Can Michigan Save the Country from Romney?

2012 February 28
by bc3b

Michigan tries to do its part by supplying the country with everything from automobiles to cereal … from appliances to beautiful women. Our Senators suck, but 9 of 15 (soon to be 9 of 14) U.S. Rresentatives are Republicans. The state has a Republican governor (albeit a RINO). The GOP controls both houses of the state legislature, and every statewide office (which is why you not only are required to produce a photo ID to vote, but the poll workers even run it through an online card reader). Even the state Supreme Court is controlled by Republicans.

Pictured above are Miss Michigan and Miss Michigan USA.

Mark Levin was on fire tonight. He asked Romney supporters to call in and explain why they supported Romney. It took a few callers to slap them down that they needed to explain why they supported Romney without trashing another candidate.

I could not stop laughing at some of these idiots. The woman, or was it a man, said Romney was a winner. Did this person ever look at how many elections Romney has lost?

Levin made an excellent point. All of these folks rave about Romney’s business experience and Levin said there are liberal businessmen and conservative businessmen. “George Soros is a businessman”, a very successful one.

If business success is all that matters why not ask Warren Buffet or Bill Gates to be POTUS…. both are extremely successful businessmen.

If you get a chance listen to at least the 2nd hour podcast.

Levin said need to look at what Romney did as a governor to get an idea of whether he is a liberal businessman or a conservative one.

The areas where Romney is doing well are the urban and “gentrified” areas (the ones filled with yuppies – like Oakland, where I live). Romney also is doing well in the upscale Lake Michigan resort areas (around where the word “Wolverine” is on the map. Romney is also doing well in the areas with large universities (Lansing and Ann Arbor). Santorum is doing well in western Michigan and is winning Kent County (Grand Rapids) and Kalamazoo County, which has one of the state’s larger universities (Western Michigan).

Newt’s sugar daddy, Sheldon Adelson, is giving chicken feed (to him) to Newt, and will continue to do so. It’s not so much about Gingrich, or his chances to secure the nomination, but rather to show the whole field and any other observer that he is a player. It is all about Israel, and his fear for the Jewish state. Newt will stay in until the convention, as a result.

He is deathly afraid of losing U. S. support of Israel, and wants to be a factor in the back of anyone’s mind should they come to power. Adelson is worth $22 billion, and will spend whatever it takes to convince any and every politician in DC that Israel must never be abandoned.

“Not only did Christ and the giants of the Christian faith refuse to aggress against others, no matter how sinful or evil, they even refused to use violence in self-defense and instead chose martyrdom. When Peter tried to defend Jesus with the sword by cutting off the ear of a soldier, Jesus rebuked him and healed the man’s ear.

Jesus did not instruct the disciples to go to the wilderness and train for a few months so they could plan a stealth nighttime assassination of the guards who crucified Him or any who opposed the Way. He told them to forgive. To Baptize. To turn the other cheek. To submit even to death for the sake of the gospel, rather than resort to violence. That is a radical message and they lived it.

And yet the Church finds herself cheering for the military and honoring them without questioning what they are doing, who they are killing, why they are doing it, or if it’s right. Worship of America and the myth of its righteousness have taken the place of any sense of individual moral responsibility on the part of soldiers or those who support them.

I left church with an immense weight on my soul. I wept. I wept because I knew exactly the sentiment expressed by most of the churchgoers that morning. I used to share it. I wept as I remembered my bloodlust after 9/11. I wanted the United States military to kill people. I wanted bombs to drop and guns to fire. I wanted somebody to get it, good and hard. I wanted death. I wanted war. I did not want peace. I felt no love, only hate.

This impulse is the most human of all impulses. It is also the very impulse Christ taught us to overcome and demonstrated how to do so by His own example. Even when others hate, love”

Millions and millions of dollars and Romney still can’t break 41%…

Romney is such a flawed candidate and proved again he has a glass jaw

He will not attack Obama but will cry and poop his pants when the Chicago machine comes after him.

    115. What am I missing Dr, why would anyone be responsible for the pension costs of a ‘contractor’ in the typical sense?

Prediction: The same peep who don’t bother to check their mirrors will not bother to check the cam view, making the mandate next to pointless.

    KH,

If you remember back in the 60’s thru 80’s the DoD was doing cost plus contracts with firms. Part of the deal was that the govt covered those off balance sheet costs as part of the contracts.

    117,

Worse even. Most of the cars now equipped with visual touch systems have them as part of the entertainment system. They are located in the dash such that it take the drivers vision away from where they should be looking, even if backing up.

This is what passes for `pulse pounding reporting` at CNBC —

“Obama’s chances of winning in November increased to above 60 percent on Tuesday, up from about 50 percent at the beginning of the year, according to the odds on prediction market Intrade.com. ”

I can see Romney winning, but only because his opponent is so much worse. But we will have another Dim in the WH come 2016.

2014 should be a good year to pick up the senate votes needed to overturn obamycare, assuming a GOP pres.Perhaps it could even be overturned(by non appropriation) during a budget conference resolution with a simple majority.

-A strong, disciplined, well-funded ORGANIZATION may be the difference between Obama going back to Chicago or staying in Washington DC, come Jan 20, 2013. Hopefully we ALL agree it would be better to see him getting on a plane back to Chicago!
