Everybody runs…

The U.S. Department of Homeland security is working on a project called FAST, the Future Attribute Screening Technology. FAST will remotely monitor physiological and behavioural signals like elevated heart rate, eye movement, body temperature, facial patterns, and body language, and analyse these signals algorithmically for statistical aberrance in an attempt to identify people with criminal or terroristic intentions.

Source

The problem? Well other than the Constitutional issues, how about the fact that the TSA is the one that is considering this system. Please DO read the whole article.

Could running to catch a flight be considered a terrorist act if it would fool such a system? Feel better now??

The “best” part of this is that when coupled with Obama’s Exec Order allowing “indefinite detention of U.S. citizens WITHOUT trial”, we will have achieved a state where a computer can order someone picked up and locked up…and we won’t even need to have creepy “Pre-Cogs” floating in a pool!

Yup…the future is here, and it is AWESOME!

Decent conclusion but it totally misses the motive for this ObamaCare Apology Tour that the Dims are having. They are feeling the heat from the electorate in an election year. You can be guaranteed that most of these Pols would scrap any thought of modification once the elections are over. Fact the only Pol that did vote for BammyCare that has called for its repeal that I now trust in Barwny Fwrank. He’s not running for reelection.

    From the KH post —

“”Imagine that a man who has been convicted of a domestic violence crime against a woman he had been dating seeks — and obtains — a permit to carry a concealed firearm from his state of residence,” she wrote. “Under the concealed carry reciprocity bills, he could legally travel across state lines and confront his former girlfriend …” – Feinstein

This is what goes for cognitive thinking in a Dim? She does not even know the law on this matter. If a man or woman were to be charged with a DV, —

“The Violence Against Women Act of 2005 (VAWA) and the 1997 Omnibus Consolidated
Appropriations Act include federal firearm laws related domestic violence. VAWA (2005), which updated the Violence Against Women Act of 1994, makes it a crime for a person who has a domestic abuse restraining order in force against him/her to transport, receive or possess firearms or ammunition that have crossed state or federal borders. Law enforcement officers and other governmental officials are exempt from the VAWA ban on firearm possession if the
firearm is government issued. The 1997 Omnibus Consolidated Appropriations Act, which
updated the Federal Gun Control Act of 1968, prohibits the possession or distribution of firearms and ammunition by or to persons convicted of state or federal misdemeanor crimes of domestic violence. Law enforcement officers and other governmental officials are not exempt from the Omnibus Consolidated Appropriations Act. As of September 30, 1996, any person convicted of a domestic violence misdemeanor may no longer possess a firearm or ammunition, even if the conviction took place before September, 30, 1996. This technical support packet includes information on these two federal laws.”

    Source — http://www.google.com/url?q=http://www.bwlap.org/publication/stream%3FfileName%3DFirearms__Federal__2.pdf&sa=U&ei=RouQT5PEGsGu6AGyr7TDBA&ved=0CAUQFjAA&client=internal-uds-cse&usg=AFQjCNE-nR_rI_GkCZnuONsd27L_GPR32g

The scenario she is talking about is moot and already covered by FEDERAL law. So the fact that states would require reciprocity is not affected. The mere illegal transport would bar the matter from consideration and the VAWA statute would stand.

    !@#%tch.

Y’know I have been pleased that Romney is polling so well this early and really trying to be optimistic…..and I even have like part of what the Mittster has to say and am confident he wont do a Bush/McCain style punching bag imitation.

But then I read as part of (I think) a Rasmussen poll that 53% of people are in favor of stricter carbon restrictions on coal plants than currently exist even knowing that they will necessarily increase prices. Aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrgggghhhhhhhhhh.
How can people be this incredibly ignorant???? It just amazes me that no one wants to know the truth for themselves. Hey, tell me what to think, will ya’? I don’t care how incredibly stupid it is on it’s face, I will believe it!

On top of that the Frank up your Dodds bill is ratcheting up. I wish I could remember the name of the new agency is that is just starting up with a 158 mill budget that can basically tax any bank whatever it wants and demand to see any data or anything else it wants at will…..it currently has 67 employees and will soon have over 200. And it will report its finding to an even bigger bureaucracy coming soon!!!!! They will have no congressional oversight and can blackmail by fiat any business they want to.

This country is totally toast, maybe even if we get rid of the turd that looks like a jughead. 👿

    19. Yeah I love that. Hey I’m not against the electric car per-say but these fools that are like “omg we nedz to go green – buy electric cars!” never seem to understand what you pointed out, something still has to produce the electricity to charge those cars and wind and solar don’t even come remotely close to covering it on a national basis. My response isn’t to mention coal but to mention nuclear cause it tends to piss them off even more, oh nice prius, you must be pro nuclear (majority of our electricity here is nuke based). The blank stares are always worth the comment.

She stepped out into the crowded reception room
and yelled out loud (because her husband didn’t hear
very well): “Henry, do we still have intercourse?”

Well there was a hush throughout the waiting room…
You could hear a pin drop.

Then he answered impatiently, “Damn it, if I’ve

Yeah with force behind it, my point is if someone just pushed you down I don’t think you’d get that deep gash (to the lower right) like that, I’m no expert but the wound looks to this layman to be consistent with Zimmerman’s story of the aggressor forcing his head against the pavement.

    from an email —

IN CASE YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN THE DETAILS This tells the story, why Bush was so bad at the end of his term.

Don’t just skim over this, read it slowly and let it sink in. If in doubt, check it out.
The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, the day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate at the very start of the 110th Congress. The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is “Bush’s Fault”, think about this:

January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress.

    At the time:

The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
    The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush’s Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH

    Remember the day…
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
Unemployment… To this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!

Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie – starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy.
And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac? OBAMA
And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie? OBAMA and the Democrat Congress

So when someone tries to blame Bush..
REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007…. THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!”

Budgets do not come from the White House. They come from Congress and the party that controlled Congress since January 2007 is the Democrat Party.

Furthermore, the Democrats controlled the budget process for 2008 & 2009 as well as 2010 &2011.

In that first year, they had to contend with George Bush, which caused them to compromise on spending, when Bush somewhat belatedly got tough on spending increases.

For 2009 though, Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid bypassed George Bush entirely, passing continuing resolutions to keep government running until Barack Obama could take office. At that time, they passed a massive omnibus spending bill to complete the 2009 budgets.

And where was Barack Obama during this time? He was a member of that very Congress that passed all of these massive spending bills, and he signed the omnibus bill as President to complete 2009.

If the Democrats inherited any deficit, it was the 2007 deficit, the last of the Republican budgets. That deficit was the lowest in five years, and the fourth straight decline in deficit spending. After that, Democrats in Congress took control of spending, and that includes Barack Obama, who voted for the budgets.

If Obama inherited anything, he inherited it from himself. In a nutshell, what Obama is saying is I inherited a deficit that I voted for and then I voted to expand that deficit four-fold since January 20th.
