Romney Lashes Out at Liberal Media

Mitt must be taking lessons from wifey. Regardless, it’s great to see that he is speaking out rather than being a human punching bag for the media, like John McCain was four years.  You have to give Romney credit for realizing now that the primary is virtually over, the media will constantly be attacking him.

Now, if he only picks a decent running mate and doesn’t do a 180 on immigration/amnesty ….

Gov. Mitt Romney hammered the media and left-wing organizations like Media Matters for America in an exclusive interview with Larry O’Connor of Breitbart News.

    My only caution is —

Mitt stay on message. Obama is the target, not MSM. On the political chess board MSM is the knight. To win you must go for the king. Especially true since the MSM seems to be taking its cues increasingly from the Won.

I disagree dog, we need to keep hammering the media so that more folks open their eyes and see what jughead protecting slime they are. We can chew gum and talk at the same time. 🙂

Romney would be wise not to be drawn into extemporaneous bullshit. That is what the enemy wants, to derail Romney away from the pressing issues of the day.To kill the snake you go for the head. The kenyan fraud is so vulnerable on so many fronts, romney has his pick, and need not go tilting at strawmen set up by the MSM.

I actually agree that Romney should get and STAY on message.

BUT…he needs to remember, day in day out, that the media is NEVER EVER his friend! And he needs to call them out on their distortions and biases whenever it is warranted (ok, that’d be ALWAYS)

  8. 2012 April 18 7:15 am

The MSM would be more than happy to distract romney from his real target. They would act as rodeo clowns in the bull ring.

Look, if Romney lets himself be a media punching bag like Bush and McCain did he will surely lose. Did you see Diane Sawyer with him the other day? ‘Mitt, why did you try to kill your dog?’ ‘Why are you rich and insensitive?’ Gimme a break guys. We need preemptive strikes against these slime.

With all respect, drdog09, I couldn’t disagree more. The media is Mitt Romney’s opponent just as much as Barack Obama is.

In 2004 Evan Thomas admitted that media bias was worth as much as 15% to the Kerry-Edwards vote total. Look what the media did to Sarah Palin from the day McCain named her to the ticket. Making pre-emptive strikes against the media is very smart. What is the media going to do to Romney that it wouldn’t do anyhow?

Romney does indeed need to take this fight to Obama- but I have to say…

Yesterday’s revelation that Obama has eaten a dog has proven to be such lovely fodder for my entertainment, and is just another thing Obama can no longer use against Romney. Romney may have put the dog atop the family vehicle, but he didn’t sprinkle him with pepper and roast him over the campfire. Good stuff. There must be more things like this. Whatever they attack Romney for, lets find where Obama did something worse. Attack the attacks.

#20 Can you imagine how scared BO must feel right now? I know my dogs would be throwing me some serious side eye. I do see eating dog as a very very bad thing. The optics on this weighed against the enormous cost of veterinary services in this country are going to be interesting if anyone wants to go that route. Think of how many multiple thousands of dollars folks spend on care for their pets- and Obama ate a dog?

After the last week or so, I am feeling better about November 6. Let’s just hope Romnet doesn’t do anything to hack off conservatives – like naming Christie or Bush to the ticket or support Marco Rubio’s amnesty plan.

. We need preemptive strikes against these slime.~~bruce

To a degree, as long it isn’t detrimental to keeping the real target in his sights, bearing in mind that the MSM is deliberatly trying to distract. He can answer asinine crap like (mutleys on the roof) etc. by a one sentence response, and then use that as a springboard to launch on the Kenyan.
There are few issues that the MSM can bring up that can’t be turned around and used against the commie in chief.

Example:~~Mitt, why did you try to kill your dog?’ ‘Why are you rich and insensitive?’ ~~~~MSM babbler

Mitt: ~~~My dog loves riding on the roof, and it’s no different than riding in a pickup. With obammercare,we couldn’t even afford a pickup, and one wonders why barry has no “sensitivity” to the death panels.

One needs to be fast thinking on their feet however.

Not saying they are not an opponent, they are. But the fact is Romney has surrogates that he could utilize to take on the press. Christie for example would make an excellent attack dog on that score. R needs to focus on Obama.

PS. How would you preempt the MSM from what they are going to do? If they are taking their cues from the WH then that is were you have to lead the assault. Best way to prevent that is to be inside and beyond the WH communications team. Take the WH on issue after issue. Hit them with GSA, Holder, F&F, Hillary’s dance routines, etc. Make the WH react, which will make the MSM react. Don’t give them time to dream stuff up.
