MS-13; Murders the Media Won’t Cover

While CNN and the rest of the leftist media is spending most of its time pushing for gun control, they rarely mention MS-13 even though this vicious gang is growing in strength and responsible for hundreds of murders. MS-13 is spreading like a plague across the country. It already controls areas along Long Island, Maryland and in Kalifornia.

Yet, unless you follow conservative blogs or attend a Trump rally, you are unaware of the growing danger it poses. CNN is great for showing the rare instances in which illegal aliens are valedictorians or doing something heroic. When it comes to MS-13 and DUI deaths, the media is non-so-strangely silent.

The vicious MS-13 gang, stifled under former President George W. Bush, exploded during the Obama era fueled by 300,000 illegals, including those given amnesty under the DACA program, and has now been linked to crimes in 22 states, according to a new report.

Since 2012, 207 murders have been tied to the gang called “Mara Salvatrucha,” and there are over 500 cases nationwide of MS-13 members being charged in major crimes, according to the report from the Center for Immigration Studies.

But it can sometimes be hard to deport the illegals involved because about half of the crimes detailed in the report occurred in so-called “sanctuary cities” that do not cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

President Trump has pledged to crack down on the gang and deport those in the United States illegally, and report author Jessica M. Vaughan suggested that it can’t happen soon enough.

Detailing how the gang rebuilt itself under Obama’s open-border immigration policies, she said, “this resurgence represents a very serious threat to public safety in communities where MS-13 has rebuilt itself. The resurgence is directly connected to the illegal arrival and resettlement of more than 300,000 Central American youths and families that has continued unabated for six years, and to a de-prioritization of immigration enforcement in the interior of the country that occurred at the same time.”

The research she supervised at the immigration think tank found that MS-13 concentrations were in areas where so-called “unaccompanied alien children” were put under Obama, including Virginia, California, Maryland and New York. They included those participating in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals who Democrats in Congress are fighting for.

She cited an example of a Maryland DACA recipient charged with gang activity who urged pals in El Salvador to take advantage of Obama’s policies:

One MS-13 clique leader in Frederick, Md., who had received a DACA work permit and was employed as a custodian at a middle school in Frederick, Md., and who was recently incarcerated for various gang-related crimes, reportedly was told by gang leaders in El Salvador to take advantage of the lenient policies on UACs to bring in new recruits, knowing that they would be allowed to resettle in the area with few questions asked. Several of these unaccompanied minors now have been arrested and incarcerated for various crimes, including a vicious random attack on a sheriff’s deputy in 2015.

Crime, torture and theft are the trademarks of the gang.

“The MS-13 members identified in the cases we found were accused of very serious crimes, including 207 murders. More than 100 were accused of conspiracy/racketeering, and dozens of others were charged with drug trafficking, sex trafficking, attempted murder, sexual assaults, and extortion,” said the report. Vaughan is the center’s policy director.

About half of the MS-13 arrests in the study’s case set (222) occurred in sanctuary jurisdictions.

Llivicura, 16, was one of four young men found slain in a suspected MS-13 gang killing in a park in Central Islip, N.Y., on April 12. 1,

Liberals heads are exploding every where across the fruited plain.

The forces of darkness thought they had finally turned the corner were about to see ‘something done’. Just the opposite happened.

By the way go over to liberty daily, they have a town hall where Dana Leoch mopped the floor with the broward county sheriff. Me thinks he will lose his next election.

Little Mario Rubio wasn’t prepared for the CNN town hall ambush and got massacred. Anyone with an IQ over 50 should realize that if CNN is involved, it’s a set-up. I guess a minimum IQ requirement leaves Little Mario out.

    9,

IP, please notice the word ‘purchase’ that is critical. In the end it is a trade I will take:

    * Bump stocks by their very existence on a rifle reduce accuracy. Pretty much they are only useful like what went down in LV, a packed house. Not much of a loss.

    * I buy a gun (@67). I gift it to my grand daughter on her 14th birthday. Perfectly legal and she can keep and use it. She just can’t purchase it at that age.

    * As a teacher I can be trained and carry a pistol on campus. Essentially eliminating gun free school zones.

We will then see two effects:

    – Perps with any cognitive ability will avoid schools as the chances of any adult they meet might be armed. That will deter school shootings.

    – Perps that don’t have cognitive ability will be taken down with a reduced loss of life. When it gets around that waving a firearm is a way to die quickly, only the insane will approach a school with a water pistol.

When Colombines disappear it will be little noticed by the MSM but more people will survive and it will be known locally that yet another armed teacher saved lives.

If that is the package, I’ll take the trade.

10 – I agree. He’s throwing them a bone. Same thing he did with DACA.

I agree with drdog on this one…and as JBoz notes, it’s just bone, and one they’re unlikely to pick up anyway. 🙂

Excellent column! I’ve already been using many of his arguments, nice to have some more red meat.

His #6 was a little weak. A better defense might have been — “You were promised you could keep your doctor too, remember?”

    Eph,

The trade is — No gun free school zones.

Libs used that as the camel’s nose under the tent to hopefully gut the 2nd amendment by degrees. If implemented, by every shot that saves a child from some intruder perceptions about gun rights will slowly change to one of ‘ugly best lacking any other solution’. Some folks minds don’t get changed till they face a stark choice — someone with a gun saved their kids life. Which by the way is the opposite of what the anti-gunners portray guns as.

Oh and national reciprocity. I would rather see the States handle that one. Think Kelo. 38 States said ‘F you SCOTUS’ and passed their own anti-Kelo laws to protect property rights. That puts the stake in the ground that something like that would not be tried by either the courts or the Feds again. Were most of the States to step up and implement similar reciprocity laws on guns it provides a second line of defense against the Feds.

The Feds are assholes but they can read the graffiti on the wall about cultural drift.
