Collusion *UPDATED*

Huge HT today for the folks at The Right Scoop for uncovering yet another example of media dishonesty.

Before Romney issued his statement today, an open mic capture the press coordinating questions to ask Romney, with one saying “no matter who he calls on we’re covered on the one question”. I’ve transcribed it to the best of my ability but the audio is below for verification:

I’ve labeled one as the CBS News reporter as I believe it is Nancy Cordes who works for CBS News. If I’ve gotten that wrong I apologize and will correct.

Click the link for the transcript and video. Anyone still confused as to whether or not we have a state run media?

UPDATE: Riehl World View has an interesting take on this story:

As for the mic, when I reported before and after college, it wasn’t unusual to compare notes like that and those two may even be from the same network. I honestly don’t find that unusual. But it’s what comes after that I’d like to know. The one reporter says she shouldn’t let her notebook show because of what’s on it. It’s at the very end of the tape. Whatever it is sounds like it belongs to reporter 2. It sounds like she says, “It’s your ……” My question would be, does it involve Obama, perhaps? A sticker, or some such? Or, was it a particular network ID? That’s the question I came away wondering about fwiw.

Thoughts?

Remember folks, we’re “just bloggers”. Leave the real reporting to those with a piece of paper that says they are more qualified to do it than you are.

What amazes me is these idiots are acting against their own self-interest. The economy sucks and network news shows and newspapers run so much red ink that this might be the source of the Yanghtez turning red. Do they think they are immune from the bad economy? Do they think Obama will bail out his personal press troop?

    With what?

I have watched for over three years while no one made any attempt to cut spending and now we have $16,000,000,000,000 of debt.

No, they are not. Their primary interest is advancing liberalism and re-electing Barack Obama and as many Democrats as possible. CNN and the alphabet nightly networks all could have much larger audiences, have larger profits and greater job security if they presented unbiased news programming. They realize this, but are ready to fall on their swords for the cause.

On the other hand, Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes would throw us under the bus in a heartbeat.

Uh,… actually no. The primary interest of the MSM is the almight buck. Case in point — the editor/newroom dust up over cuts at the NYT. If it had been about Liberalism the editors would work for free and the NYT would be making gobs of money as a consequence. But that was not the case. They were all grousing about money not idealogy.

That aside, it is true that the worldview of the MSM is definately Left. But from a profit perspective it is in the interest of the MSM to create conflict so as to sell a story. Sell enough conflict stories and you can sell a paper. That is what they care about most.

How many Liberal television executives have been fired because of poor ratings? The head of CNN comes immediately to mind. Any of the three major networks could dramatically increase its ratings by just becoming objective. But they won’t. Any of the networks could have dramatically increased ratings via a Fast and Furious expose, yet none did. For the left, ideology trumps everything else – including personal comforts.

Andrew Breitbart has said (and I am paraphrasing): Conservatives need to learn that their greatest enemy is the media, not the Democrats.

    Guys and Gals –

As I have been saying for the past three years – escalate the war with the media to get it out in the open. What can they possibly do to Romney and the rest of conservatives and Repoublicans that they don’t plan to do any way?

Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all. – Frédéric Bastiat

Romney now does not want to repeal Obama care he wants to keep most of it an rework the rest. Clearly he doesn’t realize that we flat don’t want the government messing with our health care AT ALL! But just keep telling yourself that this Republican socialist is going to save us from the Democrat socialist.

I have studied a lot about the Muslim religion.

There is a statement that needs to be made:

According to Sharia Law, a person born to a Muslim is a muslim, period. If,, for any reason, a person leaves the muslim religion and declares himself a Christian, Jew, or any other religion, that person is to be killed. If we tie this together, Obama was born a Muslim. To the Muslims, he is a Muslim, and according to Sharia Law, he has to die. Evaluating all this, why has a he not had a Fatwah issued against him? Hmmm. Just asking…

“What if Obama is of the view that the federal government can tell you how to live and keep you from becoming too rich?

What if Romney wants to make the same federal government more effective and efficient at what it does?

What if Obama is really a Marxist who rejects personal freedom, natural rights and private property?

What if Romney is really an empty suit who doesn’t know or won’t say what he believes?

What if Obama really wants all health care providers to work for the federal government?

What if Romney spent the entire presidential primary season condemning Obamacare, only to say this past weekend that there are parts of it he really likes and will endeavor to retain?

What if Obama wants federal bureaucrats to ration health care and decide who lives and who dies?

What if Romney spent the entire presidential primary season running against conservative and libertarian opponents and arguing that only the free market or the states should address health care, but earlier this week accepted a major federal role in its management?

What if Obama will have the feds tell you what doctor to see and tell the doctor what procedures to administer?

What if Romney consistently blasted the concept that Congress can constitutionally force you to buy health care coverage you don’t want to buy, but now accepts the concept that Congress can constitutionally force insurance companies to sell you health care coverage they don’t want to sell?

What if the system is fixed? What do we do about it?”

695.This one’s for all you political nuts who are waiting for some authoritrian statist in a suit (could be politican or could be technocrat) to “save the world” for you:

“It’s fine to rely on Obama or Romney to create jobs for theoretical unemployed people you don’t know, but do you really want to rely on either of them to help you out if you are struggling? When people complained to Obama about the jobs situation, his reaction was to tax people for not having health insurance. Years later, there’s still no evidence he even knows what a job is, and his main focus now is on Romney’s tax returns, even though I doubt the solution to the economy is hidden in them.

And Romney is only running for president because that’s what rich people do when they’re bored of playing with their dancing horses and car elevators. People hope he’ll apply his business sense to the government, but if the government were a business, the only sensible thing would be to declare bankruptcy and shut the whole thing down. So don’t get your hopes up with any of them.”

Personnally, I’d like to support something that MORAL and proven to work: Liberty, individual rights, and the free market!

But hey that’s “freedom” stuff isnt “popular” right now so why bother, eh?

Maybe late news, but the Jerusalem Post says that the authorities knew problems were coming as early as Sept. 4th.

The Western World is in trouble! The following was the response of the US government to the attack on the US embassy in Egypt. All the while, according to the Jerusalem Post (http://www.jpost.com/Headlines/Article.aspx?id=284684), the US and Israel had received intelligence reports on Sept. 4th regarding potential attacks on embassies. According to this, there is absolutely no connection between the acts against the US embassies in Egypt and Libya and the anti-Islam movie on youtube. In anycase, no violence should ever be tolerated in reaction to a video! Israel can not rely on the relationship with the USA under Obama to protect herself and her citizens. Even though Obama’s cornerstone Middle East policy was to cozy up to the Arab/Muslim countries, these recent attacks on the US embassies show that that policy has not worked. We stand behind Prime Minister Netanyahu and his latest statement saying that Israel will do what is necessary to defend herself! We believe by dedending ourselves we are not only protecting Israel, but the Western world, including American citizens who live in the USA.
