Ace: “Baaaaa…..Baaaaaa”

Sorry about the fratricide. For a fellow who has this (From Mencken) headlining his site:….“Every normal man must at times be tempted to spit upon his hands, hoist the Black Flag, and start slitting throats” , (Not today, eh, Acey?) he sure is walking softly and carrying a big happy rainbow.

I don’t buy any of it. The sign carriers are not shouting, they are not frothing, they are stating a fact, (that if you don’t have the courage to state openly now, you probably never will), and that is that Barack Obama is not merely “fascist leaning”; he’s a bloody fascist lock stock and barrel, and that’s a nice, quiet, dead-calm fact (to us who hold that opinion), not a sweaty-faced slogan. The “cite list” is as long as my arm and he’s only been in 8 months. Anyone who knows the history of the left knows that all the “isms” are just variations on the collective theme, and while poor countries go communist, (Noko, China, Russia) rich ones go fascist (Germany, Japan, Italy), and there’s not much difference in the end anyway. Obama is not a tyrant yet, but he is working overtime on cracking the support columns of our Republic in the name of Chavista-style “democracy”. (My 51% can do anything we want to your 49%)

If an idiot takes out the POTUS, it’s on him, not on the sign carriers. We are still supposed to be a country of grown-ups, yeah? Hey Ace, why not hate on those who burned/hung King George III in effigy some, while you’re at it? After all, look at all those people they got killed! Tens of thousands!

Whatsamatta Acey dear, ya waitin’ for O to put on the uniform and epaulettes or something? Can’t pull the trigger on the label until then?

And note the classy porn references as well. A real home run.

Question for the Galters:

1) Is “the One” a fascist?

2) Should we say it?

3) Does it help us win elections when we do? (Say it calmly and matter-of-fact, that is. Not a-la froth, not screaming red-faced while falling over backward…)

I say yes to all three, because you can draw the historical parallels clearly and factually, and people whose eyes are not shut can see them.

Please vote. I won’t yell at dissenters. It’s patriotic, after all, no?

I don’t think Obama is in danger of assassination at all. I don’t think a civil war is going to start.

It may, but I think Americans will patiently wait long past the legitimate “go time”, knowing how horrible it would be.

They will wait, IMO, until there is literally nothing left to lose. And although there are some very alarming things, going on now, we are not there yet.

He is not in danger of assassination, and why? Because the right knows for a fact the damage it would do to our legitimate concerns. Impeachment yes, that I do see coming his way, or a lame duck last couple years of his one term.

If it were true that any president were a fascist, then… well, democratic society is dead, isn’t it? We live in a tyranny. The normal respect we give to civil, civic means of political jockeying is dead and buried. Not only are we freed from the usual moral and legal restraints against political violence, but… well, we might say we’re morally obligated to commit political violence, no?

Now, I doubt that many people carrying “FASCIST” signs think this way. Some, but not many. Most are just using it as an empty slogan, the same as many on the left did just one short year ago. But that’s the thing, then, isn’t it? If you know it’s not true, why are you carrying the sign? Honesty and straight-dealing are conservative values, too.

And if you know it’s not true, why are you even taking a chance that you might encourage some desperate loser with a gun who does believe the sign?

This is a 15 foot tall straw man. A straw Giant.

Yes, by our Declaration of Independence, we are obligated to resist. (“…it is their right, it is their duty, the throw off such government,..”)

But that resistance need not be violent, Ace. It can be, when violence is brought to us, and maybe them many of us will die, who knows. Right now, we are in the “beg the King” phase, the rattles on the snake are beginning to sound, but the “strike at the heel” is not yet.

We are not using it as an empty slogan. What’s the point of that? I would not say Obama was a Fascist, unless I believed it.

I don’t even say he’s a real Fascist, because I don’t think he cares about the details of Fascism enough to try to implement them.

    I say he is a would-be dictator.

But Fascist, IMO, is the label that fits best, due the the circumstances we find America in economically and fiscally at this time. We have a well developed but depressed industry, the same for finance, education and all the rest. So for a dictator to come in and co-opt these institutions, the term Fascism fit best. IMO.

If we were an agrarian, poor country, I’d say Communist. It doesn’t really matter, because they are both corrupt police states.

And that is what Obama is after, IMO.

But we are resisting, Ace, you moron. We are just not shooting.

And the “Why are you chancing encouraging a desperate loser with a gun?” part is flat out pablum in my book.

In America, people are responsible for what they do. You can’t blame porn for rape, and you can’t blame a political argument for a hypothetical assassination attempt.

I think Ace is an idiot.

Well, I doubt that, but he sure has a case of the shakes. Wonder what happened.

I mean he’s got “slitting throats” right up there on his home page, and now he’s saying “you can’t call O a fascist”.

Why not? I bloody well can, and although I don’t often, I do refer to him as “the communist”, and I think that his history bears this label.

You want to blame me if you nullify an election and people go nuts? Go ahead and blame me. Shoot me, I don’t care. I will die knowing I told the truth.

Obama is nothing but a tin-pot, shabby, liar and would be dictator. That’s what I think and I’m not afraid to say it.

Anyone is welcome to disagree. I think I can win on the facts.

Too many on the right can speak boldly BUT don’t have the stones when it really comes to it.

I don’t know if ‘zero’ is a fascist but I do know he is a thug. A fascist does have the stones to do some nasty things but ‘zero’ doesn’t. Does he want to – hell yeah. Will he – I think so eventually. But a true fascist makes no bones about it and goes for the gold.

As I said before, too many on the right don’t have it in them to call a spade a spade. Look at the Republicans – pillars of strength (sarcasm). Look at many of our pundits (not any at BJG) who are afraid they might be called racists for offending ‘zero’ or calling him a name. The left can call Bush Hitler, the Anti-Christ, etc and it is ok. We call ‘zero’ anything less than great and we are racists.

Look no further than California and the water situation. The people and the sheriff should just go down there and open the irrigation ditches. Tell the state and feds to go pound sand. Tell them if they are going to come to bring body bags because they are going to need them.

    More Ace:

You know, I wrote this post about two words — Fascist, tyranny. Nazi too I guess.

This is not about ALL strident language. I endorse death panels, for example.

But those two words? They do suggest 1, you’re lying, 2, violence is the only answer.

And in most people’s estimation — we did not become a fascist state in the past several months.

so why the hell are you going to insist on you right to persuade someone of something that is demonstrably false?

    A couple things.

We are not lying, and nobody has said violence is the only answer. We are not there yet, may not be for awhile, who knows.

It is the left that must do away with the trappings of our constitution first, and come after us physically. In time, if we do not get them out via elections, they will do this.

This is a straw man, totally dishonest.

Nobody said we “ARE” a fascist state. Some have said we are heading in that direction, and I agree.

It’s not demonstrably false at all, Geez what a d-bag Ace is.

    Banks
    New rules for finance
Government taking over 90% of all mortgages
    Healthcare
    Cass Sunstien
    Mark Lloyd
    Van Jones
oh, and now the feds will run all student loans: ALL OF THEM.

Ace, you dolt. Do you think Obama is opposed to this?

    1) Is “the One” a fascist?

Today? No. However, I can see “the One” becoming a fascist by deluding himself that such a move would be needed for him to “save this country”. I say this because I don’t think Obama has the temperament or self restraint to understand the true consequences of a complete seizure of political and corporate power.

    2) Should we say it?

Well, I think it is fair to point out how socialist movements that began in the 19th and early 20th century in Europe concentrated power and set the stage for fascism to arise in the 1930’s. Thus, history teaches us to be very weary of the precursors to fascism — many of which we now see happening around us.

To more directly answer your question: No. America is not yet a fascist state so it would be unfair to state that it is. However, it is fair to warn about fascist tendencies we observe.

    3) Does it help us win elections when we do?

Probably not. Like it our not, it’s the mushy middle that ultimately decides elections in this country and they are not knowledgeable about American history let alone European history to understand or appreciate such warnings. For now, it’s best to stick to the meat and potatoes issues that the mushy middle does respond to.

    Fine post, rwy.

I agree with the general sentiment here. He is more of a cheap thug hustler than a full-blown fascist, but we are still early in the game.

If you add up what has happened thus far, the trend is not good. And when you also consider the people in his immediate circle, it is even less good. They are the worst of the worst, poisonous bottom-feeders that have been biding their time for their chance.

I think it is 50-50 that the nation redlines and solves its problems through ‘politics by other means’.

I also think it is quite possible that external events will influence what happens. You can be sure that a serious terrorist event, which grows every more likely, will be used as a crisis pretext by the Left to seize utter and complete power.

    Be afraid. And be ready.
