“He was guilty of nothing, except that he earned his own fortune and never forgot that it was his.“ The concept contained within that phrase is what has set America apart, and made her the greatest nation on Earth. And it is the systematic attack on that concept, that this website is dedicated to fighting. This website is NOT devoted to making people “wealthy”, but rather to fighting the notion that the “wealth” they DO have needs to be “redistributed”.

I am working on a new article called the “The 10 Most Destructive Effects of CrappyCare”……this one merits serious inclusion!
Just a couple of quick points – the GOP in the Senate and in general HAD BETTER be serious and play hardball to kill off CrappyCare! I agree with the poster who earlier said that he would never donate nor have anything to do with the GOP if they allow it to pass – I concur with that in so much as I am done with the establishment R types (I may support Rubio type “insurgent” GOPers). Bottomline is I have heard far too much talk here on HHR and other conservative media outlets that if CrappyCare passes “the GOP will win huge and then repeal it in 10, 12 etc”. Simply put, thats dangerous BS – the power grab is so far reaching and the dependency so vast it will never be undone – this is HISTORICAL FACT. The GOP may win in 10 and 12 but after that you will have no hope of conservative government again.
Finally, everyone needs to realize that the so-called “government option” is NOT what makes CrappyCare a government takeover!
The combination of expansions of government agencies, regulatory control, subsidies, mandates, and taxes makes it government run.
Just because they allow a supposedly “private” health insurance company to collect the taxes (still called premiums to make you feel better) and pay the bills/ration the care for the beaurcrats and the Feds allow them to make a controlled level of profit for the service DOES NOT change the fact the government run things. They just play games with the names to make suckers feel better but essentially Health Insurance companies and medical providers will be so regulated and controlled they will effectively be quasi-private medical welfare agencies.
In fact, its very very insidous as government rationing and taxes will now be hidden because they will be administered by so-called “private” companies so that the politicians and the regulators will escape blame when its government intervention that is actually causing the problems!
No, CrappyCare must die as quickly as possible because it is the RIGHT thing to do in a compassionate, free and independent society!
Four very interesting thing in polls today from my take on them.
1. Rasmussen has the president down to 46%. He has been this low before but with a three day average he must have polled in the low 40’s for the last day.
2. Rasmussen has Obama’s total disapproval at 53%. The highest number yet.
3. Gallop has Republicans with a +4 in the generic ballot question. the first time in a long time that Gallop has a Rep lead.
4. AP has the highest number during Obama’s presidency that say the country is headed in the wrong direction. Which usually is a preclude to approval ratings later on.
The Tuscon Teas have already tipped the local city council and got one of them thrown out office. They already have their eyes on two more Dims for next year.
You’re right INC. I don’t get into “real” literature much. I try to stay abreast with important authors like Levin, Beck and soon Palin. But, the simple fact is that I am so absorbed by family activities, sports, politics and marketing that it doesn’t leave time for much else. I enjoy studying the strategy behind why a product is moving much more than reading serious literature. But, that’s me.

I just wish the damn Brits would learn how to spell.
[5]
bc, you just don’t read enough books by British authors!
My daughter and I have read so many that British spelling looks correct and normal to us now!
It’s certainly more colourful! Dorothy Sayers is always a favourite read. I enjoy her dialogue as well as her skilful plot manoeuvres.

And Rasmussen has the Rep lead of +6 on the generic ballot – the highest they ahve seen in years.

MIC
Stall stall stall and his numbers will get lower and lower and lower as will the odds of HellCare ever passing
