A Visit From Obama
A Visit From Obama
(aka: Zero, Skippy, The One, The Messiah, The Obamster, The Obaminator, TelePrompTer in Chief, The Kenyan, “O”-man, Mr. Community Organizer, Mr. Hope-n-Change, O it’s-all-Bush’s-fault bama, O my-God-what-have-we-done-bama, Driver of the bus under which everyone gets thrown (With apologies to Clement Clark Moore and / or Major Henry Livingston, Jr.–one of whom supposedly wrote “A Visit From St. Nicholas”).
Twas the night of election and all through our house,
We were guarding our freedoms like cheese by a mouse.
Our freedoms and rights tucked away with much care,
In hopes that good sense would long keep them there.
The liberals were nestled all snug in their beds,
While more visions of socialism danced in their heads.
But Momma clung to her Bible and I to my gun,
Praying the voters would end Zero’s fun.
When on the Fox news there arose such a clatter,
Twas a white house spokesman, as mad as a hatter.
Away to the tube I flew like a flash,
To hear final results of the election day clash.
Seems Virginia quite handily sent Deeds to defeat,
And Conservative Hoffman won NY’s house seat.
But when Corzine went down, ’twas a humiliation,
Put a stop to the plans for more Obama-nation.
I glanced out the window and happened to notice
A bunch of nuts led by what looked like the POTUS ?!?!?!
Their faces were grim, with looks of dejection,
They just got the news, the Dems lost the elections.
And lo, to my conservative eyes had appeared,
An ACORN sleigh with eight donkeys had neared.
A Nobel blinged driver–speechifying with drama,
I knew in a moment it was the liar Obama.
Slower than snails, his coursers quite lame,
As Zero muttered and cursed them and called them by name.
“Damn Biden, damn Pelosi, damn Reid, damn Gore,
On Soros, On Sharpton, On media and Michael Moore.
“Worse than Chicago not getting the O games,
My single pay healthcare now shot down in flames,
Hopes dashed for card check, cap and trade too,
Destroying America–my plans coming unglued.”
I cracked open a beer and took a sip of my Bud, [weiser]
Down the chimney “O” came with a crash and a thud.
He was coated with Marxism from his head to his foot,
He looked tattered and battered, all covered with soot.
A big bag of deficits he had flung on his back,
Broken promises too, he’s such a sad hack.
His eyes how downcast, his demeanor not cheery.
His ego deflated–of him we’ve grow weary.
The halo he once wore was no longer in sight,
Seems his czars and advisors were all none too bright,
The steam of defeat now gushed out his big ears.
Tonight’s defeats stripped ObamaCare’s gears.
The large teleprompter he quickly erected,
“I won” said he, ”it was me you elected.
I’m swapping this big load of debts for your rights,
And the size of government I’ll take to new heights”.
He gave me his ’spread the wealth’ speech with a smirk,
“Your freedoms and rights from you I must jerk.”
My big dog barked loudly right next to his nose,
He soiled his britches and up the chimney he rose.
He sprang to his sleigh, to his homies gave a whistle,
And they scurried away like they sat on a thistle.
But I heard The One say as they limped out of sight,
“I shouldn’t have listened so long to Ayers and to Wright.”

Ok, what happened to INC’s article???? INC you pull it?
By the way Dr. Zero over at HA nails the Reps ‘Between a Rock and a Hard Place’ situation. Link.
[8]
halarious!!!!
[9]
I pulled it. It’ll go back up at 9:45. I didn’t realize retlaw’s poem had been posted and I wanted to give that time at the top.
[10]
I think she pulled it down to give retlaw’s poem a shot at the top for a bit.
INC, go ahead and re-post…just make retlaw’s “stickey”, and then yours will fill into the #2 slot.
cheers!
[11]
OK, Justrand.
[12]
thx, INC…they’re both great posts!
[13]
The Privacy Act post is back up now.

More proof that BJG has the best rhymers
With such excellence coming from our first timers
An early Merry Christmas and Happy Election Eve, you bitter clingers.
[15]
Nicely done retlaw.
Looks like I’m going to be falling to 10th place on poetry night.
[16]
tomorrow night will put the capper on this election season. Three races, three different lessons:
- Virginia. From Red to Purple to Blue and BACK TO RED. And it looks like a SOLID RED. Welcome back, Viringians…we missed ya! Obama “magic” has been from too close a distance for Virginia’s comfort, they want no more of it! Lesson: run a good candidate and a good race and you can win in an honest State!
- New Jersey. It’s a bought State. Mobbed up, of course, but those are the GOOD people! Lesson: run a bad candidate in a crooked State and you might as well not bother!
.
- NY-23. A wake-up call to the GOP. Lesson: WE”RE HERE!!!!
[17]
I’ll be there with you. The point is, never give up. And cry, to win. I had nearly forgotten that.
[18]
Don’t give up on NJ just yet……
[19]
The fun tomorrow will be in watching what the talking meatheads do. Some of the lines they will use will be using:
“Tantrums”
“Hiccup”
“Racists”
“Not mainstream”
“Out of touch”
But in actuality, it is they who are all of these things–and more.
[20]
JR – I responded to your post under “Energy” but the thread moved along so fast I don’t know if you saw it. Was wondering if dems robocalling for Dagget is an attempt to set up the tea parties and blame them for spliting the gop vote.
[21]
Great Retkaw, absolutely great.
[22]
There is a lesson here for the Pols. Obama has NO COATTAILS.
He sent his robo staff to NJ, he campaigned there hard for Corzine. Corzine got a minor bounce day+1, then day+2,3,4 his numbers dropped again. Fact they dropped lower then before O slimed into town.
So if O’s spread in Rasmussen continues to drop, the man will be the Zero Factor in 2010. That I take as a good sign.
[23]
Outstanding walter.
[24]
TLS, I responded on that thread…bottom line: Great point!
[25]
Tomorrow, by the time we awaken here on the Left Coast, the media will have already declared Owens and Corzine the winners, and McDonnel irrelevant!
Guaranteed.
Stay frosty tomorrow, and try to find ways to help keep people bucked up around the country! And if you can help GOTV, then God love ya, please do so!
[26]
JR – The excuses have already started. via drudge:

WASHINGTON — Republicans appear positioned for strong results in three hard-fought elections Tuesday. But isolated, off-year contests aren’t always reliable indicators of what will happen in the wider federal and state races held in even-numbered years.
[27]
TLS, wow, the spin has begun! They went all out in the headline in case people didn’t read the entire column!
Republicans Are Poised for Gains in Key Elections
Outcomes in New York, New Jersey and Virginia Are Unlikely to Forecast Much About National Races in 2010, History Shows
[28]
JR JM,
We may need to start a tradition of a BJG happy hour beginning tomorrow. If things turn out how I think they will, I’ll be buying the virtual drinks–and having a real one–or two myself.
[29]
the media, especially the A/P, has given up any pretext of REPORTING the news. They are adicted to MAKING and SHAPING the “news”.
Of course, if somehow the Democrats win 2 of the 3, THEN the “off year” elections WILL BE “reliable indicators”.
More and more their bullshit is falling on deaf ears, and closed eyes.
[30]
‘isolated, off-year contests aren’t always reliable indicators of what will happen in the wider federal and state races held in even-numbered years.’
Yes, of course, unless liberal Democrats win them, that is.
I’m wondering, has there ever before been such a situation where a politically treasonous media–and I use that word advisedly–was so at odds and at war with the majority of the nation?
I suppose there has been, I just can’t recall when or where.
[31]
Yep, they are using the “off year” bs to paint Palin’s endorsement as meaningless.
Getting trounced politically, but calling it “nothing” because we’re not voting for president is like beating the crap out of Mike Tyson and having the sportswriters call it “nothing” because a title wasn’t on the line.
[32]
funny how Hoffman suddenly went from Conservative to Republican in that article?!?
[33]
I suppose there has been, I just can’t recall when or where.
Yesterday. Last week. Last year. The 90’s. The 80’s. The 70’s. . . . .
[34]
CT, obviously–or perhaps not– I was collectively referring to the American media post-Watergate…..
[35]
PG, I knew what you referring to. It was just an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.
[36]
Getting trounced politically, but calling it “nothing” because we’re not voting for president is like beating the crap out of Mike Tyson and having the sportswriters call it “nothing” because a title wasn’t on the line.
Funny you used that analogy CT. Like always, it is not whether Tyson lost or won the fight. What was significant was he bit the guys ear. Or so it seems with the press.
[37]
Tony springs for the drinks.
The “Hot Doughnuts Now” sign is lit up at Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donuts is open for business.
Go Christie. Have another dozen.
[38]
Labels…despite their utter lack of credibility, the media still makes up the labels, and sticks them where THEY see fit.
Going around the net just now I found EVERY “msm” source referring to DeDe Suzzy “a MODERATE”…or “a CENTRIST”. Bullshit, of course, but that is how she is being labeled!
In their brains she IS a “Centrist”. They had re-defined the “Center” as what used to be called the LEFT! After all, the crowd surrounding Lord Obama considers Mao and Che to be “just Left of Center”.
I pray that the American people will vote with their eyes OPEN tomorrow.
[39]
I wonder which right- or moderate-leaning reporter will have the guts to ask the MSM, “Well if Scozz is so spectacular, why didn’t you guys nominate her?”
[40]
My congresswoman Representative Virginia Foxx.
HellCare
I am glad to share her, and you’re welcome very much.
[41]
retlaw- phenomenal!
[42]
With any luck we will be having a virtual happy hour tomorrow. Lord knows that my birthday this year deserves to be better than the last (the 5th last year was a somber day in the JM household). I cried all stinkin day. This year…..gimme some party drinks PLEASE!
[43]
retlaw
Loved it!
Welcome to BJG as a guest poster!

A choice one from the Rush.

303.From CNS News:
“Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, who has served in the Senate for 33 years and is a longtime member of the Judiciary Committee, told CNSNews.com that he does not believe the Democrats’ health-care reform plan is constitutionally justifiable, noting that if the federal government can force Americans to buy health insurance “then there is literally nothing the federal government can’t force us to do.”

LOL
[48]
I’m surprised by this AP article on MSNBC msnbc
[49]
MI, why? With a graph like this — “The White House suggested those developments show that hard-liners are taking over the Republican Party, and the trend will affect the 2010 elections. On Monday, presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs predicted, “This is a model for what you’ll see throughout the country.”
The press is going to try and gin this as ‘oh those poor Reps. They are being raped to the right, and they were developing such a moderate streak.’ This is nothing but a faint attempt at slap at the conservatives and attempting to further brand the GOP as unsuitable as a consequence.
Have none of it.
[50]
Excellent… I was concerned that you forgot The ZERO in the list … but you included it in the poem…
[51]
This resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia is proud to announce she has voted. I ran into the usual suspects from each party handing out the sample ballots. As the young clueless with the Deeds shirt tried to hand me his ballot I say NO, I’ll take this one and the young intelligent one in the McDonnell shirt did a fist pump and hushed, “Yes”.
The news is that the polls were not so busy. Not like last year was the refrain. Oh yes, last year when suddenly I discovered that the “demographics” of my neighborhood was not what I had thought for the last 8 years. Last eyar when contrary to the DC trend of single person households we suddenly discovered that every auntee, cousin, niece, nephew, and assorted brothers and sisters had moved into a two bedroom townhouse. To be sure voter last year in the Commonwealth, voter fraud was alive and well and I was amazed I was living in a 60-70% minority neighborhood. Now 12 months later it seems these folks decided they didn’t like the Commonwealth so much after all and have relocated back to DC, Maryland, New York, Delaware, and places deeply blue. Thankfully it didn’t require much effort on their part, not a moving van or box required, I’m sure they didn’t even need a suitcase.
So I have mixed feelings about a national voter database and identification. I am starting to think that voting for national elections should all be electronic over the internet into a national database. We could still go to polling places, but the machines would all be connected to the internet. We could vote using our social security numbers.
[52]
judyt2009–
Thanks for voting…and thanks for your perceptions of how your neighborhood’s “demographics” has seen wild swings from pre and post 2008 elections. It seems that, sadly, there is an element in the Dem party that has no regard for the sanctity of the election process.
At some point in the future I hope the truth will come out as to how widespread fraudulent voting practices were (and still are) in many urban areas all across the US. In my opinion, these shameful illegalities from A to Z that some in the Dem party employ are far more widespread than most would imagine. And they do alter the outcome of elections.
[53]
Voted this morning myself, from Deeds home county. Numbers were up so far…I was number 64 at my precinct…okay, so it’s a tiny county, but we still count.
I feel a little bad for the guy cause I think Deeds, like Gore, will lose at home…
I personally need the exhileration of a good rout.
[54]
#47 MIC – MSNBC also had a link to the Washington Post blog about the healthcare bill not having the votes due to abortion funding that I linked on the main thread. Maybe they didn’t like having CNN call them out as Obama cheerleaders!
