Obama Administration: Cap & Trade Could Cost Families $1,761 a Year
The Obama administration has privately concluded that a cap and trade law would cost American taxpayers up to $200 billion a year, the equivalent of hiking personal income taxes by about 15 percent.A previously unreleased analysis prepared by the U.S. Department of Treasury says the total in new taxes would be between $100 billion to $200 billion a year. At the upper end of the administration’s estimate, the cost per American household would be an extra $1,761 a year.
A second memorandum, which was prepared for Obama’s transition team after the November election, says this about climate change policies: “Economic costs will likely be on the order of 1 percent of GDP, making them equal in scale to all existing environmental regulation.”

Don’t expect Katie Couric to be reporting this tonight. In fact, the author is probably being fired right now.

“This president really does want to be a one-termer.”
Yes, but in that one term he plans to screw up more things than every President (combined) since Carter in a single term.
[6]
screw-ups:
stimulus plan – saved (not created) a million jobs, at $787,000 per job.
omnibus bill – more pork and earmarks, promised no earmarks.
health care – mandates, higher costs, lower quality, free abortions, rationing, death panels.
cap and trade – increased energy costs, crappy little cars, windmills chopping up birds.
war strategy – less troops, more fatalities, gitmo prisoners on the loose.
racism – more divided than ever.
date nights – $12 grand to go to NY while most Americans eat rice and beans.
Fred, why didn’t you run?

Yeah, too bad O doesn’t have a Shah to kick around.

You know Dick Morris said that about 2 months ago and I thought he was nuts. I guess he might have the last laugh after all.
