her, the Republican party, and this country’s best interest.

He will have nothing but praise for her. Count on it.

let’s all try to get along…eh? we’re at least kinda sorta on the same side, which doesn’t mean we gotta love each other…but does mean there’re others more deserving of our anger! 🙂

When Hitler invaded Russia, Winston Churchill made consiliatory remarks about Stalin…whom he DESPISED and had excoriated in the past! When asked how he could say nice things about Stalin all of a sudden Churchill replied:
If Hitler invaded hell I would make at least a favorable reference to the devil in the House of Commons.

We have CLEAR enemies. Let’s fight THEM!

chekote, you do not keep a “sense of humor” about Palin…ever. the vitriol is obvious and never does one thing to advance the conversation.

This site is NOT the “Palin Fan Club, chapter 1369”, but neither is it the “Palin Must Be Hounded From Polite Society Club” either.

I am will to discuss, by you or others, real things about her that can make a difference in taking back this country. If those are flaws, then offer suggestions for how they can be worked to our advantage…or minimized. Those opinions have a potential POSITIVE effect, which I won’t elaborate on here and now. HARPING on a negatives only provides FUEL and AMMO to those who destroy this country, and have a potential NEGATIVE effect, which I won’t elaborate on here and now either.

Chekote, I explained all this clearly to you and others last night. I’m tired of explaining it. You’re not a stupid woman, you get it. Palin CAN help, if the flaws which she DOES have are not highlighted to the exclusion of the strengths she DOES bring! We need her voice strengthened, not de-valued. Leave your hatred for her at the door…and advance the conversation, or take your hatred for her to one of the myriad sites devoted to that very topic!
