Post 9-11 – Refusing to Address the Real Problems
9/11 will be noted in the history books as the day that triggered the dissolution of the Republic -drdog09.
Following the 9-11 Islamic terrorist attacks, George W. Bush and Congress took a number of steps to seemingly make the country safer at the expense of the personal liberty of United States citizens. They also dispatched troops to Afghanistan, which has become the longest war in our nation’s history, and to Iraq, which began the destabilization of the Middle East.
What they refused to do was anything that violated the rules of political correctness. In every case, political correctness trumped (no pun intended) national security. Even though the hijackers were Islamic terrorists, George W. Bush hugged every Islamic cleric he could find and ran around like a moron spouting about how “Islam is the religion of peace.” Nothing was done to eliminate the problem of visa overstays even though the majority of 9-11 terrorists were visa overstays. Nothing was done to secure our borders and little was done to improve port security.
Jeff Sessions, the voice of reason in the Senate addresses the problem.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), the chairman of the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee on Immigration and the National Interest, told Breitbart News exclusively in a pre-September 11th interview that the United States government has dropped the ball in the 15 years since the 9/11 terrorist attacks when it comes to keeping potential terrorists from getting into America.
Specifically, in the wake of the attacks, the 9/11 Commission Report recommended that the United States government implement an entry-exit visa program to track people who come into the United States legally—as many of the 9/11 terrorists did—to ensure they don’t overstay their visas. Sunday was the 15th anniversary of the deadly 9/11 terrorist attacks.
“No, we haven’t,” Sessions told Breitbart News when asked whether the United States has followed through—during both the Republican administration of George W. Bush or the Democratic administration of Barack Obama—on implementing a biometric entry-exit visa tracking program as recommended by the 9/11 Commission Report.
Sessions said it is mostly pro-amnesty “special interest interference” blocking such common sense national security focused reforms.
“It’s a combination of things—special interest interference and bureaucratic dragging of feet and pressure from activist groups and business groups that have blocked this plain, common-sense, that we are absolutely able to execute immediately virtually,” Sessions said. “So it’s really frustrating. Actually, the first legislation to require a biometric entry-exit system was in the 1996 Congress. So that’s 20 years ago. Then, we’ve had three or four more legislative acts to call for this and it has not occurred. I would just say this on how it got started, particularly the 9/11 Commission said the failure to have a biometric entry-exit system threatened the security of the United States and it was one of their top recommendations for the United States to carry out. They came back 10 years later and reviewed how well their recommendations had been followed and one of the few dramatic failures was the entry-exit system. They once again issued a report criticizing the government for failure to produce an entry-exit system and we still haven’t done it.”
Sessions cited an analysis from early 2016 from the Department of Homeland security that there are 500,000 visa overstays per year.
“I think it’s likely to increase in the years to come, as experts have told us, and we’re well past due in fixing this problem and we can do so with a reasonable effort,” Sessions said.
Sessions noted that connections between terrorism and the immigration system are immense, and a serious “threat” to the safety of the United States.
“Terrorism is a great threat,” Sessions said. “We know that several of the 9/11 hijackers were visa overstays and the visa system was used by most of them I think to get into country—and the system impacts most of us. We have clear evidence that at least 40 percent of the individuals illegally in America came on a visa but did not leave when they were supposed to leave. It’s becoming, and it’s going to grow and will become a bigger part of the illegal population in the future. So we have no idea who’s leaving. We brought them in biometrically—they have to have their fingerprint engaged before they enter the United States. But we don’t require them to exit, or clock out, biometrically or otherwise for that matter. So we keep no readily-available list of people who have overstayed their visas. That’s just a very shocking thing, and so easy to fix.”
He added that it would be simple and quick for the government to fix the problem.

A while back I recounted the story of my wife and I discovering a rattlesnake coiled 15 feet from our front door.
I have NEVER hunted rattlesnakes…I have nothing personal AGAINST rattlesnakes. Frankly, “Rattlesnake Lives Matter”!
I KILLED the snake. It was on MY property, posing a VERY likely threat to my family (including my dog), and would very likely have given birth to LOTS more rattlesnakes that would have then claimed my property as theirs because they were born there (rattlesnake “Dreamers”).
I could have relocated (deported) the snake to another part of the forest…but it LIKED the spot it had found, and would have returned again & again. My wife & I could have stocked up on anti-venom for us and our dog, or avoided parts of our property.
But instead I killed it…and it has never been a problem again.
Problems only go away when the ROOT CAUSE is solved. Bush went after alQueda and Saddam…but they were SYMPTOMS, not “root causes”. ISLAM is the root cause…ISLAM is the rattlesnake.
[3]
JR #2 – how would you have reacted if the government, in it’s infinite wisdom, arbitrarily and unilaterally decided to drop 10,000 snakes onto your property without your approval? And further, if you asked them how many of those snakes were venomous, and their response was that they had no idea, what would your reaction be? Finally, imagine if anything you said about this dangerous intrusion and the threat to your family was immediately turned into a public vilification of you as a monster who hated God’s creatures and wanted to kill them.

Had a discussion with a Dem neighbor recently about the pervasive Hillary lying. He admitted that she lies frequently, and that he doesn’t like it, but plans to vote for her anyway.
I said “If honesty no longer matters to you, then maybe you should question what the Democrat Party has done to you rather than what the Democrat Party has done for you.”
Silence.
[5]
JBoz, an excellent addition to my rattlesnake episode!
AND if I objected to the government dropping 10,000 snakes on my yard…or DARED to even THINK that some could be venomous, I would be labeled “DEPLORABLE” and “Ophidiophobic”.
(Yes, I had to look up “fear of snakes”)

KH,1,
Excellent find!! Downloading now. Just conjecture, but it would not be beyond the realm of possibility in the future that possession of these docs might put you in the terrorist classification. Mere possession mind you.

“9/11 will be noted in the history books as the day that triggered the dissolution of the Republic -drdog09.”
Several things were going thru my mind when I wrote that. There is the obvious one that BC relates quite well here. The root causes were/are not being addressed. One cannot defeat an enemy till one can recognize the enemy. The enemy is of the mind and lesser of the body. In that vein, like the Crusades of yore, it is a battle of a view of life, or more narrowly religion. The West’s best singular armament is Christianity in all its forms vs Islam. Yet we lead with a secular view with bombs and .223 rather than a division of old line Jesuits let loose on the Inmans. The former maybe quick but indecisive while the latter takes longer but is final.
Of somewhat lesser scope but deeply important to US citizens is how far we have diverged from our Founders principles. Take 9/11. The way we did it (and still are) is to let the ‘professionals’ handle it. From the moment that Bush stood on the rubble of the WTC that was the message.
The Founders I suspect would have had a quite different reaction. A president Madison would well have stood on the rubble of WTC but the message would have been quite different. The Navy and Marines would have been sent to destroy the perpetrators. aka there would be not Saudi princes lying about and the country would be in the hands of a American magistrate. The citizenry would be called to arms for civil defense, there would be no DHS, no strip searches at airports, no mass shootings for the whole body of the Republic would be armed. Divisions of the Army would be on the border and would shoot when shot at. Arrest, conviction and disposition of perpetrators would be handled by the locals in local courts.
The Founders believed in a trust model that the citizenry of the whole would in time of need ‘do the right thing’ for all. Today we operate in a trust model of ‘them vs us’, that no one is to be trusted till further notice.
Sad really, we should be emulating the Swiss.

You gonna get in the BJG college football pool this week (see yesterday’s thread for games and email instructions)?
[13]
I watched Trump’s rally in North Carolina yesterday. He is really on message. He invited some attendees up on stage and asked them to describe how they are not “deplorable.”
Included was a black couple and a black man.
Trump has been wise not to hammer the health issue, simply wishing Hillary a speedy recovery.
I really hope Hillary doesn’t drop out.
[14]
In sober retrospect all you can honestly say about 9/11/2001 is that Islam won the day, and they are winning the war as well.
[15]
PS to 14……they are winning the war with the help of our Ruling Elite and their propagandists.

Another book, pdf form, that might get you in hot water — http://www.pdfarchive.info/pdf/V/Vo/Von_Dach_Bern_H_-_Total_resistance.pdf — Consider it a adjunct to my Primer posting.
It does assume a Swiss model of formation, ie the arms are already in possession of the civilian resistance movement.

Very true. And Muslims have perfected “playing the victim card” to an art form. To hear them talk, Muslims were the real victims of Ft. Hood, Chattanooga, Orlando, Paris and even 9-11.

Drdog, #11 was a perfect adjunct to bc3b’s post.
When Bush told Americans to “go shopping” he threw the “game”. He SHOULD have told Americans to gird their loins for a fight for civilization. And he SHOULD have told Muslim Americans and Muslims everywhere: “You are either for us, or against us. No one is permitted to be ‘neutral’. Neutrality will be treated as hostility…and that includes our allies and enemies.”

23,
What was not mentioned was that Bill entered HRC’s room that caused the fainting….
[27]
25,
sounds like a scene out of the movie Coma. I am right back to my question — Who are Dims voting for? HRC or Tim Kaine?
[28]
Laura Ingraham brought up an excellent point today regarding Hillary’s name being pulled, and which adds urgency to the Dems decision process: EARLY VOTING has begun, and more States will join in over the coming weeks. EVERY vote for Hillary becomes lost to the Dems.
Unless, of course, Obama declares everyone must Re-vote. Unconstitutional? Sure…so what?
[29]
drdog – #27 – there is a 3rd option. Think Woodrow Wilson if Hillary is incapacitated, think Huma.
[30]
28,
My observation is that the Dims aren’t thinking. HRC campaign at this point has been playing 4 corner defense in the hope of riding out a lead. Soooooo… DNC leaves HRC on the ballot (pretty much because they have to.) She stays ‘viable’ till the swearing in, takes the oath then disappears. (Can’t imagine her walking the blvd to the WH.) The 25th Amend is invoked, HRC shuffles off to her mansion to die and Tim Kaine takes office.
What is not to like? cough, cough, cough.
There is a question that gets to be asked too — If Tim Kaine is OK to be Veep why is he unacceptable as POTUS to the DNC? He is in the line of succession, it is a given should POTUS go down he’s the new man.
[31]
GN, that observation is quite possible.

28 Does Uniparty have the votes to postpone the election if Hag withdraws or needs time?
Congressional Action
The Constitution does not expressly grant authority to anyone to postpone a federal election, advises a 2004 Congressional Research Service report. The report, however, concludes that Congress could pass a law to reschedule elections in times of emergency or other extenuating circumstances. Congress also has the ability to delegate rescheduling authority to the executive branch or state officials, states the report.
[34]
lisa just got trump another 10 million votes
[35]
She is not going to be replaced. You may end up with the movie DAVE if she does win though. Betting sites recovered for her in the last 24hr, down a bit from where she was but still in 60-65%. Media acting like it didn’t happen and as expected backing her 99% on us ‘deplorables’. Obama’s back to the only thing he does best – campaigning, media will make this a Trump vs Obama race. I’m convinced unless she has another episode this is all going down the beach-bit memoryhole with the LIV’s by end of this week, as by then they will have thrown enough sh1t in the air to obfuscate it away – for now.
32 -wtf indeed.
[36]
KH, I’m not sure even the Ministry of Truth can explain away Hillary…but they’re sure trying
[37]
Two things are looming:
1) Any additional medical event – and considering that we’ve seen 2 in the past 10 days, I would say that it’s likely if she spends any time in public. In fact, she is probably having serious medical events every day, but we don’t get to see them because she’s holed up in Chappaqua with medical staff at her side 24/7.
2) Julian Assange rides to the rescue.
These two things have the potential to push this election over the tipping point and it’s game over. Absent these, it will be a full court press by our “objective media” to coronate the bride of satan.
[38]
[39]
33,
There is a prescription in the Constitution, Art I, Sec 4 —
The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.
The question, does anybody think that the GOPers would go for changing the date? Yeah, I don’t even think they are that stupid…..

I’m not counting on it. I mean I’m sure has something interesting he’s saving for a lul in the news cycle, I’m guessing it’s not so much bombshell as it is just interesting connections or shows she lied about a few this… all of which will be buried of course after a day or two, if it even gets that much coverage. The reason the DNC hack actually got the coverage it did was timing, plus… the Bernie people (and and around the media – either media themselves or their ‘sources’) didn’t wanted it covered up, and of course there was zero actual risk to Hilda’s nomination – so why not throw them a bone. Most of those folks are full on hilda people at this point. IDK… I’m just not expecting whatever Wikileaks has to be bombshell – msm can’t ignore type stuff – Whatever it is probably somewhat complicated with the foundation, requires people to have a memory, and be able to put 2+2+2 together to equal 6, that excludes many voters, not to mention a fair amount of the press – whom even if they could do the math surely don’t want to talk about it.
[45]
41 – Prediction – A fair amount of those who “hate” the media still get sucked in and played by that very same “media” they claim to hate, on a daily\weekly basis.
