The bottom line is there is a nation the size of Great Britain, within our borders, armed, patriotic, liberty loving and committed to the constitution. It may be double the size of the UK in fact. We will be peaceful unless force is brought to us first. But we will never yield our liberty, nor that of our families.

Obama can try, and God knows he will, but he cannot move this rock, he can only break himself on it.

    Fear not.

    Ras poll over on Allah-McCain.com…..

    Huck 29,
    Mitt 24,
    Palin 18.

Oh God shoot me now, Obama will be re-elected… Why can’t Huck go away?

At Intrade they have the Huckster pretty low, he wont be the chosen one…that is Mitt. Mitt is getting the most money but Sarah is a clear second. We need to be patient, Sarah hasn’t even started her campaigning for 2010 types yet…..too early to worry.

PS be careful with your prayers RWY (Oh God shoot me now), we cant lose a great future general this early in the fight.

Please tell me the GOP is not stupid enough to nominate Huckabee.

Romney probably cannot win. Huck certainly cannot.

Palin may, or she may not, or we can find someone else. Not Huck, not Romney.

Guys, guys, guys… We have three years to worry about the GOP nominee. It’s possible it may be someone completely off the radar now. Rather than disparage the candidates at this time, let’s instead hope that each choose to help where they can in 2010 to elect conservatives. Even Mitt and Huck can help in this. The proof will be in the pudding.

Having an hour each week on Fox helps a lot with visibility. That was probably the name most people polled could even remember. Things will be a lot different once the election is on the horizon.

    Great link Mullet.

“A few years ago, we tried to pass medical-liability reform, which is always filibustered in the Senate,” recalls Ryan. “We said that if we stick it in reconciliation, we can pass it, since tort reform, according to the CBO, will reduce the federal government’s health-care costs. The parliamentarian said no, saying it was not a money-saving policy. We lost that one.

So let me get this straight. The Republican says that because they played fair one time in the past regarding reconciliation, that the Democrats will play fair this time. After watching the CBO rollover on HC, does he actually think a Dem-appointed parliamentarian is going to stop the bill? That folks, is why the GOP is known as the “STUPID PARTY”.

Reconciliation will give us ObamaCare, but it won’t be because of reconciliation, it will be because Reid is such a poor senator. Lets say Reid is in a close race for his Senate seat, recon never sees the light of day. It is too polarizing an issue. On the flip side, if he determines he can’t win, he’ll use the recon option in order to get ObamaCare passed and as his final “middle finger” to the Republicans (and the country).

Bottom line? Send Reid some cash asap, but not too much.

HEH. I just heard on the local news that Walmart and B&N are in a price war to sell books. So guess what the complaint is? That’s right, Sarah’s book is only selling for 9 bucks which means she’s likely to sell even more of them.
