It’s actually not quite so funny, since they ARE going to pass it and it IS going to lead to massive tax increases.

This “reform” is the final corner stone of the socialist utopia these ditchcarp have fought for since the new deal. They aren’t about to stop now.

I am preparing for massive tax increases… why? Because I am a single person who makes over 4x the local poverty level. I am preparing for the potential tax increase of at least another $1,000/$2,000 a month, and this is before my 401K is taken over and limited tax shelter eliminated as some Democrats in Congress want to do.

The government is spending too much and going to look in every pot until no one is left with a pot to pi.. well you get the idea.

Once I become a poor person will some poor person be required to give me their HDTV and I-phone? Or maybe just pay my cable tv bill?

I have to stop shaking my head at all the stupidity… I don’t think ZEROcare will cover chronic whiplash…..

For myself, I’m eagerly looking forward to a post-apocalyptic California. See if it actually looks anything like the “Escape from New York” and “Escape from L.A.” movies. The weather will still be great and it will be great seeing Schwarzenegger live out his movie roles in real-life. Sounds fun. However, I’ll probably send my kids overseas somewhere though.

Americans will start getting more and more creative in sheltering their income. Barter and cash transaction services will expand. Black markets will expand.

Dood? She says it’;s gonna pass, and we all know it will fail at taking care of people, that’s not why the Dems are doing it. They don’t give a crap about actual heath care. They view it solely thru the lens of red

Some form of this “thing” call ObamaCare by us…and “HealthCare” by the Left will pass.

Even if they have to water it down to “Band-Aids for Bunnies” it WILL pass.

Once the nose of this particular camel is under the tent…the rest of the foul smelling creature will be ushered in! 100% Guarantee.

    This is about P-O-W-E-R. Period.

Jokeleaf is annoying, but as predictable as Olympia Snowe. It was guaranteed that when the Dow hit 10,000, he’d be crowing….

Anyway, the dollar is collapsing, which he is ignoring. I hope he finds a constructive use for all his worthless greenbacks.

‘Is the Filipino government a laissez faire one, Phin?’

Not hardly, it’s corrupt as hell so you have to know your way around.

And foreigners aren’t allowed to own property, so it will have to be through my wife.

That said, if you play it right, you can do quite well. A dollar will take you a very long ways over there, even with the current state of the dollar.

the “music” in this game of financial “musical chairs” is going to stop soon.

I’m glad the Dow is back above 10,000.

At week’s end I will pull all remaining money we have in our 401ks out and, for now, transfer it to Treasuries. The stock market will collpase before they do…but they will collapse too.

ip727, gotta try to last 2 more years in this State…my job is here. Of course, the CEO of the very big company I work for has no use for the Kalifornia government…or Obama. So he may move a lot of the infrastructure out of State anyway…and the name “Texas” has come up. Ever heard of it? 🙂

Still, our Galt’s Gulch / Roark’s Drift is pretty well set up…and it’ll be safe for quite a while.

But yes, the inmates have long since taken over the asylum out here…but those inmates are counting on all of YOU to bail them out!!

Smuggle illegals into California gets you a slap on the wrist. I wonder what you’ll get if you get caught smuggling in giant plasma?

IP, no need to send those coordinates. See Drudge? Obama has invited the chicoms to visit. They can just pickup the coordinates (along with a few checks) when they leave.

Trucked in from out of state.

Smuggling banned contraband such as 100 watt incandescent light bulbs and large screen TVs will be a growth industry. Wouldn’t be surprised to see MS-13 get in on the action.

    As seen on Drudge.

On one hand: Across the USA, power plants are turning to wood to make electricity. The move is spurred by state mandates to encourage renewable power and by bills moving through Congress that require more renewable electricity nationwide.

On the other hand: As the industry expands, “it’s going to move quickly from waste wood to wood chips,” says Scot Quaranda of the Dogwood Alliance, a forest-protection group. That would lead to “more large-scale clear-cutting, more conversion of natural forest to plantations and more endangered forests being logged,” he says.

Do liberals even understand the concept of unintended consequences? I’m certain my 7-year old 2nd grader could have figured this one out. Sheesh, what dolts.

O/T…I just sent THIS to the NFL Commissioner’s Office:

First, I am not a regular Rush Limbaugh listener…or even a fan. Clear?

That said, I find the NFL’s reaction to the FALSE allegations made against Rush Limbaugh to be despicable.

Therefore, I am THROUGH watching NFL games, buying any merchandise branded “NFL”, and will organize a boycott through my website of advertisers on NFL broadcasts.

Though I do not routinely listen to him, Rush Limbaugh is NOT a “racist”. I have carefully researched this whole affair…and read and listened to a lot of material on the issue. He is NOT a “racist”.

The NFL is dead wrong…and now absent a lifelong viewer and fan.

    [and I signed it]

Just freed up a whole lot of Sundays. I vote with my wallet these days, folks. I woulda done this even if my local team DIDN’T suck. Watch if you like…but DO consider boycotting the products you see advertised. And let ’em know!

The NFL Commissioner is a weak willy. In disciplinary actions, he gives his thugs a slap on the wrist for criminal activity, then goes after Limbaugh for nothing. He started with the NFL as an intern, and still acts like one.

    Boycott away.
