Gotta love those classic political punch lines!

    Mullet from the prev thread:
Hillary Clinton was asked how her friend Harvey Weinstein’s actions compared to her husband’s, and her reply……….”close, but no cigar!”

Posted that one at the JOM blog, and got this reply:
Hillary Clinton summoned the ghost of Teddy Kennedy for advice on how to deal with the Harvey Weinstein crisis.
She was distraught that her history of destroying Bill’s accusers was coming back to haunt her.

Teddy’s ghost replied “Don’t worry, that’s all water under the bridge now.”

College upsets keep coming. Boston College upset Louisville.

In one that went unnotived, South Alabama beat Troy 19-8 Thursday night. Troy toppled LSU two weeks ago.

Could the Sunbelt be a stronger conference than the SEC?

Seven of the Top 25 teams lost this week. Miami and USC won by a single point. Virginia Tech and Notre Dame did not play, so 7 of the 23 top-ranked teams lost.

There were a number of upsets outside the Top 25 (e.g. Boston College beating Louisville).

Eph, did you bet your hunch on the Sun Devils?

    Pic #1..

Also: I thought comedians were supposed to know their audiences? Not a big deal but this brought a little smile to my face given it was CO.

    1,3,

Well yes it is. Its survival instinct. See November 1 is coming up. Me, Bubba and the Boys swab down the guns ‘cuz that day is the start of deer season. If it wasn’t for the gentle reminder, having so much fun ‘out there’, we might forget to come home at all. 🙂

And I wish more Congressmen talked like this guy
    https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/278412/
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Ala.) said any member of Congress who refuses to figure out ways to reduce federal spending and move closer to a balanced budget is “betraying their country and betraying the future of our kids and grandkids.”

The U.S. national debt recently surpassed $20 trillion.

I watch with great interest what is happening in Europe.

Had a man from Norway in my home this week end. We were watching the news of the Austrian election. With 31 year old conservative Kurz winning – taking a huge anti-EU turn. My Norwegian friend surprised me when he said “Why Not?” Then he unleashed comments about how great economy in US is under Trump and how the media doesn’t give him a positive story. I was being careful and HE unleashed my thoughts.
Next in line could be Czech Republic but the media is digging up as much dirt as people.

MIC, the media/Dem/Progressive/Fascist cabal is out of gas…but not out of venom.

And they have plenty of VENOM! I get into “discussions” with Leftists on Facebook all the time (it’s a hobby 🙂 ) …and the discussion lasts just long enough for them to realize they have NOTHING intelligent to say. They then label me a “____IST!” (fill in the blank, depending on the topic) and claim they are waaaaaay too “socially virtuous” to continue talking with someone so DEPLORABLE!

Happens all the time. I can actually predict how many attempts at slogan-hurling they will engage in before they fall back on their AWESOME social-virtue.

    MIC,

The East Europeans have an advantage over the rest of the EU crowd. They saw what was the end game of what the EU intends to head before they get there — Soviet style socialism. They want none of it.

    MY DEAF WIFE…”Priceless”

A man feared his wife wasn’t hearing as well as she used to and he thought she might need a hearing aid.
Not quite sure how to approach her, he called the family doctor to discuss the problem. The Doctor told him there
is a simple informal test the husband could perform to give the doctor a better idea about her hearing loss.
Here’s what you do,” said the Doctor, “stand about 40 feet away from her, and speak in a normal conversational speaking tone to see if she hears you.
If not, go to 30 feet, then 20 feet,
and so on until you get a response.”
That evening, the wife is in the kitchen cooking dinner, and he was in the den. He says to himself, “I’m about 40 feet away, let’s see what happens.”
Then in a normal tone he asks, ‘Honey, what’s for dinner?”
    No response..
So the husband moves closer to the kitchen, about 30 feet from his wife and repeats, “Honey, what’s for dinner?”
    Still no response..
Next he moves into the dining room where he is about 20 feet from his wife and asks, “Honey, what’s for dinner?”
    Again no response.
So, he walks up to the kitchen door, about 10 feet away.. “Honey, what’s for dinner?”
    Again there is no response.
So he walks right up behind her…
    “Honey, what’s for dinner?”

    (I just love this)

“Ralph, for THE FIFTH time, it’s chicken”
