Bush43 Goes Trump Bashing
George W. Bush kept totally silent during the eight years of the Obama Administration. Less than two months into the Trump presidency, he is opening up with criticism as he promotes his book. First there was the interview on the Today show and now an article in People Magazine.
Is he getting retribution for his family for Trump pointing out what a low-energy boob brother Jeb, was just as he invaded Iraq and destabilized the Middle East to avenge Dear Old Dad? Is Gringo Jorge concerned that President Bush is going to stop the flow of uneducated Hispanics into the US or derail the Bush Family’s dream of globalism, the North American Union and the new world order?
Bush43 makes a big deal out of cycling with disabled veterans. Now his book is supposed to call attention to “wounded warriors.” Did he ever stop and think that if it wasn’t for him, these veterans might not be disabled and 8,500 vets wouldn’t be committing suicide every year?
Like all RINOs, Bush43 desperately wants the media and liberals to love him. Hate to break this to you Georgie but they never will and, at the rate you are going, few patriots will ever buy your book either.
For eight years since leaving the White House, George W. Bush has refused to criticize publicly those who succeeded him, saying he didn’t want to make an already tough job any harder for President Obama and, now, President Trump.
But one rocky month into Trump’s tenure, it’s harder to keep quiet.
“I don’t like the racism and I don’t like the name-calling and I don’t like the people feeling alienated,” Bush, 70, tells PEOPLE in an interview for the new issue of the magazine on newsstands Friday.
“Nobody likes that.”
The former president, joined by his wife Laura, spoke with PEOPLE in the third-floor painting studio of their Dallas home to launch his first art book, Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors. The collection of portraits of the wounded warriors of America’s war on terror aims to raise awareness and funds for the post-9/11 veterans’ health care and employment programs of the George W. Bush Presidential Center.
(snip)
Bush called the political climate in Trump’s Washington “pretty ugly” (“I’m not going back nowhere!” he added for emphasis), but said he isn’t feeling anxious about the direction of the country. “Not really. I’m optimistic about where we’ll end up. … We’ve been through these periods before and we’ve always had a way to come out of it. I’m more optimistic than some.”Asked if he felt compelled to play a leadership role in these divisive times, Bush went on:“No. When President Obama got elected, friends would call: ‘You must speak out! You must do this, you must do that.’ Turns out, other people are doing the same thing this time. I didn’t feel like speaking out before because I didn’t want to complicate the job and I’m not going to this time. However, at the Bush Center we are speaking up.”
The couple list some of the center’s work that stands in contrast to Trump’s isolationism: immigration ceremonies, women’s reproductive-health programs in Africa, and leadership training for Muslim women that the Bush Center brings to Texas from the Middle East. Asked if Trump’s determination to restrict immigration and travel from Muslim countries threatens the Bush Center programs, he shrugs. “Now that you mention it, it might bother me but we’ll figure out how to bring them over.”
“There’s a lot of ways to speak out,” the former president says, “but it’s really through actions defending the values important to Laura and me. … We’re a blessed nation, and we ought to help others.”
A spokesman for Bush previously told PEOPLE that ither he nor the former first lady voted for Trump – or for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton – in November. Both of the Bushes, who had campaigned for Bush’s younger brother Jeb in the 2016 Republican primaries, cast write-in votes on Election Day for a candidate they did not reveal.

But of course and could explain quite a lot as to editorial outlook —
[2]
I voted for Bush twice. I hate to admit it out loud.

MIC,
Even a presidential pick can be a relative choice. So your alternatives were ‘God its getting warm’ Gore OR ‘Magic Hat’ Kerry. Right picks, bad execution on the part of the winner.
My observation about politics of say the last 30 years is that the Pols don’t when to fold. Its like every problem needs a ‘solution’ when sometimes the best move is not to play. If we had done nothing but made the WTC 50 stories taller we would have been better off than what the ME is now. I concede its all monday morning quarterbacking too.
[5]
MIC –
Both Bushes fooled a lot of us. Had Reagan not agreed to have George HW Bush as his VP, it’s doubtful George W. or Jeb ever would have made it to be governor, let alone Bush43 president.
Fortunately the voters wised up and totally rejected his moronic little brother.
As drdog09 states – while it’s hindsight, Bush43 created the ME instability. There was NOTHING linking Saddam Husien to 9-11. If we should have declared war on anyone in the ME, it should have been the Saudis.
As I said before, I wonder if Bush43 ever realizes that many of the “Wounded Warriors” are disabled because of him and his policies.
[6]
MIC, I also voted for “W” twice.
I was going to whore myself out to a Mexican brothel to get back my self-respect…but then I voted for Trump.
Problem solved! 🙂

the treason begins
As time goes by, trump may start resembling bush.

~~~~~~RANCID PENIS~~~~~
The powers that be within the GOP,
Embrace this cluster foxtrot called amnesty,
Their days will be numbered and rightfully so,
These gelded eunuchs of the rino status quo,
At defending the stars and bars they do cringe,
So fearfull are they of the radical fringe,
These lace pantied pussies that screw thee and me,
To the dustbin of history may their futures be,
Rancid penis the judas goat leading the pack,
Is ready and willing to stab us all in the back.
Don’t be shocked if trump comes out for his “path to citizenship” for illegals bullshit tonight.
If so everyone many will be wondering why Ted Cruz wasn’t the nominee.
[11]
Too bad we have so many crappy senators. Best option would be to just shut the Trump presidency down completely in protest until there was a primary challenger in 2020, but the senators are basically useless.
[12]
Jeb Bush to give speech tonight apparently
[13]
Fake news, celebrities, democrats react to GWB calling Trump a racist.
[14]
Never Trust W.
[15]
This is why Bernie wanted to be president so badly (and why Trump was a vote against corruption in that sense)
Western political leaders are guaranteed instant and massive wealth once they leave office. Perhaps problematic?
[16]
President Paul –
It’s not just national leaders. Look at how many members of Congress started out with limited means and became multi-millionaires. Harry Reid is a prime example. Perhaps no member of Congress ever used the position to dramatically increase wealth more than Dianne Fienstein. Her husband, Richard Blu, heads CBRE Richard Ellis. Blum made hundreds of millions (perhaps a billion) on old post office buildings.
He also stands to make another big payday off Kalifornia’s bullet train to nowhere. The Feinstein/Blums make the Blairs look like paupers.
[17]
Venezuela has a Bus driver president who took all the country’s money.
We have Paul Ryan who is the GOP brain who drove the Oscar Mayer weiner truck before he became leader of the GOP.
just shut the Trump presidency down completely in protest ” prez paul
Other than amnesty that he is toying with , there is nothing to protest.
[20]
W’s high water mark was the week after 9/11. All downhill after that.
Now I’m hearing a distinction being made between “a path to citizenship” and ” path to legality.” Not sure about that, and too many left wing judges to risk that in an immigration bill.
I rather have a senate bill made up of IP’s limericks.
All the laws about immigration have long been on the books. Literally nothing not one thing needs to be passed. E-verify is a BAD idea.
[23]
WBF
[24]
E verify if used could have stopped some of this crap.
[25]
E-verify is fake carrot used to bring conservatives to the table to promote “comprehensive immigration reform.” Eisenhower did not need E-verify to stop illegal immigration.
E-Verify also is based on the soviet work licenses people had to have to work which gives someone like Obama, Bush or Trump absolute power.
[26]
Trump falls for that and the Democrats will have him right where they want him. Untrusted by those who brung’m and a turncoat.
Only thing that saves this country now is collapse.
[27]
“E-Verify also is based on the soviet work licenses people had to have to work which gives someone like Obama, Bush or Trump absolute power.”
PPaul, let take you down to Harry Hines Blvd in Dallas. I can have you a SS#, drivers license and other forms of ID in half an hour for $200. Every bit of it will pass I-9 muster for eVerify. eVerify fails because there is no jail time for businesses that flaunt the law.
By the way what you mention about work permits is not a work permit. What you are referencing is a propiska (пропи́ска) aka residence permit to live somewhere. Might as well be a work permit. Its hard to work in Moscow if your propiska is for Leningrad because you can’t find an apartment to live in.
“Eisenhower did not need E-verify to stop illegal immigration.” You are right only by terminology. In 1942 the US instituted a Bracero program to solve the labor shortage during the war. But… Eisenhower thru agency knew who was there since to be on the program you had to have completed forms and carry something very much like a green card back then. Essentially Eisenhower had it easy — they knew who, what, where and how long a Bracero had been in country.
[28]
At least he didn’t breech the path to citizenship bullshit, although he did push paid family leave that the left is so enamoured of.
[29]
Dems who dressed in white will be wearing black after the ass kickings in the next eight years.
They are a disgrace. Jackasses truly
[30]
Every time I think of establishment republicans undermining President Trump, I wonder why they would be happier with President hillary in his place???
[31]
Probably.
[32]
Didn’t get to see or hear the speech…but just read several reviews and apparently he did extremely well.
This should get him some breathing space to govern…let’s see what happens next.
[33]
32 – He did very well JR, and none of the BS everyone is biting on (fake news?) was in the speech (suicide had it been), mostly the opposite.
30 – The anwser to that for nearly every one of them is YES.
[34]
Eisenhower didn’t have 12 states issuing documents and licenses to drive to illegals, and hundreds of cities flaunting in everyone’s face their disregard of our borders.
What was also remarkable about the speech last night was how small and petty the Dems looked. It was obvious, even to some truly middle-of-the-road folks I know who are not Trump fans.
[37]
JBoz, this article echoes what you wrote:
https://pjmedia.com/rogerlsimon/2017/02/28/is-february-28-2017-the-night-the-democratic-party-died/
[38]
Eisenhower, or even Reagan didn’t n face the organized resistance Trump is facing or will face. Hispanics were not that well organized, democrats didn’t realize what an important group they were to the party and social justice warriors didn’t exist.
[39]
37,
Simon is not exactly my cup of tea, but that was a sensible well written piece.
[40]
Market up over 240 points, take that dem scum suckers.
[41]
A little tactical session if you please….
I attended an Oncor meet and greet job presentation for our students. They are the regulated electric distribution corp for most of north and west texas. Now the interesting tidbit. Oncor buys its 38400kv transformers from an outfit in the Netherlands. Each one costs $5m and has an 18mo lead time from order to ready to ship. Every major substation has at least 2 of these units. They only have one ‘spare’ and its on a mobile platform as needed.
Which ids’ the single point of failure should a terrorist group want to have lasting effects on the Texas power grid.
[42]
Oprah is considering a run for President.
She has two problems:
1. Obama exhausted the country’s total supply of white guilt.
2. The “woman card” didn’t work for Hillary.
On the plus side, there is a precedent of having a black woman with a huge butt living in the White House.
[43]
42,
But does Oprah have ‘smooth shoulders’? That seems the only body part the MSM ever swooned about.
