“He was guilty of nothing, except that he earned his own fortune and never forgot that it was his.“ The concept contained within that phrase is what has set America apart, and made her the greatest nation on Earth. And it is the systematic attack on that concept, that this website is dedicated to fighting. This website is NOT devoted to making people “wealthy”, but rather to fighting the notion that the “wealth” they DO have needs to be “redistributed”.
I suspect Murtha will be buried at Arlington with military honors. Lots of questions coming up:
Will we see the limp-wristed Kerry salute his coffin? How about Obama, has somebody taught him how to salute with the correct hand? Since Murtha retired as a “colonel”, somebody better teach Obama how to pronounce it.
Since Murha was in military intelligence has anybody ever asked him if he tortured prisoners in order to save American lives or to protect American assets? Will the far left spit on his grave? After all, he was a soldier in the Viet Nam war, a no doubt a fine soldier.
I believe this can be a definite pickup for the GOP in November. This is a socially conservative area, but when the pork keeps coming, why fire the butcher?
I regret that John Murtha did not live long enough to regret his accusations at least in the form of losing his seat in The People’s retribution.
In light of Teddy’s death, all the sandals being uncovered and resignations, and now this, I have to wonder if there is not a retribution coming down from somewhere else. (Or maybe Hell is feeling a little too much competition from DC ) I doubt that Nancy Pelosi has a God fearing bone in her body, but I sure hope it made her shutter anyway!
McCain carried 8 of the 9 counties that Murtha represented. Allegheny County was won by Obama by about 100,000 (Pittsburgh area), supposedly the district is competitive but no one has really come close to Murtha. Wasn’t there an iraq war vet running as the Rep?
I had a feeling that somehing was serious with John murtha’s illness last Friday. I donated to William Russell back in Nov and unlike other candidates, I have received a weekly plea for more funds from him. In fact, I haven’t heard from him at all until last Friday when he sent out the following email, which did not ask for a contribution or seem specifically aimes at any action in particular:
Friend —
The Capitol will be buried in snow this weekend, but it may not be enough to enough to stop a weekend play to slide a thin slice of the healthcare bill through the House later today.
Instead of forcing a vote on the entire Obamacare Plan, Nancy Pelosi wants to ship the bill to the Senate in edible pieces. A great strategy – controversy by the spoonful, not the shovel!
While the strategy doesn’t appear to have support outside of the House Democrats, it represents the kind of blind allegiance their leadership has to MoveOn, MSNBC and the political left. Instead of reading the results from Virginia, New Jersey and Massachusetts as a warning volley against liberal policies – House Democrats have their pedal to the metal!
Let’s keep up the fight against Washington’s fast march toward socialized healthcare. We can stop this, but it will require all of us to stop, look and listen when the House is in session.
Stay warm and drive safe this weekend. If you’ve haven’t signed up on the website to circulate a nominating petition in the 12 Congressional District, please enlist now. I could really use your help.
For the fight!

P.S. While Mr. Murtha and I are political combatants in every sense, our family and campaign team asks you to keep Jack and Joyce in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy and full recovery.
and I received this from the Russell campaign about an hour again:
RUSSELL ASKS FOR PRAYERS FOR MURTHA FAMILY
Announces a Moratorium on Campaign Media Efforts
(JOHNSTOWN, PA) – Responding to the sudden and unfortunate announcement of the death of Rep. John Murtha (D-PA-12th), GOP challenger William Russell has asked all citizens, Republicans, Democrats and Independents to come together and pray for Joyce and the Murtha family as they deal with the tragic loss of husband, father and grandfather. “While Mr. Murtha and I were political combatants in every sense, our family and campaign team asks you to keep the Murtha family in your thoughts and prayers,” said Russell. “Regardless of your political position, you always knew Jack had an immense love and loyalty to his family and the residents of the 12th Congressional District.
The Russell campaign is immediately initiating a moratorium on all political media activity for the next five days in respect of the passing of John Murtha. The campaign will also remove all political references to Mr. Murtha on the Russellbrigade.com website immediately.
It is the wish of the William Russell for Congress Committee, that the passing of Mr. Murtha be treated with the utmost respect and decency by all, especially in the media and weblogs.
Supposedly 15,000 turned out. The place was rocking.
Palin spoke before 6,000 at the Chamber of Commerce dinner in Salina, KS Friday, the Tea Party Convention Saturday and the Rick Perry Rally Sunday.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. —
The keynote speaker at the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce annual dinner meeting is drawing so much attention that the group is moving the meeting to a bigger venue.
Former Governor of Alaska and Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is expected to draw a large crowd at the Feb. 15 event.
The chamber is moving the dinner from the Hilton Oceanfront hotel to the Ocean Center, a convention destination.
Ticket sales to date are 64 percent higher than last year’s sales.

Not too bad for a washed up quitter with no future.
Out of respect, and as asked by Bill Russell, I will not mention that Jack Murtha was considered one of the top 20 corrupt politicians in America taking bribes, making false accusations and getting earmarks for useless projects (According to Citizens for Ethics).
I might mention it after the 5 day waiting period.
In today’s Gallup, Obama’s approval rating is 51 (up 3) and his disaspproval reting is 41 (down 2). Yet Gallup writes:
President Obama’s job approval rating on the economy (36%) is at its lowest point to date; his rating on foreign affairs (51%) is up slightly from last month. Americans give Obama his highest rating on education (54%), and his lowest on the deficit (32%).
Gallup must have hired the man/woman that calculated the January BLS percentage down .3 with 20,000 more unemployed.
You know Eph it would make an interesting prop for Palin. She could do a ’speak to the hand’ series. Would be especially powerful where its a debate format. The trick would be to find a marker that by rubbing one’s hand’s together erases the palm clean.
Write a note, wave your hand, rub, rub, repeat and rinse. It would drive opponents nuts.
Ras had a 3 point decrease in a day and Gallop had a 3 point gain in one day.

Nothing here in Muskegon yet. It’s suppose to start overnight. I have to get out by Thursday and I’m hoping the flights can go Wed as scheduled. One of the players I interviewed was J. Warren Back who played and still lives in Dayton. He came back for a big reunion when the book came out. 125 pics in the book.
Muskegon has had about 200 players who went on to the NHL at one time or another.
Speaking of people dying, Brietbart has an AP story on AIDS in Uganda. Obama has decided not to renew the Bush plan for emergency AIDS treatment. Obama has decided that the money should be spent on prevention, so no new patients will be given treatment. Sound like death panels?
Uganda officials fear that now people will not get tested because no treatment is available so what’s the point. And that HIV strains may become drug resistent as current recepients share drugs with newly ill loved ones, not providing enough meds for either.
If this was Bush, the headline would read Bush hates black people in Uganda.
MFG – congrats on the Saints winning it all, (hope your head does not hurt too much from the post celebration).

As for Jack Murtha, God have mercy on your soul. Judas sold out the Lord for 30 pieces of silver, you sold out your country for a whole lot more. Hope it was worth it – NOT.
Judy, I wouldn’t trade you for snow for anything, but sometimes I do envy that at least you guys shut down for the snow. God is now providing the ultimate judgement of Jack Murtha…exactly as it should be. If God decides Murtha should RIP, then so be it.
During his life he did considerable damage to our Republic, and for that I continue to harbor considerable ill will towards him…as is my right.

Maybe he requested the 78 Haditha marines he accused of murder do the military honors for him.

early in his life he probably thought he was doing the right thing.
I really doubt that he could have possibly thought that recently, in the last couple years. I think he know what he was doing and why.

I will never forget his comments about those soldiers in Haditha. Thiswas the report at the time.
He stated, “that Marines had killed civilians in cold blood, because of the pressure. there was no firefight, there was no bomb…….”
Before any facts were in, before any marine had a court martial proceeding, these comments were made by Jack Murtha.
In my view, he will remain a stain on the military history of this country.

I suspect Murtha will be buried at Arlington with military honors. Lots of questions coming up:
