But, then again, it seems like fame inherently feeds the ego, so perhaps he just can't help himself. I heard part of the Frum/Hewitt exchange. It was actually uncomfortable to listen to because of the harshness. Hewitt was like a pit bull, and seemed more incensed by Frum's mildly negative clumping of him with others in a commentary than anything else. Frum was upset and defensive...and then Hewitt just cut him off because he was going to interview Pawlenty. Hewitt did throw Frum a bone, however, by saying he could come back on after Pawlenty's interview. Frum obviously declined, giving Hewitt more to chide him with. I was not impressed by the exchange. It was like a cock fight, with nothing really accomplished in the dialogue. I like Hewitt as well too, despite is large ego. But he's certainly spot-on regarding Frum. Hewitt's all about tactical decisions to regain control of the government. We need folks like that too. Plus, on his radio show he's really good at getting folks like Frum on and then fileting them! :) He's not Mark Levin...but he is and ally, IMHO.
