On October 17, TheHill.com reported that the FBI, using an undercover informant, an American businessman, had substantial evidence of extortion, bribery, kickbacks and money laundering by Russian nuclear industry officials in 2009. That was well before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in 2010 approved the sale of a majority interest in Canadian mining company Uranium One to Russian nuclear company Rosatam. That purchase gave Rosatam control of over 20 percent of the US’s uranium reserves.

Both Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Attorney General Eric Holder sat on CFIUS. It’s conceivable Clinton didn’t know of the FBI’s investigation. Not so Holder; the FBI is part of the Department of Justice. The Clinton Foundation received donations in excess of $100 million from interested parties on both sides of the Uranium One sale. The CEO of Uranium One at the time of the sale, Frank Guistra, was a large donor and sat on the Clinton Foundation board.

Just before the sale, Bill Clinton received $500,000 from a Russian bank with ties to the Russian government for a speech in Moscow. He met with Vladimir Putin while he was there. Hillary Clinton has denied any connection between her vote to approve the Uranium One sale and the money her foundation and husband received.

Holder’s Justice Department took four years to bring an indictment against Vadim Mikerin, who led the Russian nuclear effort in the US. There was no public notice of the Justice Department investigation. Mikerin was arrested and charged in 2014, convicted in 2015—a plea deal for one charge of money laundering—and is now in prison. The Justice Department issued an innocuous press release announcing the conviction just before Labor Day. It also required the FBI’s informant to sign a nondisclosure agreement prohibiting him from testifying before congressional committees. It appears the department wished to attract no attention to the matter.

Read the whole Thing, its that good.

drdog, the crimes reported in this post and all the other Clinton/Holder/Obama/Lynch crimes will go by the wayside now…Paul Manafort did something bad 5 years ago, and now EVERYTHING else will be quickly forgotten .

Mueller only does the bidding of the Democrats

1, Entirely possible. But my gut says that the UraniumOne deal get spotlighted as a national security issue by the GOPers. As such Meuller himself is implicated which depending on the pace of event may in fact overshadow the Manafort skullduggery.

We shall see. But as BC pointed out it is definitely beer and popcorn time.

I do see that Manafort was indicted today. It will be a horse race as to which meme, Russians or UOne, gets top billing. Most certainly the Jurnos will be pitching the Manafort issue. But the question is will they if as was happening last week the whole dossier story turned back on them.

Personally, I don’t buy the part where Trump is motivated by a desire for power. He’s what? Seventy years old? Desire for political power would have shown itself decades ago if it was a prime motivator.
But the description of the dangers to the Dem party are persuasive.

I’m reading that the Manafort crimes were committed before the campaign. Actually, while he worked for Podesta.
Journos will repeat “Trump’s campaign manager” over and over. But if the charges branch out, they can only lead in the Podesta direction.
If I understand correctly, Mueller only has authorization to investigate the Trump campaign for collusion? Thus a DoJ or new special prosecutor would be needed to go forward from here.

Jim: “If I understand correctly, Mueller only has authorization to investigate the Trump campaign for collusion”

that SHOULD have been the case. BUT, Sessions let his #2 man set the “conditions” for Mueller…and he set NONE.

Mueller can go all the way back to the Garden of Eden and charge Eve with “Enticement” if he wants to.

    13,

Now that is interesting. The question is, would Manafort offer up Podesta as part of a deal? Then will Mueller follow the breadcrumbs to where they lead?

I had the displeasure of spending the better half of a morning with Tony Podesta, and his detestable wife Heather back in 2010. It was right before the mid-term blowout. They were crowing about what an idiot Sarah Palin is, how the Tea Party is racist, and how there was no way the Dems would lose the house. Little did they know. They were gross. She was wearing a diamond ring that was at least 20 carats….paid for indirectly with taxpayer money. She carried herself like a queen…and not in a good way. They just oozed of corruption.

The Fusion GPS connection raises a supremely interesting question: Did the Clinton campaign actually orchestrate the meeting between Trump campaign officials and Veselnitskaya? Is the entire Trump-Russia collusion narrative the result of a Clinton set-up?

Damn good question — http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-10-30/honeypot-was-trump-camps-meeting-russian-lawyer-all-clinton-set — But how about some facts to back it up. Otherwise its so much vapor.

Tucker Carlson has been doing a GREAT job of following this…so great that the Podesta Group has threatened him and FoxNews if they don’t stop reporting it!

“Time has already run out on conservatives. They had 37 years, the Presidency, the House, the Senate, nine Supreme Court nominations, and two economic booms with which to fight the cultural war. And they did absolutely nothing… The Alt-Right acts. The Alt-Right fights. The Alt-Right does not surrender. Because of that, the Alt-Right will be the only Right that survives to defeat the Left.”

16 – Indeed… I saw that news, and was surprised how little attention it got. I mean this is the guy we’ve know for years was involved in pulling that off and he’s been out in the open, including talking to journo’s for the last couple years while we didn’t move a finger to pick him up. You have to wonder why.
