Feminism’s Final Chapter

When it comes to choosing a college, today’s teenagers consider much more than just academics. Some applicants want to know how good the campus Wi-Fi system is, whether the fitness center offers spin classes or even if the cafeteria has an organic salad bar.

Let me suggest that college-bound high schoolers add one more item to their collegiate checklist: the gender ratio. If applicants and their parents want to know whether the dating scene at a particular college is geared more towards wild hookups or traditional relationships, the best barometer will always be the ratio of women to men on campus.

And, no, it’s not the mostly male colleges where the hookup culture reigns supreme.

How do I know this? Because the way today’s heterosexual college students describe sex and dating at their own schools matches up with the scholarly research on gender ratios and how they affect behavior. As I explain in my book “DATE-ONOMICS: How Dating Became a Lopsided Numbers Game,” when men are in oversupply, the dating culture emphasizes courtship and monogamy. But when women are in oversupply—as they are today at most U.S. colleges and universities—men play the field and women are more likely to be treated as sex objects.

In 2013, the gender ratio among that year’s college graduates was 57:43, women to men. That’s four women for every three men. With girls continuing to outpace boys in school and young women continuing to attend college in ever-greater numbers, the U.S. Department of Education now expects the ratio to approach three women for every two men by 2023.

Innocuous situation? Doubtful. Consider if you will —

* Men marry across and down. Women marry up. Been that way since this country’s founding. Doubtful it will change.
* Women are increasingly going for advanced degrees as a % of enrollment.
* Men are increasingly viewing the college ‘experience’ as hostile to them. The consequence being that more and more they are entering the trades.
* Women are as much hung up on prestige as they are an income stream. The plumber is a better economic choice but they will go for the debt laden doctor every time.

All these factors are accelerating. In some universities the student body is 65% women. Most whom graduate in disciplines other than STEM; arts, HR, ‘studies’ with debt loads to match. Men are becoming aware that the object of their affections maybe be hot in more ways than one. Like a D&B that looks like a train wreck.

Essentially the refrain ‘Where did the good men go’ is real. But the other shoe never drops — it was not mens fault. Which brings us to feminism. The trap of you can have it all is slowly being dispelled. Boomer observations went on deaf ears in this regard, but the GenX and Millennial women are starting to realize it was all a lie and the word is slowly getting out.

Can’t happen soon enough. As it is we are going to have a generation of women being cat ladies and crones all due to faulty ideology. — https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/special/fringe/reviews/Cat-Ladies-Cougars-and-Crones-oh-my-125192089.html

drdog: “Men marry across and down. Women marry up. Been that way since this country’s founding. Doubtful it will change.”

It’s been that way since man first trod the planet…hell, it’s pretty much that way in the entire animal kingdom!

EVERY Social Justice Warrior wet-dream begins and ends with the human race being one amorphous “thing”…ignoring actual differences and needs in the name of JUSTICE!!

Great line from Nick Nolte in a movie where he is a Texas Ranger and his male partner of many years is retiring. His partner says: “Ya know, they may stick you with a female partner when I retire…how would you feel about that??”

Nolte’s response: “I don’t care, as long as she is SIX FEET TALL and MEAN AS A SNAKE!”

Making men more effeminate, and women more butch is NOT the way to a happy and stable society…it is the eve of destruction. Which we are definitely on.

Beware the Vagina vampire or vulva valkyrie ,
Lest they fry your balls on a red hot rotisserie,
These dykes on bikes and divers of muff,
Wear strap on dildoes and like to play rough,
Eschew these practitioners of militant misandry.

President Trump’s crackdown on sanctuary cities and the state of California is having an effect. West Palm Beach City has settled its lawsuit against the Trump administration.

And by settled, I mean dropped it and ordered city employees to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

We tend to get down on President Trump (some more so than others), but when you look what he has accomplished single-handedly. McConnell and Ryan betray him more often than Schumer and Pelosi.

” McConnell and Ryan betray him more often than Schumer and Pel;osi.”

And there tells a lurid tale. We complain that GOPers really don’t want to lead. Its true. But the same could be said of the Dims as well, though the Dims do like the bigger offices of having majority status. Truth be told Uniparty really does not care so long as they get to spend our money.

    So true, bc3b

With Pelosi and Schumer you KNOW what you’re getting…and they don’t even really pretend anymore

Ryan and McConnell? They PRETEND to be supportive, then stab him (and us) in the back.

I’ll take a sworn enemy, over a pretend friend any day! Julius Caesar felt he was among “friends” when he turned to walk away. How’d THAT work out?

You would be astonished at the number of Tesla cars on the road in northern coastal California.

I tend to agree with JR about the backstabbers.
But I (and he) might be wrong. Perhaps GOPe are just people less informed. Maybe we have overlapped values along with a few principled differences. Maybe Ryan, McC and the others can be educated. Maybe Nan and Chuck deserve pride of place on the enemies list.
Time will tell, I’ll keep my mind open.

I have never seen a Tesla car on the road. Of course I live in Metro Detroit. I see plenty of Toyotas, Hondas and Hyundais, but no Teslas. Hardly ever see a Chevrolet Volt.

Status is Detroit is an SUV or a gas-guzzling Dodge Challenger.

the answer to Orange County’s dilemma is so obvious…and is based on drdog’s suggestion:

    https://hotair.com/archives/2018/03/28/orange-county-supervisors-scrap-plan-place-homeless-3-cities/

What to do with the homeless in Orange County? Put them on BUSES and ship to Nancy Pelosi’s zip code. Send along one tent for every 4, and enough supplies for 2 weeks (don’t wanna be heartless). Bus them there, drop them off…problem solved!

If you build it, they will come.

Many of today’s homeless are able-bodied men and women who prefer spending the day socializing and strumming the guitar to working. Eliminate the freebees and they will find work. If you’re on the verge of starving to death, working the drive-thru window at Burger King becomes a great option.

California AG Becerra threatens to arrest the Orange County Sheriff for cooperating with ICE agents and adhering to federal law. The sheriff should tell Becerra to go piss up a rope. ICE agents ought to arrest that traitorous piece of sh!t, and test this conflict and the Supremacy Clause in court, preferably not with a Hawaiian judge playing Don Ho music on his bongo drum.

Well since this would be cast as a State-Federal case, Solicitor General would invoke a docket request directly to SCOTUS. Per Constitution they have to reply. They either take up the case or they would remand to the 1st Circuit DC. Don Ho judge can keep the beat but they won’t be in his court room. 🙂

Drdog, that is brilliant…seriously. Charge the County…wherever it is the U.S. …double or even TRIPLE the normal cost (to cover cleaning fumigating the buses) plus a 25% markup on food, tents, etc to be provided. It would be VASTLY cheaper for every County in America to take them up on it.

    Winner!

Jim – I think it’s fair to say there are few organizations that have a more “anti-citizen/pro-foreigner philosophy” than the US Charmer of Commerce. Thomas Donahue is a vile, despicable man. As long as he gets his, he couldn’t care less if the rest of the country starved to death.
