Palin Has 1,070+ Speaking Invitations

2009 August 31
by bc3b

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin this week will begin accepting and rejecting the more than 1,070 invitations she has received for paid speeches and political appearances since she resigned from office, aides said.

Twenty speakers’ bureaus made offers to represent her. She has signed with Washington Speakers Bureau, which represents everyone from George and Laura Bush to Bob Woodward and Katie Couric to Alan Greenspan, Colin Powell and Rudy Giuliani.

More than 950 requests for speeches have poured in for Palin, and over 120 candidates for office have asked her to appear, including folks running for Senate, House and state Legislature, aides said.

Palin will be doing both paid speeches, which are expected to go for six figures apiece, and unpaid speeches for political and charitable causes, including Christian organizations, groups that support families with special-needs children and military families.

Palin has made no commitments so far, and Washington Speakers Bureau will start responding to the invitations this week.

In addition she is acout 85% done with her book, according to Politico. Google claims the former Alaska governor will visit Hong Kong to address the CLSA Investors Forum, a well-known annual conference of global investment managers, the host announced Monday. Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Alan Greenspan have spoken at the event,

Hat tip: Politico and Google News.

Not bad for a washed-up old hag whose political career the Democrats, media and RINOs claim is over.

Hopefully her people/their people can get their bookings straight so that it doesn’t keep looking like she is a flake. If she is not booked for something, it is unfair to call her a no show. If she is booked and no one tells her, etc….

Lets don’t over play it. Jimmy Carter still gets paid speaking engagements to this day. But I am glad she is in demand.

    Good point JM.

It’s impressive how Palin’s “dance card” is stacking up. It’s seems as if she is quietly retooling her public image, and is trying to be more in control of the events around her, rather than the other way around (like it was when she was running for office with McCain).

Also, if she is 85% done with her book, one can’t say Palin has just been sitting around doing twitter or facebook jottings.

NEWSWEEK’S ELEANOR CLIFT WRONG: HYDE AMDT DOESN’T STOP ABORTION FUNDING IN HEALTH CARE
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — In the latest example of the mainstream medical covering up what pro-life advocates already know and some media outlets have admitted, Newsweek’s Eleanor Clift maintains that the Hyde amendment would stop abortion funding in health care. But a pro-life expert says that’s not the case.

MORE POLITICAL ANALYSTS PREDICT PRO-LIFE GAINS IN CONGRESS IN 2010 ELECTONS
Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — Advancing a pro-abortion health care bill that could lead to rationing medical care and having a pro-abortion president who is making taxpayers fund abortions appears to come at a cost for the abortion advocates who lead Congress. More political analysts are predicting pro-life gains after the 2010 elections.

Lots of news blurbs today indicating that the powers-that-be in Mass. are going to meet in early Sept. to discuss changing the law to put an interim Senator in for Kennedy (cough, cough —> his widow, Vicki, I bet).

This reminds me of the Lautenberg Maneuver, years ago. It’s amazing how the dims continue to change the rules to enhance their political position. This time it’s to punch HC thru with 60 votes.

jan, the seat was always going to be Dem anyways. It is outrageous that they can flout the normal process, but who knows? There is not a lot known about this woman, and she may not turn out to be the reliable raging lib they expect. If she does, no great loss.

When that Senate seat goes Republican, we’ll know that the conservative revolution has been completed.

Not to be too harsh on my sex — but I believe that Che was a woman… she had too many issues with men who are not emasculated metro sexuals, and could be very emotional and illogical in structuring her arguments. Her arguments were all about feelings and not logic or reason — which also meant she was a liberal. Most of us conservative females are able to balance our natural empathic natures with cold hard facts. As a result, if you conducted a Meyers-Briggs test on 100 women, I bet those the conservative women would either be moderate Ts/Fs (Thinking/Feeling) while liberal women are usually solid Fs and no T traits/points at all.

Apparently Chekote decided she had enough fights with everyone at BJG and moved on. I’m sure Yahoo is crushed because they really had a thing going and, by her own admission, Chekote is hotter than Sraah.

She was active for a brief while at hotair.com. She started attacking Palin a few weeks back and really, really took a pounding. Everyone was piling on.

Apparently she is splitting her time between the hedgehog report and David Frum’s new minority. She fits in perfectly at new minority, where most everyone is a liberal or a RINO.

I also believe Chekote was a woman. Stated so many times and I never really saw reason to question it. When she first showed up on PP she was a rabid Giuliani supporter — supporting him because he was pro-abortion and had Italian heritage. If Chekote is not a chick then he is a gay man who assumes the traditional female role. She was far to jealous/envious of the other females who post here and over at PP and spent too much time playing coy with the males whenever someone would bash her about the head and shoulders. But then again, it was so exaggerated at times that I thought she/he had to be a putting on an act by thinking that playing a helpless was the way a woman behaved. I don’t know any women under the age of 60 who act the way she/he did. (think Scarlet O’Hara warming up to Frank Kennedy, Ashley Wilkes, or Rhett Butler to get something she wants.) ummm.. maybe Eph has a point. Chekote is a total fraud — and a really bad actor.

    Chekote is a woman.

She is also fundamentally dishonest and selfish to the point of being emotionally disturbed. She had no conscience at all.

She could look at an aborted fetus and pass it off, but she coddled little orphaned bunnies found around the house. She was a feminist in the worst sense.

It’s about time we broomed her. She was no longer contributing anything to the debate.
