The guy is pretty cool about the whole thing. He said the guy got in his face, so he punched him. He punched him a second time, and his finger stayed in the perp’s mouth.
Neil asked him what he would do without his finger. He said he would have to alter his piano lessons.

BTW, this interview with the victim is remarkable.
Mr. Rice is calm, lucid and logical about what happened and why. His terse commentary, particularly his broader intepretation near the end of the segment, is better than what is delivered by most of the media drones.
He represents the health care protesters, and America, well and proudly. I hope that we will see more of Mr. Rice and those like him in the future. The contrast between himself and the leftist filth that attacked him could not be more stark, and is an illustration of the larger conflict going on in this nation.
