I was actually pleasantly surprised that McCain picked Palin. She had been my 1st choice for some time. But, as I look back on it now, I think McCain picked her more as a “trophy” VP than as a running mate who would stand equally on the podium with him, consulting and blending their ideologies and strategies.

Happy b-day Tina. Thanks to all the HHR people who welcomed me in here, especially since I haven’t been posting over there very long. I actually found HHR one day searching for polling data. But I think this is a little closer to my taste, which is not constant arguing but rather learning from debate. I totally support Sarah Palin, and in response to people who bring up her Couric interview…I always wonder how much of that was true Palin and how much was her reining it in to cover for McCain, the fence walker (I mean maverick)? Imainge if she was the lead dog! Of course, I would never say that on HHR because it would be an 800 word thread. Also a big fan of Booby Jindal and I can’t decide who deserves the Pulitzer Prize more, Glen beck or Michelle Malkin.
I am married to a retired Marine (today is our anniversary in fact) and VERY conservative. Just thought I would state my opinions right out the gate here, since I got accused of going along with the crowd earlier.
