Can it be that real unemployment has never gotten much below 8% this past decade?
Back during the amnesty debate of 2006 and 2007, the Bush people used to say that we needed the illegals because the US had full employment and still needed more workers.
Of course anyone with a brain knew this was a lie, and I used to read economists who said the actual unemployment rate was not 4.5% in 2007, but more likely 5.5-6%, and thus amnesty was displacing American workers who could have had these jobs.
According to Williams, the actual rate was not 6% but 8%, and that is truly scary. I wonder if it’s true?
He’s got it at nearly 12% in 1994, whereas the US gov figure was 6.3%, and that was the first year they officially split U3 and U6, according to this guy at Redstate……
