Somebody Be Agitating the Dots

2016 February 6

Amid the chaos of the 2009 holiday travel season, jihadists planned to slaughter 290 innocent travelers on a Christmas Day flight from the Netherlands to Detroit, Michigan. Twenty-three-year old Nigerian Muslim Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab intended to detonate Northwest Airlines Flight 253, but the explosives in his underwear malfunctioned and brave passengers subdued him until he could be arrested. The graphic and traumatic defeat they planned for the United States failed, that time.

Following the attempted attack, President Obama threw the intelligence community under the bus for its failure to “connect the dots.” He said, “this was not a failure to collect intelligence, it was a failure to integrate and understand the intelligence that we already had.”

Most Americans were unaware of the enormous damage to morale at the Department of Homeland Security, where I worked, his condemnation caused. His words infuriated many of us because we knew his administration had been engaged in a bureaucratic effort to destroy the raw material—the actual intelligence we had collected for years, and erase those dots. The dots constitute the intelligence needed to keep Americans safe, and the Obama administration was ordering they be wiped away.

After leaving my 15 year career at DHS, I can no longer be silent about the dangerous state of America’s counter-terror strategy, our leaders’ willingness to compromise the security of citizens for the ideological rigidity of political correctness—and, consequently, our vulnerability to devastating, mass-casualty attack.

Just before that Christmas Day attack, in early November 2009, I was ordered by my superiors at the Department of Homeland Security to delete or modify several hundred records of individuals tied to designated Islamist terror groups like Hamas from the important federal database, the Treasury Enforcement Communications System (TECS). These types of records are the basis for any ability to “connect dots.” Every day, DHS Customs and Border Protection officers watch entering and exiting many individuals associated with known terrorist affiliations, then look for patterns. Enforcing a political scrubbing of records of Muslims greatly affected our ability to do that. Even worse, going forward, my colleagues and I were prohibited from entering pertinent information into the database.

Or in this case, removing the dots.

One has to be careful, this could just be a disgruntled employee gripe. On the other hand it could be straight up truth. If it is true, this is a treasonous act. Congress sits there with their thumbs in nether regions and wonder why Trump is still in play in the polls. The People sense that the country is going down and suspect that its an inside job.

It be treason, it is time to stop it.

Herman forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was MAD!!! She told
him, “tomorrow morning I expect to find a gift in the driveway that
goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE!”

The next morning when she woke up, she looked out in the middle of the
driveway to find a gift wrapped box. She opened the box and found a
    brand new bathroom scale.

Herman has been missing since last Friday.

love the joke…just debating whether to tell it to my wife. If I go “missing”, it’s YOUR fault! 🙂

    Splendid analogy on the “dots”.

I actually kinda liked the connect-the-dots puzzles as a child.

For example, if you connect all the dots on a particular puzzle in the right order it might make a ferocious tiger…ready to strike and kill! [gasp!]

BUT, in his speech at a mosque a couple days ago Obama demonstrated that if you remove several key “dots”, and change the numbering order on some others, that “ferocious tiger” becomes a soft cuddly little lamb. SWEEEET!

Obama and his diseased ilk are VERY good at erasing key dots, and changing the sequence of others, to make deadly and disastrous things look soft & cuddly.

But, as drdog notes…there’s still time to buy more ammo

PC madness is indeed one of the greatest “Superweapons” of the Left.

It simultaneously makes naming, or even noting the existence of, your enemy a punishable offense…while sapping the will to fight back by declaring it’s YOUR fault someone wants to harm you in the first place.

The question I have is how much influence will Obama have after he leaves the White House. Hill and Bill have been around 25 years, Jimmy Carter45 years. They have done immeasurable damage to the security of this nation in that time, even in their unofficial status. I shudder just thinking about the Kenyan pos replicating that.

drdog, I was living in L.A. at the time…I’m not even sure it was shown locally on T.V. (the game wasn’t sold out). I remember listening on the radio.

mullet: “The question I have is how much influence will Obama have after he leaves the White House. Hill and Bill have been around 25 years, Jimmy Carter45 years. “

if it’ll make you feel any better, the United States won’t be around in 25 years…let alone 45 years.

one way or the other a “resolution” or REVOLUTION is coming

I should have the following permanently in my clipboard (since I type it so much): “Unsustainable things do NOT get sustained

in almost every way, the path the USA is on is unsustainable. Economically, militarily, socially, politically. We’re either headed for 1984 or 1775. Either way, it ain’t gonna be pretty.

That was before all the endless pre-game hype. Today on cable there are so many sports channels and they are unwatchable if there isn’t a game on. NHL Hockey is the only ecent thing NBC Sports carries. CBS Sports is horrid and Fox Sports 1 isn’t much better.

JR – you are right, I remember reading recently that the Super Bowl was blacked out in the LA area.

The left can do all they want with Political Correctness. Allowing the national security to be undermined and all. But when this blows up, which it will, it will not go well for them. For many of us on the right wont forget what they have done. Pay back is a bitch best served cold.

Heard yesterday that the Baltic Dry Index hit an all time low of 298. Prior to the last year, the Baltic Dry Index’s all time low was 556 August 1986 (shortly after it was started), the all time high was 11,612 in June of 2008. Two weeks ago I heard there was NOT 1 single ship in transit in the Atlantic. Things are slowly grinding to a halt.

In all these debates the crowds have been stacked for Jeb! and Marco. Trump called them out. Finally. Marco looks immature and young Christie is taking it Marco. Trump and Cruz aren;t taking any crap and Kasich is still karate chopping the air.

“In all these debates the crowds have been stacked for Jeb! and Marco.”

There was “straw poll” of the debate room prior to the debate in the pre-coverage they said marco 1st, mailman second, christi thrid, trump fourth and cruz\jeb followed.

I noticed nearly every single time they never gave what would logically be a question Trump would get first or second they either asked him last (after everyone parroted his lines), or didn’t ask at all. Guy skips last debate does fundraiser for Vets, but doesn’t get asked that question, either time. Brother died from addiction, doesn’t get asked to anwser on that topic, there were some other blatant examples, seemed to skip Cruz at times too. Trump still managed to have a good night though, not sure any damage was done to Cruz. Christie I think probably stood out the most because he was going after Rubio left and right so often.

Paul dropped out, and I don’t much see the difference between Rubio or Cruz except in acting skills. Bring on Mr. Stay Puft and lets get this show on the road.

Did Rubio continue slitting his own throat? And did the ABC moderator bitch continue being a biased bitch?

KH, yeah, that movie. Manages to be about Washington politics without specifically naming which Party the president belongs to. Unlike “The American President”, which totally caricatured Republicans as EVIL and Democrats as SAINTLY.
