The Real Issue About the David Gregory Gun Clip

There is a full uproar in the gun community about the exchange on Meet the Press the third week of December where the moderator waved a gun clip live on air. Gregory/NBC come to find out did so in full knowledge that they broke DC law. The media types are circling the wagons. The DC police are investigating. That alone will prove interesting. Gregory should be in jail or out on bond at this moment pending trial.

This is the point where it starts to get dangerous. What Gregory is actually doing is fomenting the breakdown of law and order. For if the police at least do not arrest him then a very public image is depicted that its `No errors for some, no rest for others`. Whether the DA for the DC district decides to prosecute is a different matter. That is professional discretion and it goes on all the time in minor crimes like this.

Gregory’s act, whether he planned it or not, is a perfect prop for the Alinsky-Previn types. A key point in their strategy is to not only take over institutions but then cause them to crumble so as to induce societal decay. So by demonstrating very publicly that there are two sets of books as far as the law is concerned it damages the public trust in the laws of the land. Then when it is pretty much assumed by everyone that there are NO laws accorded gun ownership then the government at all levels is justified in seizure on any pretense. (Google ‘New Orleans gun seizures Katrina’ to see what I mean.)

That is the real danger.

By the way, Gregory is a wimp. Ya know back in my youthful heydays reporters were all running around breaking the law all the time trying to stick it to The Man. It was a badge of honor back then to be arrested. Not now it seems.

If Gregory had any guts he and his lawyer would go down to the MPD, offer himself for arrest for violating DC code. Have the TV cameras going the whole time. Then have his lawyer bail him out. That is prime time reality TV and NBC is having none of it. That is why I say he is being a prop for the Alinskyites.

whenever I think about the concept of our government trying to physically sieze the firearms of law abiding citizens I am reminded of this dialogue from Casablanca:

Major Strasser: Are you one of those people who cannot imagine the Germans in their beloved Paris?

Rick: It’s not particularly my beloved Paris.

Heinz: Can you imagine us in London?

Rick: When you get there, ask me!

    Captain Renault: Hmmh! Diplomatist!

Major Strasser: How about New York?

Rick: Well there are certain sections of New York, Major, that I wouldn’t advise you to try to invade.

    …….
there are certain sections of this country that I wouldn’t advise our government to “try to invade”.

Oh how I love that movie! It hits all the buttons like no other. The humor in it like your passage above just rips.

drdog, it is becoming more relevant every day. Someday we may see this scene played out with Obamanistas singing “Obama’s gonna save us” and someone demanding the band play “The Star Spangled Banner”…

I weep for the mindless drones who voted for Obama…believing ANY of his bullshit. NOW the morons are waking up and are SURPRISED!

And all the “soothing” words from Obama as he blames everyone BUT himself will not stop these morons from seeing their money ripped away from them. And when Congress promises to only hike tazes on “the wealthy”, most of these morons will feel SAFE again! Until, of course, the definition of “wealthy” gets made clear…and then they’ll realize they got lied to AGAIN!

    Surprise, dickwads!

    JR,

From your article — “If no cliff deal is reached, he’d end up having to cut down on golfing trips and travel to Europe. Plus, his bathroom renovation would have to wait. ”

[expletive deleted]! Sheer crass. This particular individual probably voted for Obama too. Damn shame his new crapper will have to wait. There are men today taking dumps in slit trenches in Afcrapistan so he can dream about a new Kohler Ultra bidet. Makes me sick.

drdog, the comments from that article (as you noted) are infuriating…and point to a hopelessly ignorant populace. Which is EXACTLY what our Masters want!

Every person was outraged NOT because of the impact on long-term impact on their freedom, the short-term impact on the country as a whole, or the economic future of their children. Nope. All these people cared about was the vacations they might have to skip, etc. And if someone else can be made to pay for those vacations, then they will stop giving a damn and go back to sleep.

Downside of wealth. It’s allowed so many of these people to get so weak and so lose perspective they can think like that. I’ve been saying for a while it might not be too bad for us to have a total collapse, just to bring the struggle for survival into focus for these feckless tools. Then there are those of us ready for it…

I saw a car today (naturally a Prius) driven by a white guy about 55 years old. There is a red strip about six inches high. This a-hole had thw letters O B A M A about 5 inches high spaced out across the entire red strip.

#12 After a nearly bumper sticker free election, I am now seeing “I heart Obamacare” stickers everywhere. WTF. I had a funny thought recently- because we don’t know what’s in the bill…it would give me a fantastic chuckle to find cigarettes banned by Obamacare, since demographically, his peeps smoke (and I am not talking about race). Is that mean?

JM, this is going to sound cruel and inhumane. I suspect that Obamacare will subsidize cigarettes. Since it shortens lives it will save money.
