Obama cannot state the obvious about certain islamic terrorists but cannot wait to send you to jail for not buying his CrappyCare government run health insurance:

    http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2009/11/interview-with-the-president-jail-time-for-those-without-health-care-insurance.html

During an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Jake Tapper today, President Obama said that penalties are appropriate for people who try to “free ride” the health care system but stopped short of endorsing the threat of jail time for those who refuse to pay a fine for not having insurance.

“What I think is appropriate is that in the same way that everybody has to get auto insurance and if you don’t, you’re subject to some penalty, that in this situation, if you have the ability to buy insurance, it’s affordable and you choose not to do so, forcing you and me and everybody else to subsidize you, you know, there’s a thousand dollar hidden tax that families all across America are — are burdened by because of the fact that people don’t have health insurance, you know, there’s nothing wrong with a penalty.”

Obama: ““What I think is appropriate is that in the same way that everybody has to get auto insurance and if you don’t, you’re subject to some penalty,”

REALLY? even people that don’t drive, Barry? And when people DO drive and secure auto insurance, the CITIZEN gets to to decide what kind of coverage…how much deductible…whether to get collision, etc.

Gee Barry…that sounds like the FREE MARKET System!

Lawd- I got this same argument the other night. Homeowners and auto insurance being put on the same level as this bs scheme O has unconstitutionally thrust upon the American people. NO one is making you buy a house or car, so if you are not in possession of said house or car, no insurance payment legally needs to be made by you. Not even the same a little bit.

When he says the Federal Gov forcing you to buy Health Ins is comparable to the states requiring you to buy Auto Ins. well, guess what?

First off, there’s a difference between the State Gov & the Federal Gov. You are not required by the Federal Gov to buy Auto Ins. And each & every individual in a state is NOT required to buy Auto Ins. You’re only told to buy Auto Ins if you own a vehicle. And you aren’t required by your state to even buy Auto Ins if you don’t drive the vehicle on public roads.

This is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT situation than the Federal Gov forcing each individual to buy Health Ins. You’ll have to buy Health Ins if you breathe! There will be nowhere you can go and nothing you can do to escape it. You’re trapped, you’re FORCED. And remember anytime someone forces you to do anything it is a takeover. It’s a total takeover of you!

#8 Because the second amendment says I have an individual right to own a gun…..

The U.S. Constitution doesnt mention autos and therefore they are regulated by the states under the 10th amendment…..

Moonbats are noted for their lunacy not their logic….great example here!

My question is, why not simply block the vote to open debate if Liberman or another clown will help them filibuster?????

John Stosel rips CrappyCare a new one:

“Proponents of so-called reform — it’s not really reform unless it makes things better — have shamefully avoided criticism of their proposals. Often they just dismiss their opponents as greedy corporate apologists or paranoid right-wing loonies. That’s easier than answering questions like these:

    1) How can the government subsidize the purchase of medical services without driving up prices? Econ 101 teaches — without controversy — that when demand goes up, if other things remain equal, price goes up. The politicians want to have their cake and eat it, too.

    2) How can the government promise lower medical costs without restricting choices? Medicare already does that. Once the planners’ mandatory insurance pushes prices to new heights, they must put even tougher limits on what we may buy — or their budget will be even deeper in the red than it already is. As economist Thomas Sowell points out, government cannot really reduce costs. All it can do is disguise and shift costs (through taxation) and refuse to pay for some services (rationing).

    3) How does government “create choice” by imposing uniformity on insurers? Uniformity limits choice. Under House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s bill and the Senate versions, government would dictate to all insurers what their “minimum” coverage policy must include. Truly basic high-deductible, low-cost catastrophic policies tailored to individual needs would be forbidden.

    4) How does it “create choice” by making insurance companies compete against a privileged government-sponsored program? The so-called government option, let’s call it Fannie Med, would have implicit government backing and therefore little market discipline. The resulting environment of conformity and government power is not what I mean by choice and competition. Rep. Barney Frank is at least honest enough to say that the public option will bring us a government monopoly.

Advocates of government control want you to believe that the serious shortcomings of our medical and insurance system are failures of the free market. But that’s impossible because our market is not free. Each state operates a cozy medical and insurance cartel that restricts competition through licensing and keeps prices higher than they would be in a genuine free market. But the planners won’t talk about that. After all, if government is the problem in the first place, how can they justify a government takeover?”

Some great ???s here for your local trolls. He defitinely pegs their typical “argruements” correctly – call names and find a “villian” to rant about!

WEC, not to rip your argument, its a good one, but in many States you don’t really have to buy insurance. Many States permit one to post a bond equivalent to the value of what is the bodily injury minimum for that State. Individuals don’t do it as the premium costs are lower than a single bond. But many businesses who must have various bonds to be permitted to operate, this is cost effective. They can post a single ‘highest level required’ bond and apply it to all the various licensing requirements. Logic being that attachments to the bond would likely be only for a single incident.

DoJ giveth back, Beck taketh away. Is this a great country or what? Walprin, the IG of Americorps has been cleared of any wrong doing. So he is fighting for his reinstatement. Obammy’s nuts are on the anvil. Then Beck sinks Dunn. Man I have to say Alinsky’s rules work wonders.

Walprin gets his job back Americorps is going to be in a world of hurt. He too will be after scalps and no one, not even the WH will be powerful enough to stop him.

    Dear Diary,
In the last two days I’ve really had it with this dipchit in the WH, I can’t stand to even see his photo let alone video of him on tv, and the sound of his voice now grates on my worse then the hildabest or madalineImnotsobright. I supposed this is how the moonbats felt for 8 years in some ways though of course I believe my view is at least a bit more justified. I fear it’s going to be a bit of a challenge to keep my sanity if the collective chit of the last 12 months keeps up. I’m only partially joking. Now I lay me down to sleep, hopefully to have dreams of the freedoms we might keep.
