2010 September 22
by justrand

If you can’t donate any more money…donate time! Here’s the link to the 50 folks the Nationwide Tea Party Coalition is recommending for election day support: 50 Contests for Election Day!

I haven’t vetted ’em all…but I recognize most as good people worthy of our support.

I intend to make calls for some of these on election day!!

November 2nd…or else.

I think John Dennis against Pelosi in Nutville is wishful thinking, but I will gladly eat my words if I am wrong 🙂

Pelosi can stay as long as we get 60 plus.

It will be entertaining to jerk her around for a couple of years.

She will not hang around to become the laughing stock (actually, she already is) of the Congress.

The end of the world is at hand!!!

The Sean Bielat campaign has declared themselves within reach of unseating Barney Frank in Massachusetts’ 4th CD, one of the presumed safest districts for Democrats in the nation. The poll, conducted for the campaign by OnMessage, shows Frank falling below the 50% mark despite the D+14 composition of his constituency. Bielat comes within nine points, even though the poll shows that he still badly trails in name recognition.

In this target rich environment, even at $12 per URL, this could get expensive really quick. I’ve already found dozens today that are up for grabs. Seriously, my total investment for murkwski was less than $35 all in. Considering the 48 hour thrill ride, unbelievably cheap entertainment!

There once was a bastardo named publius,

But his goals were always salubrious.

California is such a disaster….4 seats from a supermajority in the House, and Jerry Brown as the likely governor. Hey, repeal prop 13 and watch the earthquake we’ve all been waiting for.

However, I loved the cow video in the other thread that IP posted. I kinda thought it was the Hope & Change express with the Obama voters as the cow. The last thought that the cow was thinking: “Is this my new reality?”

    Comment seen on another blog:

Obama distrusts and/or despises the U.S. military, so he takes a job as Commander-in-Chief when two wars are ongoing.

Obama has little positive to say about America, so he takes a job where he is the Head of State of a nation he largely abhors.

Obama despises capitalism so he leads a nation that has a reputation as a paragon of capitalism and which built its prosperity on this economic system.

Obama, who perceives himself as black, is an academic racialist and sometime racist who wants to lead a nation that is two-thirds white.

Obama, who believes Western Civilization is ultimately the cause of all that is ill in the world, takes a job as chief executive of the nation that is preeminent in the Western world.

Obama, who is neither Christian nor Muslim and who attended an anti-Semitic church for 20 years, wants to lead a nation whose citizens are mostly Christian and whose history is steeped deeply with Judeo-Christian sensibilities.

Obama is thin-skinned and overly sensitive to criticism, so he takes a job where he is criticized every minute of every single day, all across the world, for some reason or another. Much of the criticism is ill-informed, but some of it is well-informed and cuts right to the bone.

    What could possibly go wrong?

  47. 2010 September 22 10:50 pm

36 – Correct, and CT progress seems stalled atm.

    Effectively in the bag:

All our holds are looking good (or better) as well.

Dreaming about barney frank losing this would be fun, but seems unlikely even in this environment, his district is gerrymandered to the hill. He could get caught snorting coke off a dead boy’s arse on video and still be polling even with his challenger.

The one thing that occurs to me about some of these “safe” races for the Dems, like Barney Frank, is they really don’t have the infrastructure in place to do the whole “if needed” GOTV push in those districts, mainly because they have never needed it. The best analogy I can think of is – You don’t need to install a deadbolt lock on your front door if there is no crime in your town. There is no failsafe mechanism in place to withstand an unexpected surge from conservatives. Not saying it’s going to make a difference, just something to think about. Some of these “safe” seats, may be more competitive than anyone realizes.

  56. 2010 September 23 5:35 am

    Police do care:

I get irritated when people come down on our police officers, saying that they don’t care. Well, here is a story that shows not all cops are in that category.

The Joplin , Mo. , Police Department reported finding a man’s body last Saturday in the Spring River near the Empire Electric Plant. The dead man’s name would not be released until his family had been notified. The victim apparently drowned due to excessive beer consumption while visiting “someone” in Riverton , KS . He was wearing black fishnet stockings, a red garter belt, a pink G-string, purple lipstick, and an Obama T-shirt.

The police removed the Obama T-shirt to spare his family any unnecessary embarrassment.

IP, like you I appreciate the compassion of the Joplin police. All the other aspects of his attire and lifestyle can be forgiven as “youthful indiscretions”…but an OBAMA t-shirt??? Thank God his family was spared that.
