But No Other Choice, Redux

Another Palin piece? Hey, why not. Actually I want to expand on a thread that Retlaw, and BC commented on last night. But I warn you this is such a long shot that it might as well be an interesting mind game. The reason is in the 250+ years of the Republic we have never had it happen. So here goes —

Its mid 2012, Palin has just won the Florida and Texas primaries and is up by 20+ delegates against Romney. By error a memo is leaked from the RNC that ‘the establishment’ will initiate a floor fight at the convention against Palin. Palin is able to substantiate the veracity of the contents and the author. The week following the leak Palin announces she will mount an independent campaign. As an independent she goes on to best the GOP challenger in CA, WA, AK, HI, MT, ID.

Past November 2nd, the popular vote placement is Romney, Palin, Obama. The EV counts are 201, 150, 187 respectively. No one reaches the magic 271. The Electoral College remains dead locked. Romney offers the VP slot to Palin who now is in no mood for it. Why? Because the Democrats are in no mood for a GOPer to be in the Oval Office. Palin is offered a deal, compliments of the Rider of the Blue Dress, accept Hillary as VP and we will get Obama’s EV’s for you.

Let it be written, let it be done.

Yes it is definitely Twilight Zone material. It would probably be tough for Palin to consider the split once she committed to the GOP primary process. But the right trigger event might tick her off enough to just go for it. Much of the rest would be determined by as much as when such an event would occur as the players involved. But there is nothing in the law that says it couldn’t happen.

Not sure about Kyl on two counts:

I don’t know what to say, actually, Dr. Dog. I hope the process is much smoother than that, because if it would fall out like your scenario, then we will have another round of fights for the duration of the administration that questions the legitimacy of the president. And this time, perhaps outside nations might concur with the nutjobs…too frightening to think about…

I do expect there to be constitutional crisis’ in our future, but I hope this isn’t one of them. We’ve seen how the Dems deal with constitutional affairs as it is. They won’t care one shred about following ‘the rules.’ And as mentioned on the last thread, there are plenty of Repubs who don’t care about it either.

At this point the only way the RINOs and conservatives help each other out is a Palin/Romney type ticket.

Otherwise the vote is going to get split in 2012.

On the day before Thanksgiving, the timing of this is suspect, but the DOJ voter intimidation interim report has been issued by the bi-partisan US Commission on Civil Rights.

Others are saying (I haven’t read it yet, but page 85 looks interesting) the report indicates the DOJ did attempt a cover up and suggests the White House may have been directly implicated in this cover up.

With Palin/Pawlenty the traditional roles will need to be revised. The VP is usually the attack dog. Pawlenty as an attack dog. ROFL. And, Palin is so laid back and shy.

Seriously, Sarah relishes kicking butt and she has enough testosterone for both of them.

Senator Kyl Gets A 200 Million Dollar Earmark

Ugh! Stop! Stop! Stop! The bastards couldn’t even wait three days. And Kyl supposed to be one of the good guys when it comes to earmarks. Yeah, it is supposedly for a “settlement” that will save the government money down the line, but if it is such a good idea then put it in a separate bill and vote it up or down. This stuffing of unrelated crap into bills must stop.

I’m PO’d. This kind of crap totally undermines the GOP and the voting public would be right to think they just returned to their old ways of feeding at the trough. I’m “this” close to renouncing all hope in the GOP and tuning everything out. I simply can’t handle politics anymore. The bastards are too corrupt.

This shows that there is not a spit’s worth of difference between the GOP and the Democrat Party.

The Democrats will tell you that they look out for the little guy and they will tax the rich guys. The Democrats will tell you that they know what is best for you and the country. And then go ahead and play nanny to you.

The Republicans talk a good game about the individual and less government. That they will rein in government (amazing how it grows larger & faster under the GOP) and cut taxes. It is they the GOP elites who know how to do this, none of these average tea party types need apply (they did not go to the right schools, come from the right backgrounds, etc).

Same result different party. Both grow government, both believe that only THEY know how to run government, both believe that they are the smartest and best. The rest of you riff raft (both Democrat & Republican members) need not apply. You just are not good enough and not smart enough to know it.

This is where Glenn Beck is right in that the progressive elites are running both parties in a rigged game.

No more, time to show the elites the door. If this means burning down the GOP, so be it. If it means 3rd party, so be it. Looks more and more like 2012 will be the time to leave the GOP (hello WHIG Party) and start a new party without these nimrods.

Pie is in the oven as I type this.

If I fly next time, I fully expect I will refuse the detector. So after they go for the junk, I’ll just start moaning and have this pleasured look on my face. That ought to stop most of them in their tracks.

Remember the movie “Little Shop of Horrors”? How the masochistic dental patient (Bill Murry) drove the sadistic dentist (Steve Martin) crazy.

Wishing a blessed, peaceful, enjoyable, safe and happy Thanksgiving to all of you here at BJG.

Asking for you all to keep my 30 year old son (and rest of us) in your prayers. He burned his had badly at his night shift at his manufacturing plant (hot glue, as hot as 400 degrees). Taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins from our local hosp. to Hopkins. He bandaged it himself and finished the last 4 hours of his shift, and GF forced him to go to the local hosp. for medical attention at 3 A.M. Mrs. Retlaw and son’s GF and I drove the 80 miles down to Baltimore .

Med people giving doses of morphine, but son is still in a lot of pain.

2nd and 3rd degree burns to right hand. Apparently no nerve damage. Don’t know whether or not will need skin grafts. His main worry is not being able to work (had signed up to work W, Th, F, and Sat), giving up valuable overtime, why did this happen to him when he is trying so hard to do good things, and other such things.

    PRAYERS NEEDED. Thanks.
