“He was guilty of nothing, except that he earned his own fortune and never forgot that it was his.“ The concept contained within that phrase is what has set America apart, and made her the greatest nation on Earth. And it is the systematic attack on that concept, that this website is dedicated to fighting. This website is NOT devoted to making people “wealthy”, but rather to fighting the notion that the “wealth” they DO have needs to be “redistributed”.
BTW- my hubby is making what we call “lava” burgers right now. The house smells awesome since he has the sliding door open. I am so thankful for a break in the rain!
p.s. the word is that New York Governor Patterson is gonna get scandal’ed out tomorrow! Had he polled better they would have kep the dirt hidden…but his poll numbers fell and it’s under the bus for him!!
JR….all those buses that Nagin didnt roll out in New Orleans during Katrina, they are being put to good use now as more and more have to be thrown under.
Well, they just signed Verlander for 5 years/$80 million. Putting that in perspective, Katie Douric makes $14 MM annually. I figured that on a weekly basis and it’s $270.000 a week. Verlander will make about $16 MM a year or about $300,000 a week. Rediculus salary, but I hope he helps the Tigers more that the “perky one” helped See-BS.
When I was a kid Al Kaline refused $100k a year. Said he wasn’t worth it.
Actually I think janzm, you, me, and Ghostofreason all picked the Saints, but no one got the final score right. I think you should give the award to MFG!
one more p.s… the A/P critiqued the Tim Tebow Super Bowl ad thusly:
“Heisman winner Tim Tebow and his mother talked about her difficult pregnancy with him and how she was advised to end the pregnancy“
A billion people watched the Super Bowl…and they all saw an ad which did NO SUCH THING
The A/P assumed the ad WOULD say that…wrote their story…AND RAN IT!
It was about the nicest thing I have seen on tv in a long time…….NOW and the MSM look like the pukes they are, as usual. We are winning, prayer is winning.
I also follow the Cubs. I lived in the Chicago suburbs and there’s nothing like a sunny summer day at Wrigley Field when the wind is blowing out. What really sucked were the donut (multi-purpose) stadiums that are now all gone (Atlanta, St. Louis, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia) although, as conservatives, we should have liked then as it eliminated the cost of two stadiums. For years most NFL teams played in Baseball Stadiums:
- Lions – Tiger Stadium
- Bears – Wrigley Field
- Chicago Cardinals – Comiskey Park
- Redskins – Griffith Park/RFK Stadium
- Steelers – Forbes Field
- Browns – Municipal Stadium
- Baltimore Colts – Memorial Stadium
- Giants – Yankee Stadium
If I were a card carrying Democrat I might at this point be asking — Does anybody vett these people? People? It seems appropriate that he withdrew his nomination in a bar. Such class.
I miss the old Busch Stadium, even though it’s understandable why it could no longer be maintained. That stadium had crowd intimacy that you just can;t quite recapture at the new ballpark.
Oh, well, at least my Cards won the Series once already inm the new park.
And we’ll keep Mr.Albert Pujols happy and a Cardinal as long as we can!

Election Countdown
Next Presidential Election: in 2 years, 7 months, 27 days
[1]
Behold–an anti woman Democrat
[2]
Is it baseball season yet????????
[3]
Is he gunning for a position in the Obama administration? If he can throw “tax cheat” into the mix, he’s golden……
[4]
Who’s your baseball team, EPH
I follow the Cardinals
[5]
Being x-cali, besides the Chargers, I follow the Dodgers and Lakers.
[6]
Too bad the Illinois thing came out so soon (instead of an “October Surprise.”
[7]
Living in AZ of course I follow the Dodgers! LOL
But I root for the Cards too.
In fact I’m picking the Cards vs. Yanks in the WS
[8]
We are a basketball only household (and that is more my doing than his). Well, basketball and the X-games. My girlfriends are jealous I tell ya.
[9]
i don’t have a favorite baseball team.
[10]
October surprises are a thing of the past. With the internet and cable news, the best that could be hoped for is a weekend before election surprise.
[11]

I love the fact that the Democrat gangsta Lt. Governor wannabe announced his withdrawal from the race at a SALOON! It’s Chicago BayBee!

p.s. the word is that New York Governor Patterson is gonna get scandal’ed out tomorrow! Had he polled better they would have kep the dirt hidden…but his poll numbers fell and it’s under the bus for him!!

Not necessary. You earned that one.

[39]
Yeah, MFG deserves the winning cup. I know the feeling he must have waiting eons for this. I’ll put a blue ribbon on the wall and call it a day.
