Zogby: 53% Disapprove of Obama Performance; New Daily Rasmussen Low

2009 July 25
by bc3b

The good news doesn’t stop today!

This is the second poll today that gives Obama a negative approval rating. Zogby is actually worse than Rasmussen - 53% disapprove/47% approve.

In addition, in today’s Rasmussen Daily Preisdential Tracking Poll, Obama hit a new low of -9 as 30% strongly approve while 39% strongly disapprove, Overall, the total remained at 51% disapproval/49% approval.

It’s amazing how little media coverage Obama’s plunge into negative territory has generated.

Right now there are probably joint MSM meetings in New York and Washington, DC to discuss ways the media can make Obama look good and conservatives look bad.

(apologies, but due to a new AP policy regarding fair use, management has requested no AP sourced photos be posted.)

How’s that tingle today Chrissy? If this lunatic’s job is to “make Obama look good,” it appears Hairball has failed again.

His race-baiting is going to kill his favorable personality ratings and then people are going to start tying his policies to him.

(A mean and divisive personality + radical leftist ideas + disastrous policies that harm the economy + government overreach) x exponential explosion caused by release of budget numbers =

    Sink like a stone.

INC , according to Beck yesterday, Obama’s approval ratings among blacks remain at 97%.

    This is astonishing, and alarming.

The great whirlwind from the Great White North, the Sarah Palin express, is about to descend on the lower 48 and destroy every socialist and socialist idea in its path including sending Obama’s poll numbers further into the dumper.

Obama and Pelosi are really pushing to get a vote on ObamaCare before the break because they realize it will be much more difficult for Congress to pass it after members hear from voters.

They are pushing three prices of legislation that are unpopular:
    1. ObamaCare
    2. Cap and Trade
    3. Amnesty

The “Presser” may have been the turning point in Obama’s presidency. He not only did a poor job of presenting his health care plans, he also opened Pandora’s Box with the Gates response to a question many believe the administration “planted.”

This is such a selfish presidency. Who cares about what the people want…it is all about me and my agenda…I mean…it’s not about me. Listen to me say it’s not about me…..pay no attention to the fact that no one wants it but me.

    Terrific diary from RedState:

Checkmate in 8 moves – Why Obama’s Healthcare Bill is Dead

When playing chess, there often comes a time toward the end of the game when the outcome is preordained, even though the final moves have yet to be made. The positions of the pieces, and the relative strengths between the two sides are such that no combination of moves can prevent one of the players from winning the game. When both of the players are very experienced, the player in the winning position will often say “Mate in X moves”. This is a signal to the losing player to examine the board and see that the other player does indeed have a path to checkmate that cannot be blocked. Usually, the losing player will then “tip the King” to surrender the game, saving everyone time.

When players are of unequal experience, this often becomes a teaching exercise. The more experienced player will declare that checkmate is imminent, but the losing player doesn’t see how that is possible. The game then continues, with the loser learning a valuable lesson about end game strategies.

He then goes on to outline the events. Great analysis.

No Palin thread, but here aew her comments at a picnic attended by 5,000 Alaskans yesterday:

She told the hundreds gathered in a military “Honor Garden” that she wanted to “do something… more worthy than speaking politics” before sharing a story about a reporter who had asked her about how she handles difficult days.

“I said, ‘Oh no,’ it is not a down day – my son called this week from Iraq,” Palin recalled, referring to her son, Track, an Army enlistee. “He is safe, he is sound. It is always a good day when my son calls.”

Interrupting the applause, Palin said: “I wish that some in the media would keep things like that in perspective, what is really important in our country. And what is important is our freedoms, America’s security, our liberty.”

Later, citing military families that have lost loved ones, she again drew loud applause by saying: “Let us continue to love our country, be proud of our country, never apologize for our country.”

There are a lot of things the public has given Obama a pass on: the apology tours, the lack of transparency, etc. Now that he is into negative territory, the public may not be so forgiving.

The Obama luster has worn thin. It is truly a shame it took 7 months for the population to see through this man. Had his poll numbers fallen to this level 3-4 months ago, we may have been able to see some jobs coming back by now.

I gotta say that ole Slick Willie called BO for what he is months ago during the campaign. A fairy tale.

David Axelod, along with a sycophantic media, basically manufactured the guy. We had hardly heard a word about him until about a year and a half ago for a reason.

The Rasmussen Poll this morning shows 53% still blame Bush for the economy. But according to the following post, such blame will end or be curtailed in 2010. The current stock market surge, in some folk’s mind (including my own suspicious mind), is bogus –> a “sucker’s rally.”

We are starting to look very overbought here, though. And a peak soon would fit into my long-held scenario of a crushing collapse into 2010, a third wave down that sweeps all before it, and leaves the economy in a Democrat and Obama-destroying pile of rubble. Because it’s their market, and their economy now. The “Bush did it” horseshit will not work this time around

This is an “older” HotAir posting, but I thought it aptly put the whole Gates-versus-the-Cambridge-police-officer affair in it’s proper place.

Henry Louis Gates stereotyped Sgt. Crowley. He formed an opinion about Sgt. Crowley based on evidence that was far too limited to justify the conclusion. He formed that opinion based on prejudices he had collected over the course of his life about the group to which Sgt. Crowley belonged. That opinion — that Sgt. Crowley was a racist who needed to be educated about racial profiling — turned out to be wrong.

The officer didn’t stereotype Henry Louis Gates — Henry Louis Gates stereotyped the officer Patterico’s Pontifications

INC – nice picture of Sarah (the book).

“zero” is going to blame Bush, much like FDR blamed on Hoover.

The problem today is that we live in a microwave age. People want it NOW. They are not willing to wait. Back in the 1930’s people lived in a completely different age where people were patient and willing to wait.

This is a completely different age. “zero” is getting more and more credit (blame) for the economy. As it gets worse and the longer it lasts, the more “zero” and the Democrats will get credit for it.

Zogby is trying to be different while still toeing the Democrat line. I’m not saying he doesn’t want to his polls to be accurate. . . .

Interactive polls are probably harder to guage for accuracy because it is difficult to determine exactly who is signing up for them.
