Figures Don’t Lie; Liars (like CNN) Figure

A CNN/Opinion Research poll suggests a 14% swing in favor in ObamaCare among those watching the President;s address last night.  When you look at the breakdown of those polled:

  • 45% were Democrats
  • 37% were Independents
  • 18% were Republicans

And CNN claims to be “The Most Trusted Name in News?”

Think I could make a case that the Detroit Tigers are the most popular team in Major League Baseball based on some polling around my Clawson, Michigan office? Clawson is six miles north of the Detroit city limits. Notice I didn’t say Lions.

It appears Barack Obama wasn’t the only one telling lies last night.

    18% Republicans…..they aren’t even trying anymore. Not that they really ever did…..but c’mon. 18?

    I loved Scott Ott’s comment:

The 14-point spike in approval for the Obama health plan among those who watched his speech, according to CNN, reminded me of this Proverb:
“The one who states his case first seems right, until the other comes and examines him.” — Prov. 18:17

My guess is that people watching Obama’s address are much more likely to be converted than those who did not.

Any idea on the number of viewers “The One” had last night?

I’d be surprised if it moves the numbers at all, since there was nothing new in the speech. It was the same old thing that he has spouted umpteen times before. Those who are drinking the kool-aid will still be on board, those who are skeptical would not have been convinced.

In fact, because he went with the hard-left arrogance, if anything it probably turned some people off. Evidently that narcissistic speech was primarily designed to make the marxist feel better about himself.

I’d expect the numbers to continue to drop on this turkey.

The 14% jump that CNN is touting is the 14% increase in lefty Dems that they added to the sample at the expense of Republicans.

“Evidently that narcissistic speech was primarily designed to make the marxist feel better about himself. ”

Sure came off that way to me.

GOP leadership apparently asked Joe Wilson to apologize, just great, seem they want to snatch defeat here again, but we knew that already I guess.

    This is a laughable poll.

If you’re going to distort something at least do it with subtle class.

Soooooooo, if CNN says a 14 point jump for Obamacare with a D+29 sample I think we can assume that using, say D+4, that Obama bombed last night.
