Get Set for Nasty Democrat Attacks in 2010

2009 October 12
by bc3b

A month ago RINO Chris Christie had a double digit lead over incumbent Gov. Jon Corzine in New Jersey. Corzine started playing hardball with attack ads recently

+ and now, two weeks before the election, various polls report results that show the lead has been cut to 5% down to it’s a toss-up.

It appears Democratic strategists, seeing the success Corzine is having, are considering this for 2010 – it’s easier attacking Republicans than defending their record.

New Jersey Republicans complain that Gov. Jon Corzine, a Democrat, has turned nasty to gain ground in his re-election bid this year. Republicans elsewhere should brace themselves.

That is because Mr. Corzine’s strategy for a comeback victory has turned into a template for Democratic candidates to survive in the 2010 midterm elections. Its shorthand description: winning ugly.

Now that Democrats control the White House, Congress and most governorships, voters’ discontent with the status quo represents their burden, which has Democratic strategists considering tactics to push back challengers.

Full article.

While Democratic strategists are getting mean, idiotic Republican strategists do what they do best: whine and complain about Sarah Palin.

Can you believe Corzine is making fun of Chris Christie’s weight.

Tana Raymond (D) with Chris Christie and Kim Guadagno by chrischristiemedia.

How can anyone make fun of Chris Christie’s weight? Doesn’t everyone have an 84-inch waist?

While the Dims attack, the GOP strategists hide under their desks while the RINOs look for ways to capitulate.

When it the GOP going to learn it has to fight fire with fire?

And exactly how is this surprising?

I don’t mean to be flippant, but if the GOP or anyone else thinks the Donks are just going to roll over and play dead, I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell them. These guys will only go scratching and clawing every step of the way. Nothing is beneath them. Nothing.

Don’t fall for the ritual New Jersey ‘temptation of the GOP’.

The state is through-and-through corrupt, owned by the Democratic unions, and populated by people that would reflexively vote Dem if unemployment rates were above 50%.

The GOP will not win there in the current incarnation of this country. And with a RINO like Christie, it is just as well.

the attack on Christie for his girth is despicable…and if the tables were turned would have the National media going NUTS…and advocacy groups for over-weight people would be threatening to sue…or suing!

But since it a (D) making fun of someone’s weight…it’s no big deal.

Christie will lose, and it does not matter if he wins, nothing in NJ will ever change. But if Christie does win, it will be funny watching the Corzine people’s heads pop..

Look at Christie. That is ridiculous, the man is 120 pounds overweight. That is not just a 15-pound “gotta lay off the ice cream” problem.

How can one person eat that much? Do you realize how much you have to overeat to look like that?

    Holy crap.

Anyway, I’m starting to feel sorry for the poor guy.

I can’t imagine the mentality of anyone who would switch their vote over an attack ad on someone’s weight.

Christie is a fat ass, but if you are going to vote for him and then suddenly decide, “hold it, I’ll vote for Corzine now, because Christie’s doughnut habit is more important than Scum-o-crat corruption, well you’re a lunatic.

    bc,

Believe me or not. I’ve talked (directly-privately) with a member of congress dealing with the lack of conservative Republicans standing up for what is right and against Dems. nasty comments.

They (even he) feels the frustration. They have met and have formulated a plan. Timing is everything. For instance I think it is quite possible Christie peaked too soon.

Remember the “Contract with America” was announced just a month or two before the ‘94 election. Would it have had the same affect if they announced it a year before.

My complaint is they cannot let issues slip away in a political maneuver.

The other thing is that blogs, like this one, talk radio, and some FOX programming have carried the ball. Keeping the Republicans out of the battle and partisan attacks.

DeMint and Joe Wilsons comments just ignited Dems and liberals. (Waterloo and you lie) which led to a discussion about their partisanship, rather than the issues.

It pisses me off that they don’t go on the attack but maybe I’m wrong and their correct.

It indicates that there is not likely to be much resistance if at all to the destruction of the nation. 80 years of liberalism has been too much.

When an existing party is irrelevant or incapable of defending itself, is it not time for another party? I know half of you will say third party is not the way to go. But when you have hit a seamine and the keel is broken, its time to abandon ship. McCain was the seamine. The Dims are coming alongside to shell the Reps so they sink faster is all.

Have you seen GOP strategists: McKinnon, Schmidt, Madden, Murphy – all metrosexuals (perhaps homosexual in Schmidt’s case who are afraid to play tough because they know the Dims might fight back. These guys are always to roll over and play dead.

Well one bit of good news from Fox. McConnell still in the lead. Independents leaning 59-38 in favor of the (R).

I also agree with IP on NJ. Far as I am concerned NJ was the original failed state. Even when I lived there.

Could you imagine the impacts if Murdoch bought NBC?

    * The Hannity Olbermann show.
    * The tingle in Chris Matthews leg might be gone. Let alone the fact he would have to wear a bib on the air.
    * Maddow would have to Jump the Snark the other way.
    * GE would lose its best lever on the O admin.

    Dreams are made of these…..

From Bay Buchnan’s article: Beware the Republican Establishment
    (Thanks again John McCain)

    http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=33826&keywords=beware+republican+establishment

In Colorado, District Attorney Ken Buck, a tough prosecutor of illegal aliens, was gaining traction in his campaign for U.S. Senate. Enter John McCain. He calls Jane Norton, former Lt Governor and state chairman of his presidential bid, and convinces her to run against Buck, promising the NRSC endorsement, plenty of money, and a lock on the nomination. Le Moine Dowd, a grassroots activist, summed it up perfectly: “Do we want the NRSC deciding our candidate? Does this action by the NRSC make the primary election irrelevant? Does it make the Colorado Republican Party irrelevant?”

In Ohio, Rob Portman, a former pro-amnesty congressman and Bush trade rep, announced his bid for the U.S. Senate earlier this year. Then Tom Ganley, a conservative businessman from Cleveland infuriated by the massive uncontrolled spending of Washington, decided to run. Mortal sin, declared the party, which told this self-made successful businessman to get out of the race, that “the U.S. Senate isn’t an entry level position.” The NRSC endorsed Portman and are in full campaign mode.

This same scenario is being repeated in a dozen other states. The political bosses are adamant that our candidates look and talk like them — the kind that will get in line behind them. Leaders that rise up out of the rebellion and run for office will be a problem for them. So the snakes are out to stop them.

The rebellion must start to focus on producing candidates that will do represent the American people in Washington — then we must rally behind them and defeat the establishment candidates in the primaries. If that doesn’t work, we must field candidates to run as independents in the general. The country is too important to let the establishment of either party continue to have their way with her.

I can’t wait until I get the next call from the California Republican Party (yeah, an oxymoron) sniffing for money. I’m going to give them an earful about Whitman. Do we not have any standards?
