Obama: More Government Power; Less Freedom
An article from Forbes, but it could have very well have been written by one of us.
Barack Obama said he wanted to transform America and in many ways he has succeeded.
The problem is that his transformation has done enormous and perhaps irreparable damage to the nation by demolishing the people’s confidence that our laws will be impartially enforced. Instead of, as the Constitution requires of the president, taking care that the laws be faithfully executed, Obama and his minions have operated under a completely different concept – that the laws will be enforced (or not) with the objective of maintaining the incumbent party in power.
If you doubt that, I recommend reading Liberty’s Nemesis, published earlier this year by Encounter Books.
Editors Dean Reuter and John Yoo have collected there twenty-six excellent essays to make the big point that the Constitution’s carefully wrought system of divided power and checks and balances meant to protect against the dangerous concentration of governmental power has been so weakened that it now barely functions.
We face, as the book’s subtitle puts it, the unchecked expansion of the state. That unchecked power did not begin with Obama, but his administration has pushed us far into uncharted waters of uncontrolled executive power. As a result, the people’s liberty has taken a beating and the old concept of the rule of law has become a bad joke.

I have lived an honest and honorable life. In my soon to be 58 years, other than some (now humorous) teenage escapades and maybe a few parking tickets, I have mostly followed the law. When faced with life’s difficult choices between what is the morally correct thing vs what’s best for Boz, I have mostly acted in an ethical manner, and certainly more so as I have matured. Still, even with my relatively squeaky clean life, if I knew the FBI was scouring over 650,000 of my emails, I would be in the fetal position on my bathroom floor and in a state of sheer panic.
The fact that HRC can still put on that ridiculous grin and continue her campaign as though she doesn’t have a care in the world demonstrates what a complete sociopath she really is.

Scenario:
A burglar breaks into a home, and discovers a body on the floor…and one that has obviously been murdered (a knife is sticking out of their back). The burglar flees the scene and anonymously reports the crime they ILLEGALLY stumbled on (they were, after all, breaking into the house).
Question:
Should the police investigate the murder? Or should they shrug their shoulders and say: “Drat, we wish we had found the body via a Search Warrant.”???
The Democrat SPIN today, and it is everywhere, is that the FBI should not do anything with the material on Weiner’s hard drive…because it was stumbled onto during an investigation of a DIFFERENT crime. They allege the same thing with the WikiLeaks dumps.
Oh, and the Democrats are still screeching: “It’s the RUSSIANS!!!” Funny, when Mitt Romney indicated the Russians were a threat, during a 2008 debate, the media/Dems howled with laughter.
The “knife” sticking out of the murder victim has Hillary’s fingerprints all over it…but the Democrats do NOT want the crime investigated. The “murder victim”, btw, is America.

The newest round of polling was conducted on the heels of the FBI renewing an investigation of Hillary Clinton regarding classified emails. These surveys are the first to be publicly released in the country that were fielded after news regarding the FBI investigation broke last Friday.
Significant findings are that Trump has broken a tie in Florida and has opened up a four point lead over Clinton, closed the gap in Pennsylvania and Colorado and has expanded his leads in Nevada and Ohio. North Carolina remains close with Trump’s three point lead a week ago now down to a two point lead.
Last week, we found a presidential race where Hillary Clinton held a clear advantage.
This week,we find an increasingly competitive race with just eight days to go.
Trump appears to be holding strong in his must win states
and Colorado remains within the margin of error. The data also show that Pennsylvania
has moved into the margin of error category.
Keep in mind this is Jeff Roe’s group. (Cruz’s pollster and think KAC’s ‘internal pollster’ – or at least she has cited them recently quite a bit)

Re PA polling, I’m hopeful that the “Undecided” and “Someone Else” will break strongly for Trump.
