The Honduran Alinsky Policy

Once again we see the Obama modus operandi; the guiding principle to his policy and personnel is what or who is useful to Obama.  (Remember all those posts I’ve done on  Alinsky?)

Ed Morrissey is now asking: Did Obama throw Zelaya under the bus?

After successfully imposing American will on Honduras to return Manuel Zelaya to the presidency, the Obama administration apparently reversed course and told the Hondurans that we would recognize their elections this month whether Zelaya was back in office or not.  Zelaya sent a plaintive request for clarification from underneath the bus

I’ve been following the back and forth on Honduras at La Gringa’s Blogicito.  She has video from CNN (Español) and writes:

…you will hear US Assistant Secretary of State Thomas Shannon clarify that the restoration of Zelaya to the presidency is not guaranteed by the Guaymuras-Tegucigalpa-San José Accord and that it is a decision to be made by the Honduran National Congress. He states that installation of the National Unity Government is a separate matter from the restitution. He also states that the US and the OAS will accompany Honduras to their elections.

Shannon denies both media reports about deals with Zelaya and presidential candidate Pepe Lobo. He qualifies them as “lies”.

Shannon confirms that both leaders took a risk in signing the Accord but they must accept the results of the Congressional vote….

This interview upset Zelaya tremendously and he sent a letter to Hillary Clinton asking for a clarification of the US position. The letter accuses Washington of not respecting the Accord.

Zelaya and his supporters have been spreading the disinformation that the Accord requires the restoration of Zelaya to the presidency by November 5.

No honor among thieves is a nice reductive statement of Alinsky main points, don’t you think?

Well, some days it seems like there’s nothing and other days a lot of things break. I’ve been waiting to get something definitive on Honduras.

HAHAHA the only question is what took him so long to throw him back under the bus where he belongs?

Interesting that the WH hasn’t really announced this decision, just letting it quietly go away, knowing the media would not touch it. Wonder if Greta will have Bolton on and do an update.

Few deserve more of a bus throwing than Zelaya. This is accidental justice? Let’s hope so.
