“He was guilty of nothing, except that he earned his own fortune and never forgot that it was his.“ The concept contained within that phrase is what has set America apart, and made her the greatest nation on Earth. And it is the systematic attack on that concept, that this website is dedicated to fighting. This website is NOT devoted to making people “wealthy”, but rather to fighting the notion that the “wealth” they DO have needs to be “redistributed”.
I had a very strange and very vivid dream this morning. In this dream I was actually sitting down with Obama and trying to understand what his real thoughts and intentions were. What was his definition of Liberal and Conservative? Why was he defanging America? Why was he sucking up to the tyrants of the world? As with many dreams the details are now very hazy as to the responses he gave to my questions, but I woke up around 5 am with a feeling of dread and can’t get back to sleep.
Perhaps I’m too absorbed with this political stuff and should step away for a few weeks, but I have a feeling we haven’t seen nothing yet. It’s going to get a LOT worse before it gets better.
For some reason, I don’t think this country has seen the worst of what Obama has in store for us. He has driven this country to the brink on racism, the economy, politics, etc.
Somebody was kind enough to get me a subcription to Technical Analysis of Stocks & Commodities magazine. In it, the editor writes this:
“In the financial markets, October has always been viewed with lots of pessimism, and for good reason. Some of the most significant declines in the market have taken place in October. Two come to mind: October 1929 October 1987. . . . ”
Suppose the markets tank significantly in the next few months? What would a Conservative president do? What would a Liberal do? What would Obama do?
We’re only getting started, CT. This is his first year.
We’re going to find out if the Founders in their wisdom created a country strong enough to withstand the best combined efforts of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches to destroy it.
TOLD YOU SO. Obama pandered, he used you, even though the right told you his positions on homosexual marriage, you thought they were lying. You get what you get.
Allah and others on the right have no stones. What the left is trying to do is stifle any dissent period. I listen to Glen Beck almost everyday and he always says NO VIOLENCE for that is what they want to discredit us. In fact Glen makes a point of repeating it time and time again – NO VIOLENCE.
Because we speak the truth of what is happening and calling a spade a spade that they are Socialists/Communists and acting like Fascists we are crossing the line of civility. Because we are angry and it shows we are going to burn the town down – don’t think so.
Go back to Pelosi’s comments about the grass roots and we were astroturfing. It was them who astroturfs – not us. It is them who do the violence – the anti-war of the 1960’s, then later in 2000’s, the burning of the cities via riots. Yet because they do it or have done it, does not mean we do it. They project what they do on US. We are not them. Just because they turn violent when they don’t get their way does not mean we will turn violent because we don’t get our way.
Does that mean there is not a tipping point – NO. Anyone can be pushed beyond that point and there will be consequences. We need to stand on the truth (like Glen has done) and don’t back down.
If there is to be violence, let them start it but we will finish it.
Hmmm. An interesting turn of events. If they are a safe design we ought to buy them by the thousands and tell GE to stick in their eye
Arrr, be ye walk the plank Immelt?

The head of India’s Atomic Energy Commission, Anil Kakodkar, announced yesterday in Vienna a special version of the forthcoming Advanced Heavy Water Reactor (AHWR) adapted to use low-enriched uranium (LEU) fuel.
The original design is fuelled by a mix of uranium-233 and plutonium bred from thorium using fast neutron power reactors earlier in a thorium fuel cycle. The LEU variant is suitable for export because it does away with the plutonium, replacing it with uranium enriched to 19.75% uranium-235.
Producing 300 MWe, the unit is less than one third the capacity of a typical large reactor. It is designed to operate for up to 100 years and has a “next generation” level of safety that grants operators three days’ grace in the event of a serious incident and requires no emergency planning beyond the site boundary under any circumstances.
The design is intended for overseas sales, and the AEC says that “the reactor is manageable with modest industrial infrastructure within the reach of developing countries.”
Sally Quinn was on O’Reilly the other night talking about the tea party signs, and how offensive they were. That is the storyline the MSM wanted to tell, not the peaceful protests and the clean grounds afterward.
I saw somewhere there were liberal plants there handing out the professionally-produced sign “Bury ObamaCare with Kennedy” in order to discredit the folks. Unfortunately, some were sucked in and carried the signs around. Naturally, the Wash Post put that on the lead story.
Sally Quinn. Arrgh. A wicked wench. Bed her and wake up without ur gold or good name.

Oftentimes, when people want an example of a successful socialistic country, Sweden is cited as one. I hope these same people are worldly enough to see the direction this “progressive” country is now trying to take.
Actually, a generation of economic stagnation has taught the Swedes a lesson. They’ve learned that government does not produce wealth, and if they want more people to work, jobs have to pay better, after taxes. Sweden is therefore in the midst of a series of tax cuts aimed at preserving the long-term viability of its economy. Today’s headline: “Sweden slashes income tax further to boost jobs.”
It’s an interesting comparison: Sweden experimented with the nanny state, learned that it was devastating to the economic and moral health of its people, and is moving back toward individualism. Here in the U.S., we had the world’s most dynamic economy, and the lesson we took away from that–some of us, anyway–was that we were doing something wrong and needed to socialize everything. Curious.
Perhaps I’m too absorbed with this political stuff and should step away for a few weeks, but I have a feeling we haven’t seen nothing yet. It’s going to get a LOT worse before it gets better.

I can’t figure out whether the Obama white house is defensive or aggressive. Sounds like they are being aggressive from a weak position. Most of their issue stands are indefensible once the sunlight shines on them.
I think Obama, when out of campaign mode and having to deal with real issues and talk specifics, is like a cornered animal. Could be dangerous from here on out.
I honestly believe there will come a time when the stench of corruption from the White House becomes too much for even the MSM turn a blind eye too. When that day comes the media will be like reformed smokers and the flood gates will turn the other way — story upon story about the type of things Chris Wallace alluded to in the link above.

Hot Air is going soft like ACE.
They have caved to Pelosi and are warning their readers.

It was in response to trolling by one of Goodtime Charlie’s drones.
They basically just want the ‘wookie’ stuff to stop.
It’s amusing, but I can see their point.

Let me add that there’s nothing wrong with the games per se. It’s a free country and people can do what they want with their talents.
But the programs should be completed separated from the college institutions and their educational mission.
It was an accident of history that the colleges and universities turned into the farm teams for professional football and basketball.
It has now become a grotesque joke, with the schools completely addicted to the revenue and thus committed to the hypocrital charade.

PG, Every site gets trolls and kooks, all you have to do is ban them.
They went beyond that: “I think Kaus is totally right that Glenn Beck should tone down the apocalyptic/coup rhetoric,”
That’s Allapundit.
No, Beck needs to keep doing what he’s doing.
Allah and other soft-bellies must think this is a food fight. And that the radicals aren’t really, well, radical.

Phineas, whenever I see your name, I’m reminded of Mikey. Remember her? She used to spend a lot of time on PP. Taught physics, I believe.

Thar’s not enough gold in King Tut’s tomb to make me sail with them, argh.

It’s funny how much time Ace, Allah, Frum, Chekote, etc, all spend fighting with their own side. And they are fighting with conservatives.
At least during the amnesty fight, we were fighting with our own side to try and drag them to the right. These guys are trying to drag us to the left.
[29]
Nobody’s ever been marooned from this here blog, young Brandon, but Acroso and Chekote, them swabs. To Davy Jones with em both, argh.

right.
Oh by the way, Obama is a facsist.
Let Allah run off all the posters if he wants. More for us.
