“He was guilty of nothing, except that he earned his own fortune and never forgot that it was his.“ The concept contained within that phrase is what has set America apart, and made her the greatest nation on Earth. And it is the systematic attack on that concept, that this website is dedicated to fighting. This website is NOT devoted to making people “wealthy”, but rather to fighting the notion that the “wealth” they DO have needs to be “redistributed”.

#47 MIC - MSNBC also had a link to the Washington Post blog about the healthcare bill not having the votes due to abortion funding that I linked on the main thread. Maybe they didn't like having CNN call them out as Obama cheerleaders!

Voted this morning myself, from Deeds home county. Numbers were up so far...I was number 64 at my precinct...okay, so it's a tiny county, but we still count.

I feel a little bad for the guy cause I think Deeds, like Gore, will lose at home...

I personally need the exhileration of a good rout.

judyt2009--
Thanks for voting...and thanks for your perceptions of how your neighborhood's "demographics" has seen wild swings from pre and post 2008 elections. It seems that, sadly, there is an element in the Dem party that has no regard for the sanctity of the election process.

At some point in the future I hope the truth will come out as to how widespread fraudulent voting practices were (and still are) in many urban areas all across the US. In my opinion, these shameful illegalities from A to Z that some in the Dem party employ are far more widespread than most would imagine. And they do alter the outcome of elections.

This resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia is proud to announce she has voted. I ran into the usual suspects from each party handing out the sample ballots. As the young clueless with the Deeds shirt tried to hand me his ballot I say NO, I'll take this one and the young intelligent one in the McDonnell shirt did a fist pump and hushed, "Yes".

The news is that the polls were not so busy. Not like last year was the refrain. Oh yes, last year when suddenly I discovered that the "demographics" of my neighborhood was not what I had thought for the last 8 years. Last eyar when contrary to the DC trend of single person households we suddenly discovered that every auntee, cousin, niece, nephew, and assorted brothers and sisters had moved into a two bedroom townhouse. To be sure voter last year in the Commonwealth, voter fraud was alive and well and I was amazed I was living in a 60-70% minority neighborhood. Now 12 months later it seems these folks decided they didn't like the Commonwealth so much after all and have relocated back to DC, Maryland, New York, Delaware, and places deeply blue. Thankfully it didn't require much effort on their part, not a moving van or box required, I'm sure they didn't even need a suitcase.

So I have mixed feelings about a national voter database and identification. I am starting to think that voting for national elections should all be electronic over the internet into a national database. We could still go to polling places, but the machines would all be connected to the internet. We could vote using our social security numbers.

MI, why? With a graph like this -- "The White House suggested those developments show that hard-liners are taking over the Republican Party, and the trend will affect the 2010 elections. On Monday, presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs predicted, "This is a model for what you'll see throughout the country."

The press is going to try and gin this as 'oh those poor Reps. They are being raped to the right, and they were developing such a moderate streak.' This is nothing but a faint attempt at slap at the conservatives and attempting to further brand the GOP as unsuitable as a consequence.

Have none of it.

303.From CNS News:

“Republican Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah, who has served in the Senate for 33 years and is a longtime member of the Judiciary Committee, told CNSNews.com that he does not believe the Democrats’ health-care reform plan is constitutionally justifiable, noting that if the federal government can force Americans to buy health insurance “then there is literally nothing the federal government can’t force us to do.”
