The Davos Dumpling Gang

As most know I am not a big conspiracy proponent. They are too hard, consequences are indeterminate and history shows they seldom work well in the modern age. But in a moment of indulgence lets say there is one afoot globally. The actors? Well there are the usual ones — Council of Foreign Relations, Davos conference, United Nations, even The Masons. For simplicity lets pick the Davos confab.

If Davos is a conspiracy it is a very oddly shaped one. Membership is over represented by Western interests. Which is sort of odd, because most of the lineages of the conspiracy folks is an attempted economic downbeat of the Western countries. So other than a few currency traders like Soros few if any would benefit from such a precept. (Were he alive, imagine Steve Jobs willingly wishing Apple be busted in a currency devaluation.)

No friends, if there is a move afoot to debase Western interests it is exactly those countries under represented at Davos. I turn your attention to the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China). China has been instrumental and very open to shifting to an alternate global exchange base other than the USD. Not much of a conspiracy when you have an open declaration of intent. Individually each of these countries seem to be following a pattern — Buy Gold. China has been buying regularly for several years. Indian citizens has a long tradition of purchasing gold. Russia has just made a huge gold buy. Little reported in the press, Brazil has nearly doubled its gold reserves.

But even here the BRIC’s are not in shall we say open revolt in a currency war against the US. They know they don’t have to be. They just keep their eyes on Congress and know we are doing it to ourselves, openly. All they have to do is wait till the rest of the world no longer wants the USD, then politely announce they are a valid alternative for world trade. The markets will switch in a matter of hours. On day zero the USD was a global reserve currency, day one it is not.

If that be conspiracy it is one for the history books as it is in plain sight and will work.

“The highly anticipated directive from President Obama is expected to be released at a briefing Wednesday morning at the U.S. Department of Commerce, where senior administration officials will provide an update about cybersecurity policy.

The executive order would establish a voluntary program in which companies operating critical infrastructure would elect to meet cybersecurity best practices and standards crafted, in part, by the government.”

Highly anticipated my ass, and if its so voluntary whats with an EO? Course the elephant in the room is the government doesn’t even do a good job at complying with existing best practices or standards in this regard or many others.

“America has fast descended into a police state. The trouble is that we want to believe in the rule of law and the system that alleges to support and enforce it. But when reality collides with illusion, it is too late. No matter how bad things seem, we always think that times will get better and that government will do the right thing.

Only a few people left Germany in the early 1930s. They could clearly see the evolving tyranny. Many who stayed thought that things would not get so bad or that times would get better. They suffered from normalcy bias, a form of cognitive dissonance. They paid.

The wisdom today is in being able to see what is happening and having the vision to discern what is going to happen. Sorry. Anyone who still believes in the illusion of the rule of law will not see reality until it’s too late to do what is necessary to survive and keep their assets”

Apparently the demo video in the article has been pulled at the request of Raytheon as wasn’t meant for public distribution.

Like the radical german underground of the 30’s I won’t run. I will figure out how to fight in my own way. I might end up at Hut 1369 but I will have tried.

Drdog, I’m starting to think a lot of us are gonna have “accidents” on the way to Hut1369.

The arrogance of DHS borders on tyranny already…in a couple years…??

Billy Bob and Luther were talking one afternoon when Billy Bob tells Luther, “Ya know, I reckon I’m ’bout ready for a vacation. Only this year I’m gonna do it a little different. The last few years, I took your advice about where to go.

Three years ago you said to go to Hawaii . I went to Hawaii and Earlene got pregnant.

Then two years ago, you told me to go to the Bahamas , and Earlene got pregnant again.

Last year you suggested Tahiti and darned if Earlene didn’t get pregnant again.”

Luther asks Billy Bob, “So, what you gonna do this year that’s different?”

Billy Bob says, “This year I’m taking Earlene with me.”

I’ve been getting silver primarily in the form of “junk dimes”, which are the pre 1965 dimes that aren’t otherwise rare or desirable. They’re not too much up front, have trusted properties, and would be small enough to exchange in barter situations. Quarters and halves are available as well.

JR – you are right about “accidents” on the way to Hut 1369. As that article stated that I posted – they have no intention of trying to re-educate us. Bill Ayers own words is that they are going to have to eliminate 25 million of us (and that was back in the late 60’s early 70’s).

Even today you see the hatred and the want to eradicate us. We are the problem preventing them from having their utopia. In their mind they are so close – if it wasn’t for us, they would be there. If we would just step aside or just go away.

No, there wont be a Hut 1369 for any of us. Come to grips with that and understand what your fate is. Either comply or die.

Well, I don’t plan on complying and I don’t plan on dying either – just being the biggest pain in the butt I can be.

#15 4 first, 1 makes sure 4 is enough to barter with…however…I do want *some* silver in the very beginning, before folks are downright starving and still think any kind of currency is coming back. I do know that there will be a global currency, but the exchange rates will be a b****!!!!!!

“Just how utterly reliant on sheer power is President Obama can be appreciated from the fact that no one in his administration bothers to defend his policy of confiscating people’s resources. Apart from calling upon the phony support of a few super rich folks like Warren Buffet − who, I understand, is by no means offering his own wealth up for use by Mr. Obama (instead, engaging in customary dodging and weaving, not paying up) − no argument has been put forth by the administration for the progressive tax policy it relies upon. Merely declaring that the very wealthy “may be asked” to contribute a higher percentage of their belongings isn’t an argument, merely a dishonest dogma. Why, one may ask! What principle supports this policy of public finance? Why must those with exceptional talent, skill, luck, etc. be punished for possessing these?

Sure, such very rich folks may not need their resources as badly as do poorer folks but why is that a justification for the confiscatory policy? It simply is not. Matters concerning who needs what, how much, etc., just have no generalized answer. “Fair share” is a made-up idea, a rationalization, based on nothing more than the wish to take, take and take some more. Such a wish has no standing in morality or public finance!”

    5) Scotch.

Scotch is highly tradeable and does not spoil. Besides when it gets really really really bad I can get blitzed so bad when they come to take me away I pass on of alochol poisioning.

I would say ammo is high on the list as well. Especially if it is traded from barrel to body parts unknown for perps of an unsavory nature.

SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korea conducted its third-ever nuclear test on Tuesday, a move likely to anger its main ally China and increase international action against Pyongyang and its new young leader, Kim Jong-un.

U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned North Korea’s test, saying it was a “clear and grave violation” of U.N. Security Council resolutions.

I’m well enough set up with all of those (been doing this for a while) that I’ve gotten into some of the more mundane things, soap, toothpaste and brushes, shampoo, etc etc etc. For more barter: batteries, Bic lighters, duct tape, string/twine/rope. Think of everyday things you’ll miss if the supply chain breaks down. Everybody else will miss those, too.

THE best analysis of the Benghazi betrayal I have read (h/t Instapundit for the link)

Here’s what I’ve been assuming happened: It looked like our people were overwhelmed and doomed, so there was shock, sadness, and acceptance. But then the fight went on for 7 or 8 hours. The White House folk decided there was nothing to do but accept the inevitable, and then they witnessed a valiant fight which they had done nothing to support. It was always too late to help. It was too late after one hour, then too late after 2 hours, then too late after 3 hours…. When were these people going to die already? After that was all over, how do you explain what you did?

If even 5% of our media did their job then Obama and Hillary would be facing jail time! But since only FoxNews ever gave a damn about this, Obama and Hillary are being SAINTED for their in-action!

Obama is the first president in my memory that just sat on his ass and did nothing to protect American forces. Even the worthless Jimmy Carter attempted a rescue that failed. The pResident disgusts me.

Why is it that none of the disturbed and evil men, who steal guns, then go and kill movie-goers and children in school, has ever been identified as a conservative NRA member?

Fort Hood. Registered Democrat ~ Muslim.

Columbine . Too young to vote. both families were registered Democrats and progressive liberals.

Virginia Tech . Wrote hate mail to President Bush and to his staff. Registered Democrat.

Colorado Theater . Registered Democrat; staff worker on the Obama campaign; Occupy Wall Street participant; progressive liberal.

Connecticut School Shooter. Registered Democrat; hated Christians.

Common thread is that all of these shooters were progressive liberal Democrats.
    INTERESTING, isn’t it?

    Maybe Democrats shouldn’t have guns!

and the list in #28 is eye opening (just not to our “beloved” media)

and the day-by-day cartoon is perfect…expect Obama & Holder will ensure they escape prosecution
