Who Should Pay For Recreational Sex?

Contraception seems to be the only issue of importance these last couple of weeks.

Wonderful!!! Knowing that we can dedicate so much time and national interest to this subject means there are no more pressing problems.

I am so glad to know that Iran is no longer pursuing nuclear weapons and threatening to blow Israel off the face of the earth. link

Or, that Greece is no longer on fire with rioting socialists and has finally resolved its impossible to fulfill promises of full salary government pensions and retirement at age 50. (Maybe I should renounce my US citizenship and move to Greece after all I am past retirement age for the average Greek citizen)link

Or, that US labor participation rate has rebounded from Obama’s low of 58% to the 2000 level of 66% and that US unemployment/underemployment is back to the 5%-6% range.link link

I am so glad to hear that the Obama administration has finally presented a budget that is balanced and taken a serious and sober attack on the $5+ trillion of deficit he has accumulated during his first 3 years. link

So now that we no longer need discuss the unconstitutional actions of the Obama administration or the racist and murderous policies of Eric Holder and the Department of [no]Justice under his watch.link & reason #476 why Boehner must go

So with nothing more pressing to discuss, I’ll join the debate about contraception.

First, we must agree on a few BASIC TRUTHS before we proceed to our discussion.

(1) Contraception is used as a method to prevent pregnancy or as the death-eaters would have it stop a pregnancy before reach full gestation.

(2) Pregnancy, except through in vitro fertilization – in which case contraception is desired, can only occur during heterosexual intercourse. So a male and female must engage in sex in order for pregnancy to occur (excluding immaculate conceptions of course).

(3) When a male and female engage in intercourse while using contraceptives then they are engaging in intercourse for reasons other than procreation.

(4) Sex for purposes other than procreation is recreational. Sex with contraceptives is recreational. Now married couples and those in committed relationships no doubt have a million different reasons for having sex. However, at the core of every one is recreation.

(5) Those persons who are not married couples or in an adult committed relationship have ABSOLUTELY NO OTHER REASON for engaging in intercourse than recreation.

(6) Recreation is

1. something refreshing: something that refreshes, especially food and drink
2. act of refreshing: the process of refreshing somebody or something, or a refreshing quality in something

The key or core elements being that the activity is beneficial by way of being amusing, stimulating, refreshing, or relaxing in some form, either physical, mental, or the combination of the two ….. Recreation and leisure definitions, then, are at once established as containing the element of choice — either an activity or non-activity which deviates from the normal or routine structure of compulsory activity — and the element of satisfaction, by way of some attribute which the individual finds positive or pleasing.

Obama wants contraception to be provided to women for free. Warning: Author assumes no responsibility for vomit soiled carpets or smashed computers that may result from viewing.

Obama said that 50% of women between ages 18 to 34 women struggle to afford contraception.

Jim Geraghty at NRO has an excellent article on the actual cost of contraceptives.

Birth control pills can be purchased for as little as $9 a month.

Obama thinks it is too much for a woman to pay NINE DOLLARS A MONTH for her contraceptives so that she may engage in recreational sex.

Engaging in recreational sex is a choice. Recreational intercourse is neither compulsory nor necessary. As such contraceptives/birth control pills are nothing more than recreational tools or equipments.

Demanding that employers or the insurance companies they contract with/pay for employee health benefits pay for contraceptives for their employees is nothing more than demanding that an employer pay for the means, tools or equipment for their employees to engage in a recreational activity… in this instance sexual intercourse.

I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS.

Is this woman paying more than $9 a month to get her hair done?

How about her nails?

Is she paying more than $9 for soft drinks? Candy?

How about clothing?

How about make-up? Are these women paying more than $9 a month for lipstick and mascara?

Is that woman paying more than $9 a month for her cell phone?

How about downloading music, or internet service, or cable TV?

Are these women spending more than $108 a year on shoes?

Is she paying more than $9 for alcohol? Drugs? Pot, Cocaine, Crack?

How about the men? If a woman and man are in a committed relationship can neither carve that $9 a month out of their budget for birth control pills? Two trips to Starbucks and I have blow over $9. Or, if it is just casual sex/one night stand/hook-up then why can’t the dude pop for the $9 birth control pills along with the six pack of beer or wine coolers, drugs, or dinner & a movie. Or, are you screwing some cheap bastard?

One movie ticket will cost them at least $9.

For purposes of disclaimer I no longer engage in recreational intercourse, (not married and not in a relationship) nor have need for contraceptives if I did. [Blah, blah, blah…bitter shrew blah, blah, blah]

/However, there was a time of my life when I did, and when I did I paid for my own birth control pills from age 18 to 34 and beyond. I would have been ashamed to expect anyone to pay for my birth control pills. Shame folks… look it up.

I see no reason why my insurance premiums should now be higher in order to cover the costs of the recreational pursuits of others.

However, if my employer must now cover the costs of recreational activities then please tell me where I can send my $179 monthly internet bill.

OH… and to you skanky whores/sluts hooking up with the cheap bastard for casual sex… if you are so poor that you can’t afford $9 a month for birth control pills might I suggest you get off your back (or whatever) pull your panties and pants back on, put an aspirin between your knees AND GO GET A JOB!!!! If you have time for recreational sex then you have time to earn that $9 bucks for your recreational tools.

What? You don’t like being called skanky whores or sluts, fine pay for your own birth control pills and your sex life then becomes none of my business, but as long as you are expecting someone else pay for your recreational life then it is my business.

    How about downloading music

Considering iTunes gift cards at the grocery store start at $15… 😉

Too bad Lars Ulrich didn’t make birth control pills, eh? 😆

The point is, someone has to create these things, and someone has to pay for them. The person who wants to use what someone else created has to pay for it, or be given it- but the person giving it has to first own it. Obama is giving something away that he did not invent, he does not own the rights to, and he is expecting that those who do eat the cost. If the music industry can thrust the ban hammer down hard on a company like Napster, how come they aren’t speaking up for the insurance companies and purveyors of the pills?

Interesting well no wonder Obama wants to give the “poor” free contraception he obviously has (1) made them poor and (2) given them the free time to pursue recreational pursuits.

In the end everything is about money, power, or sex… and it seems Obama has wrapped up this trifecta into one issue.

    Obama’s desire for Power
    and Our Money
    by involving Others’ sex

You definitely hit the nail on the head. A major reason for the contraception issue is to take the focus off other issues, where Zippy looks so bad. Also, as Dick Morris said, Obama realizes that abortion is a losing issue and wants to convince voters (especially women voters) that Republicans are against contraception.

When Clinton was abusing his power by forcing himself on women, it was all about sex, nothing more.

When Edwards was spending campaign funds to cover up his affair with a photographer, it was all about sex, not corruption.

When JFK felt the urge to force himself on a 19 year old intern, it was just about sex, not abuse of power.

Now, when religion is abridged by force of executive power, it is still all about sex, not constitutional limits on government.

With democrats, it is always all about sex.

    Even murder.

And Obama is trying to frame this issue that Republicans/Conservatives are against contraceptives instead of this usurpation of our First Amendment rights of freedom of religion.

Obama is trying to force religions to not only accept the anti-religious beliefs of others but to pay for the privilege.

To accomplish this task Obama is attempting to make the objection about something as trivial as having insurance companies pick up at least part of the cost of birth control. What they fail to mention and what the rest of us know is that the death-eaters think that abortion and abortiants(?)/abortion pills are contraceptives/methods of birth control.

So when we set aside that what Obama is doing it the unconstitutional infringement on the free exercise of religion by the federal government and just address the issue the way Obama frames it… providing birth control pills to all women, especially poor ones then the argument is even sillier.

Obama is asking for others to pay for the recreational sex of otherwise irresponsible and unaccountable individuals.

Where is personal responsibility? Where is personal accountability?

If you can’t afford to buy your own contraceptives and you do not want to get pregnant then I have two words ….

    DON’T F__K.

It is simple as that… don’t engage in activities when you cannot afford the possible consequences or outcomes of those activities.

Sex is not a right, free contraceptives are not a right.

    great post, judy!!

There are a SMALL minority of cases where birth-control pills are actually used to treat a medical condition…SMALL percent. If a Doctor deems a woman needs them as true medication then I suppose an insurance plan should cover them. But the VAST majority are simply to allow women to engage in sex without getting pregnant. Which is fine…as long as THEY pay for it!

Same thing with men and condoms…THEY should pay for them.

For We The People to pay for someone’s recreational sex is like me demanding that the government pay for me to go snowmobiling, since I can’t afford to go very often and I REALLY enjoy it!! It would make me feel good…so PAY FOR IT, GOVERNMENT…dammit!!!

As for abortion drugs…NOPE. We The People should NEVER pay for that!

Yes the true health care medical uses for birth control pills is extremely limited. I doubt it is even 1%. I have only known one woman who was put on birth control pills for a medical reason and that was 35 years ago. I am sure that there are other drugs which would solve her problem or even a surgical procedure which would be a more effective cure.

Otherwise, there is nothing regarding healthcare or wellness that requires contraceptives.

I am not even going to address the negative impact on the individual and society as a result of casual/recreational sex. Just think of all the mental healthcare expense that could be saved if women didn’t destroy their self esteem by engaging in casual sexual relationships.

According to the article, gonorrhea is the second most commonly reported communicable disease in the country, with an estimated incidence of more than 600,000 cases every year.

Scientists note that the disease has a long history of developing resistance to modern medicine’s arsenal. It became resistant to sulfanilamide in the 1940s, penicillins and tetracyclines in the 1980s, and fluoroquinolones by 2007, stated health news website Science Daily. “The treatment options recommended by the CDC are now limited to third-generation cephalosporins,” and their effectiveness is decreasing rapidly.

Not at all surprising. The U.S. armed forces were holding gay/lesbien, bi-sexual sensivity training in the combat theater in Afghanistan. The Muzzie major murdering more than a dozen people at Ft. Hood was classified as workplace violence by the DOD.

The fact that we have welfare is proof that such a perception is predominant, as otherwise voters would favor asking friends, family and private charities to rescue others from poverty, it is our desire to run to the state for answers that creates welfare. And so, when we have welfare, we also favor active politicians.

Thus, those who cause the programs to grow will be seen as more proactive, and will be better known to voters, which, in the long run, will translate into more votes and more power. Thus, over time, elections favor those who cause welfare to grow, at least so long as we believe as we do.”

A great reason why we shouldnt fall for the age-old Statist trap that every trump up “problem” they dream up is a cause for government (especially federal) intervention to “DO SOMETHIN'”!

    Nope, not “collapse”…TOTALITARIANISM.

Once the STATE has achieved sufficient control over its Citizens, and especially the survival requirements of those Citizens (food, fuel, transportation, shelter), then they simply complete the process and enslave them. Orwell’s ‘Animal Farm’ provides a vivid portrayal of this in fiction…and the real Soviet Union did so in fact.

Lenin and Stalin quickly set up slave labor camps to fill the gaps in production…and the new Statists here will wind up doing the same thing. Except for that pesky 2nd Amendment…THAT is a problem for them. NO country in the history of mankind has had such a well armed citizenry…that is the ONLY impediment they will face.

More than 10.5 million people — about 5.3 percent of the population aged 25 and 64 — received disability checks in January from the federal government, the Post wrote, a 18 percent jump from before the recession.

Among those claiming disability, 43 percent are asking for benefits because of mental illness, the Post wrote.
    (snip)
The Post noted that the more people file for disability claims, the better for the unemployment picture since those people are removed from the jobless rolls.

    Daughter’s Decision

A young girl walked into the family living room last night and said “Dad, cancel my allowance immediately, forget the College tuition, rent my room out, throw all my clothes out of the window; take my TV, IPhone, IPod, and my laptop. Please take any of my jewelry to the Salvation Army or Cash Converters. Then sell my car, take my front door key away from me and throw me out of the house. Then disown me and never talk to me again. And don’t forget to write me out of your will and leave my share to any one that wants it.”

Well, she didn’t put it quite like that, She actually said…

“Dad, meet my new boyfriend – Mohammed. We’re going to work together on President Obama’s re-election campaign.
