Bankruptcy!

But don’t worry, New Yorkers, your representatives are working now on a bill to legalize gay marriage!

First things first, after all…

    I can’t beleive that I am saying this, but I am watching Dennis Kucinnish on Greta and I am actually agreeing with him on one point. He is ripping apart the Individual Mandates as a huge scam and payoff for the insurance companies….

    He goes off the deep end about having single payer or a “robust” government option…..but he is pushing his amendment about allowing states to keep or impose state single payer plans….and actually kind of okay with that too – thats why we have Federalism, if certain states (think MA and ME) want to ruin their HC and bankrupt there states at least the people who want no part of that can move to a “free state”……come to think of it, its kind of lining up that way again lol we have “free states” that are socialist and “21st century slave states” were everyone in the private sector work to support the unions, state government, moochers, and liberal politicians

    Patterson – just ask yourself “WWAD?” What would Ahhnuld do? Or – if he’s not the best example – WWGD – what would Geithner do?

    Random-
    MS laid off 800 more last week, completing for now their planned layoffs of 5000, that turned into 5800 since January.

    Got me curious,remember the president and the comments about Caterpillar?

    Published : Monday, 26 Oct 2009, 12:21 PM EDT
    PEORIA, Ill. (AP) – Caterpillar Inc., the world’s largest maker of mining and construction equipment, says about 2,500 laid-off employees will be permanently cut from the company and 550 others will be brought back to work by the end of next year. 18,700 employees have been laid off worldwide by caterpillar since late 2008.

    Another 2500 down the tubes permanently, and another 550 for at least another year, I seem to recall captain bullsh1t prognosticating such was going to be averted by the magical stimulus. Who wants to bet the 550 later are some how counted as created by the stimulus heading into the next election day?

    Well if we are talking layoffs –

    * EA is announcing a 1500 headcount reduction.
    * Pfizer, has announced a 15% reduction.
    * Sprint to layoff 2500.
    * Nortel announced cuts, number not known.
    * Sac Bee cuts 128 from firm.
    * Johnson & Johnson to cut 8200.
    * Real Networks to cut 130.
    * Time-Warner to cut ~5% from payroll.

    All these entries I found in Google News from Oct 30 forward. So some 10-15k have been targeted in a short period of time.

    Just 4% say most politicians keep their campaign promises — Rasmussen Link

    Ironically 4% is how much the public trusts the MSM to be truthful too. It seems politicians and the press have a lot in common!
