The Left/Media cabal is extremely good at taking Events (and even non-Events) and putting their own (and often false) spins on them. Then asking and answering the “So what?” question using their own “facts”, and then swiftly moving on to ask and answer the “Now what?” question for us. The George Zimmerman / Trayvon Martin travesty was a perfect example.

The event was real…but the “So what?” was a fantasy concocted by the media (initially NBC and ABC “News”) of a 12 year old boy skipping home with Skittles, and then “hunted down like a rabid dog” [CongressCreature Frederica Wilson (D-Fla)] by a racist “crazy ass Cracker” [Trayvon Martin’s words].

racewarUsing those “facts”, the race-baiters (Sharpton, Jackson, Obama, Holder, et al) came out of the woodwork to ask and answer the “Now what?” question…and the answer was: demand that George Zimmerman be charged with 2nd Degree murder and use the trial to inflame racial animus.

The real facts in the case (Martin’s actual age and size, the beating Zimmerman took at the hands of Martin, Zimmerman’s completely NON-racist history, Martin’s violent past, etc) sat way in the back of the bus…and many Americans still don’t know or believe them. The narrative of it being “Open Season on Young Black Men” [Samuel L. Jackson] was carefully nurtured, and is alive today.

In the last two weeks we have now had two events that don’t fit that narrative, and the media is desperately trying to avoid having anyone ask the “So what?” question…and downright terrified of that leading to a true discussion of “Now what?

While there have been lots of murders in the last two weeks, the two murders (events) in question are, of course, the murder of an Australian jogger by a man how we now know “hated White people”, and the even more brutal murder of an 89 year old WWII veteran at the hands of two Black teenagers.

So what?

For me, and lots of people, it means I have to do something I was raised NOT to do…it means I have to start giving a damn what someone’s skin color is. And I HATE being put in that position.

Now what?

I have to start modifying my behavior to prepare to act based on suspicion stemming from someone’s color.

Resident Obama said this in the wake of the verdict in the George Zimmerman trial:

“There are very few African American men who haven’t had the experience of walking across the street and hearing the locks click on the doors of cars. There are very few African Americans who haven’t had the experience of getting on an elevator and a woman clutching her purse nervously and holding her breath until she had a chance to get off. That happens often.”

It was happening less and less until Obama became the Resident of the White House, but over the last 5 years he and his diseased Attorney General have done all in their considerable power to indicate to Black America that it’s time for some pay back! Starting with Eric Holder dropping the charges against the blatant voter intimidation by the New Black Panthers and stating it was because “such focus demeans MY people”, and continuing as Holder and Obama cried “RACISM!” at every opportunity and continually blamed “White America” for everything wrong in America and the world.The two men in the picture above are the two men who intimidated the voters in Philly, and then offered a $10,000 bounty if someone would kill Zimmerman.  That crime was also ignored by Eric Holder.

Black youths are increasingly told they are “victims”, and thus not responsible for their actions. Meanwhile the crime rate in Black communities across the nation has skyrocketed since Obama took office…and it appears that violence is spreading out from there more and more.

89 year old WWII veteran Delbert Belton was told by Obama not to be fearful of Black “youths”…he got beaten to death by two of them.

I am NOT a “Racist”…but I am a realist. An entire segment of our society has been led to believe that they are entitled, that they are victims, and that if society won’t give them what they are entitled to, they are just going to have to take it! This means I have to live and act with a heightened sense of awareness beyond which I normally do…and that heightened sense will increasingly need a ‘color filter’. Again, I HATE having to live and act that way…and I blame the Racial-Animus Industry

The Racial-Animus Industry relies on White GUILT as much as it relies on Black victimhood. I can’t do anything about the Black victimhood…but I sure as hell don’t have any “White Guilt”. I’m an innocent man. If I ever forget that (which I won’t) I can download Billy Joel’s song ‘An Innocent Man’ for about 99 cents from iTunes. For anyone needing to be free of ‘White Guilt’ that’s a pretty cheap Price of Freedom.

    While the media has lost some of its punch, it still plays a strong role in building up candidates it likes (Obama, Clinton) and working to destroy those it doesn’t (Palin, Cruz, Rand Paul, etc.). 2012 proved the media can still be a major factor in determining the outcome of elections. And, it sets the tone for racial discussions by what it emphasizes and, perhaps more important, what it doesn’t report or covers up.

    On another note. Today as I was leaving work, driving down I-30 in Arlington I look up at one of the overpasses to see a huge sign spanning the entire interstate —

    “Honk To Impeach Obama”

    People were honking and waving at the sign. Made my heart proud….

    Evidently they have been doing it a while. And they have a bigger sign now….

    Apparently they had the 50th anniversary of the MLK “I have a dream” speech in DC today.

    There was a lot of talk about Trayvon Martin and discrimination against blacks and nothing about blacks taking personal responsibility for their own situation (crime, single mother families, dropping out of high school, etc.):

    The above is probably the best observation I have seen. It strips away the popular political/social/economic labels. Simply there lies in the hearts of many the desire to be masters, be damn the rights of others.

    WEC, IP and drdog…your comments #13, 14 and 15 combine to provide a full perspective on our current plight, and it ain’t hopeful. But thank you all for doing so…we need to move into the coming days, weeks and months with eyes wide open.

    I would have added “years”…except I don’t think we can balance on this knife’s edge for years. And I think it is the people described by Daniel Webster that will force the issue…whatever the outcome.
