Open Thread – aka “Poetry Afterglow”

Open thread…but just to throw a hunk of red meat in the cage, the Left is claiming all the photos of the march today were fake! (old photos re-touched from Leftist marches). Their “theory” is based on their assertion that there is NO WAY that many could have shown up on their own to oppose Obama.

I wish I was making that up!

cheers!
Justrand

credible estimates now place the number around 1.2 million.

1.2 million is not bad. I was hoping for 2 million even.

A commenter at HA saw this from the NYT:

As Mr. Obama traveled to Minnesota on Saturday to rally support for his health care plan, he flew over the assembling crowd in Marine One. The helicopter could be seen flying overhead as the demonstrators marched down Pennsylvania Avenue.

Chants on the march included “Shut down ACORN!” and “Boot Charlie Rangel!” and “Don’t tread on me.” There was not a single “Hey Hey/Ho Ho” in evidence. Songs included “Glory Hallelujah” and “My Country ‘Tis of Thee.” The most moving chant might have been when we walked past the Newseum, with its ginormous carving of the First Amendment on the side, and the crowd spontaneously said “Read that wall! Read that wall!

Inc – They starting to sing Hey Hey/Ho Ho when Glen Beck’s field reporter was live from the crowd, but it was just 2 lines

Well, RWY, you have to consider the amount of illegal substances that those crowds consumed–brains not working too well, you know.

Fake? There is a reason we call them nutroots. They are living up to their moniker.

I 100% believe that the DEMs are going to ram the public option through with ZERO GOP support. Their anger and fear after this wwekend events is showing on interviews with Fox news. For example the DEM pee-on that was part of Geraldo’s panel. The left is shell shocked from the crowd at the DC march and they have no answer.

Hahahahahaha don’t know what’s more funny that they thought they were faked in general or that they couldn’t figure out why a flag might have been at half mast this morning which is even more telling. I’ve said it before you just can’t parody these people anymore.

BTW the fact the bambi helo’s took off and flew over the event just goes to show how much he was lying again today when he claimed he was unaware of any protest event today in DC. Hahahaha yeah right mr. president.

A former Guantanamo detainee named Mehdi Mohammad Ghezali has reportedly been arrested in Pakistan on terrorism charges. According to the Associated Press:

Mehdi-Muhammed Ghezali was arrested with two other Swedes and nine other foreigners close to the country’s northwestern tribal regions…

The 12 foreigners were arrested Aug. 28 in the town of Dera Ghazi Khan. Police said at the time they had allegedly sneaked in from Iran and were planning to travel to the tribal areas. One was carrying a laptop computer and $10,000.

    EPH,

5 R Sens will cave in allowing a couple of D’s to vote no.

The Dems can kiss the House goodbye.
