Obama Endorses Immigration Blueprint

Don’t concentrate on on the Hummer (Health Care) trying to run you down so much that you lose sight of the semi that’s about to squish you into the pavement.

President Obama on Thursday gave a thumbs-up to the framework of a plan to legalize illegal immigrants and create a flow of low-skilled foreign workers for the future, saying the bill being worked on by a Republican lawmaker and his Democrat counterpart is “promising.”

The long-awaited framework, written by Sens. Charles E. Schumer, New York Democrat, and Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Republican, calls for illegal immigrants to be put on a path to citizenship and would create a temporary program for future foreign workers. Maybe most contentious of all, it would turn all Social Security cards into tamper-proof IDs.

“I congratulate Senators Schumer and Graham for their leadership, and pledge to do everything in my power to forge a bipartisan consensus this year on this important issue so we can continue to move forward on comprehensive immigration reform,” Mr. Obama said in a statement soon after the two senators published their framework on The Washington Post’s Web site.

The senators said their legalization approach would be a “tough but fair” program that would require illegal immigrants to admit they broke the law and make them perform community service and pay a fine.

Washington had Benedict Arnold, Republicans have Lucy Graham. At least Arnold wasn’t “light in the loafers.”

How the people of South Carolina could have reelected this flaming fruitcake is beyond me.

Well if somebody is willing to pay airfare, there is a solution to Senator Lucy. —

In a bizarre twist on the internet suicide pacts that first emerged in Japan in 2003, the Japanese appear to be turning to the web to recruit hitmen, according to statistics published today.

Illegal and ‘harmful’ online postings leapt by more than a half in 2009, according to local web watchdog, the Internet Hotline Center. The ‘harmful’ postings, which included contrct killings, and groups or individuals seeking suicide partners, rose by two pecent to 6,217 cases. Illegal traffic considered dangerous society, including child pornography, increased to 33,968 from just over 20,000 the previous year.

Problem for her is, I have the web address for the hitman, she doesn’t. And I have a fair idea where it lives here in DFW. 🙂

2 – Make you a bet that if the lucy pushed this the R do not take back the house, and it costs us a close senate race or two.

9 – It’s not going to get that big a turn out I don’t think with like 3-4 days notice, that said they could maybe pull in 10-20k or so and that’s enough to get noticed, on fox anyway.

This would funnier if the man in question, Joe Eff’ing Biden, wasn’t next in line to be President! He already insulted the Prime Minister of Ireland today…so for a follow-up he says this:

Jake Tapper: When you talked to these members of Congress, you told me what you tell them. What do you hear back from them? Do you hear back from venerable members who are worried this bill will cost them their jobs?
Joe Eff’ing Biden: Well, I, yes. Some of them I say, they say, well, Joe, look, man, I mean, you know, you guys haven’t massaged this very well. And, you know, this thing has gone on so long, I don’t know. And my response is, hey, man, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. I’m telling you, you know, pre-existing, they’re going to be covered. You know we’re going to control the insurance companies. You know people aren’t going to lose their health care with their employer like is being advertised. So you’ve got to if you really want to make sure that you get the benefit of what you’ve already done, vote for the bill.

Makes me wanna pray for Obama!
