The Cost of Freedom

Throughout history, people and organizations have employed numerous methods of encoding messages into documents, and thus hiding the true meaning of that document.

Sometimes the messages are literally hidden, using invisible ink that is then reactivated using heat or some other method.  This was used quite a bit during the Revolutionary War.  Sometimes the messages are written in what is obviously a code, like the Enigma codes of World War II.  These rely on only the sender and recipient knowing how to decipher the message.

Often though, the messages are in plain sight, appearing innocuous unless you know where and how to look.  An innocent looking letter may contain a different message if you read only every fourth word, or make letters from the first letter of certain words, for example.  Governor Schwarzenegger sent a letter to the California Legislature the other day with just such a message encoded:

 FU Letter

The first letter of each line in the big paragraphs provides a message that is funny and harmless (unless you’re a member of the hapless California Legislature).

Another method of disguising information was demonstrated yesterday: the blizzard!  The House of Representatives dumped a 1,900 page “Healthcare” Bill out in a choreographed “Press Conference” from which the public was barred, and to which only friendly media were invited.

I have not yet read this Bill…no one outside those who produced this monstrosity have, or will have time to before voting on it if Nancy Pelosi has her way.  The first Bill that Nancy and her cronies produced a few months ago was written in such a Byzantine way that it virtually defied reading.  For example, the “definition” of “Employer Provided Health Plan” in the “Definitions Section”, required the reader to obtain four other documents and research ten sections within them to decipher the meaning. I expect this document one to be the same…except that it is TWICE as long!

The House “Healthcare” Bill isn’t funny and harmless like Schwarzenegger’s letter.  But it ultimately contains the same message: “Fuck You!”

Nancy Pelosi’s Bill is currently priced at $900 Billion.  That’s not the Cost of Freedom, it’s the price of chains.

I actually struggled with whether to leave the expletive in my post…but ultimately decided to because it is in Schwarzenegger’s letter, and it IS the true meaning of the House “Healthcare” Bill.

Well over 50% of Americans OPPOSE the “Public Option” (now Orwellianly re-labeled: “Consumer Option”), yet Queen Nancy trotted it out anyway!

Clearly “FU” to the American people!

JR, apparantly you have been missing some of my . posts. 🙁

Here’s the Obama/Pelosi bill: http://rehberg.house.gov/uploads/HR3962.pdf . We won’t have to look too deep into it, like you said, it is nothing but a big FU to the country.

Take a quick glance at what Pelosi and Obama are offering. Communists can be so charitable at times.

It has never been about the American people, but rather their own legacy. After recognizing how puny and insignificant they really are in the scheme of things, this is their only grasp at immortality (infamy). Poor pathetic losers, that they must saddle the future generations with this crap in order to bolster their own puny egos, and compensate for their own obvious sexual/cultural/philosophical inadequacies.

These people are the bungholes of the world, living in the armpit of the country.

Pelosi doesn’t have all her blue dogs on leash (pun absolutely intended), otherwise these sections would simply state “Abortions on demand, the US Government will pay for all of them.”

Pelosi and her ilk are living in a sound-proof room in Washington! There is such intense, vigorous opposition to the HC vision offered by the dims, across the country. Yet, they stand there with pom-poms and act like they are doing us a favor!

Blind-sighted hubris is what their HC legislation is!

The only “help” we can hope for is that 1) Tuesday’s races will pull every conservative out of their nooks and crannies so that there are disproportionate numbers, overwhelming all dim opposition 2)the R’s in congress stay committed in numbers (which I think they are), joined by fearful moderates in the other party, so that Pelosi cannot garner the votes needed to pass this monstrosity (justrand’s apt term) of a bill!

Good COF, Dad. Rarely do I approve of expletives on the front page of this site, but in this case, it fit. The message came from Ahnuld in the first place, and it is the same message Nancy is giving America. Not ones to come up with good ideas on their own, clearly they looked to our dear leader for inspiration:

Agree, drdog. I will take Lieberman’s help on legislation. After all, we could have had Ned Lamont’s health care help. The campaign trail, on the other hand, is not the place for him. His message and “help” would hold the conservative shift in neutral, and create space for third parties to get to the right of our candidates.

That, as we see in NY and NJ is a killer.

Have you guys been able to open that Drudge link on the death panels?

this “political phenomena” (as janzam and Justmary called it) IS unique in American political history!

For a major Party to RUN AWAY from their candidate and run TO someone else in the race is huge! Parties have dropped their candidates due to scandal, etc. But in this case a movement (the Conservative movement!) forced their hand.

I sure hope the GOP is paying attention! This is NOT an “anomaly”!

I’ve heard the same thing JM, that Pelosi & Co. did indeed slip the so-called “death panels” back into this bill.

Lots of distracting, lengthy camouflage in this bill, but it all adds up to the same things —–> costly, obstuctive “take-over” of private health care!

#21 You need to remember that the actual “Death Panel” is the WHOLE Obamacare system. What kills people in single payer/socialist medicine systems is the rationing/waiting lists and lack of innovation.

The clowns (politician and gov employees) would not have the gut to actually send some to tell you that you are slated to die – its just done by the use of formulas, regulations, etc that set up who gets priority on the various waiting lists.

The closest approximation to that you might see in the bill would be a group called “Comparative Outcome Boards” or “Health Comminsioners”. Those will be the guys who are empowered to begin the regulations that deny treatments or start rationing.

The whole thing about “end of life” counseling being a paid treatment in HR 3200 is what people usally fixate on but that not the “Death Panel” – again, the WHOLE SCHEME is a virtual death panel but no such board ever exists or notification ever given by a person in the Democrats or other countries government run systems.

Conservatives need to understand this and explain it in this terms or elses its easy for liberals to dismiss the “end of life” counseling as simply paying for a treatment – that just a small, small part of the whole death panel government HC system.
