The Warrior and the Cowards
Last night Donald Trump turned what looked like a major defeat into a victory. He did it by doing what no recent Republican nominee or any of the 16 other contenders for the GOP nomination would have done. He took off his gloves, threw political correctness out the window and fought to win.
Can you picture either of the Bushes, McCain or Romney fighting back the way Trump did last night? No, they would have been afraid to attack a woman for fear of being called sexist just as McCain and Romney were afraid to attack Obama for fear of being called racist.
Yet scores of Republicans have condemned Trump and withdrawn their support because of some embarrassingly sexist comments he made in private a decade ago. Perhaps the most hypocritical of all is Alabama Governor Robert Bentley, who says he can no longer vote for Trump. Bentley is currently going through a nasty divorce because of an extramarital affair. Yet, he claims he cannot vote for Trump because of some sexist remarks made a decade ago?
There is so much at stake in this year’s election. The next President will likely nominate 3-5 Supreme Court Justices, hundreds of lower Federal court judges, the economy, terrorism, trade, jobs and other key issues. Yet, Republicans place political correctness and, in many cases special interests,m above the good of the country.

The past 72 hours have been interesting. And as “shocked” as the talking heads are, this is classic Dem election playbook. Scour the dumpsters looking for dirt, hang onto it until just the right moment, then release it along with orchestrated MSM 24/7 handwringing. And of course, the RINOs are squirming with the “See, we should have never let this guy be our nominee” talk. The thing is, this playbook would have been used exactly the same for any of the R candidates. Cruz has his skeletons, Rubio, Kasich…everyone is human, and if they can’t find something, then they make it up (like with Mr. Squeaky Clean Mormon and the dog abuse story).
The difference is that with all the typical weak kneed establishment types, this is exactly the point in the campaign where they would curl up into the fetal position. DJT is fighting this head on, aggressively and without batting an eye. It’s war now…you punch me in the nose, I respond mercilessly with a tire iron to your face. This should get interesting.

What I find particularly interesting are the unions. They are about split. A third realize that Trump might actually get their members jobs. Another third are going the same old pay-for-play with the Dims. Another third are just staying on the sidelines. Usually all of them are in lockstep with the Dim machine.

Last Thursday I went to the Franklin Graham rally/prayer in downtown Columbus Thursday. He mention prayer, repentance and seeking God. That neither the Democrat or Republican party can save us. That there is really only option – God. He encouraged us to get involved politically as us Evangelicals for so long have stay away from politics.
He mentioned that some where between 20 to 30 million evangelicals DID NOT vote in the last Presidential election. He said that if they had voted, would Obama be in the White House? He stated that it was OUR RESPONSIBILTY to pray, inform ourselves and VOTE. He stated several times VOTE. He said that the next President had 1 selection for the Supreme Court and maybe 3 even 4 – so VOTE. This would determine the direction of the country for the next 50 to 100 years, so VOTE.
Franklin Graham is doing his part to rally evangelicals for God and the country. Over the last year he has or will go to each of the 50 state capitals with the same message. Repentance, prayer and VOTE.
The only way the Democrats can win is through cheating and depressing our vote. So VOTE, encourage others to vote, take others to vote – do not let the Democrats discourage you.

Read today that Franklin Graham will be in all 50 state capitals over the next four weeks to spread the message of prayer, trusting God, and the importance of voting. His focus is not just the power of prayer, but also the importance of Christians in the political process. Thirty million evangelicals did not vote in 2012. He intends to change that.

In the end, Morehead City only got a couple of inches of rain and 60 mph wind, mostly as the back side passed us. North Carolina, on the other hand, is being severely impacted by flooding as the rains pushed inland.
